Re: My Own Version Of Martingale Your Opinion

Useless, the best strategy is doing 1 rotation/sequence of the martingale, it gives you better odds than just betting all your money at once and also much faster than a normal martingale strategy or other strategies that require you to bet thousands of times for no reason.

So really the only main disadvantage of Poirier over Mcgregor is the striking power and skill, however, I don't think Mcgregor was in his best shape at all when he fought Khabib, I'm sure the fight will be a bit closer but Khabib is winning anyhow.
I am hearing all these lame excuses about Conor McGregor not in his best shape when he fought Khabib, no one forced Conor McGregor to fight Khabib as he had more money in his bank account and with is business flourishing there is no point in returning if you are not prepared to take on an undefeated wrestler and he did not back up his big words before the fight and was completely humiliated and now his fans cannot accept the defeat which is cringe worthy  Tongue Cheesy.
The main difference is Dustin Poirier learns with every fight and adjust according to his opponent but Conor just have the same style since i started watching him fight and not much improvement either.

Well, the fight ended and Poirier lost by round 3, Mcgregor survived until mid round 4, as I said, Poirier is simply not a good enough striker to beat Khabib and his takedown defense isn't too good either. At least Mcgregor stopped a few takedowns, Poirier was thrown around like a rag doll.

^  McGregor was fatigued by the third round.  I don't think Poirier gets tired that easy.  He's def a live dog.

Anyway you guys should watch the free fight below in case you haven't yet.  It's an upset.  Wink  I could happen again...

UFC 242:  Embedded Episode 2

UFC 242:  Free Fight - Poirier vs Holloway
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeRz5GiXTiI

True, the way I see it is:

Mcgregor: Best striker, gets tired easily, better than average takedown defense.

Poirier: Good striker but definitely worse than Mcgregor, doesn't get tired, really good takedown defense.

So really the only main disadvantage of Poirier over Mcgregor is the striking power and skill, however, I don't think Mcgregor was in his best shape at all when he fought Khabib, I'm sure the fight will be a bit closer but Khabib is winning anyhow.

Using math you can also prove that some strategies are actually slightly better than others and can in fact even get a bit more house edge percentage in your favor, talking about a pretty small percentage. I believe one sequence of martingale gives you better odds than 1 single bet. For example if you have 1 BTC, it's better to split it in a few smaller amounts and bet using martingale, I don't remember exactly how you had to split it in order to have a better chance.

Really hope Khabib loses this weekend, I’m sick of his boring style, hugging his way to every single victory on the floor. I enjoy watching men fight not roll around on the floor hugging each other.

Sadly I think Khabib will win again because his boring style is so effective.

Well, he dominates his opponents, not really hugging when you are getting destroyed on the ground, the thing is, Khabib doesn't seem to have a strong punch/kick power, he always dominates his opponents on the ground but almost never KO's anyone, which is really hard considering how much damage they receive on the ground. Poirier is not going to win though, if Mcgregor wasn't able to beat Khabib, there is no way Poirier will.

Re: What is MACD(Moving Average Convergence Divergence)? How to use it?
by

on 18/08/2019, 17:59:01 UTC
Similarly to RSI, the MACD simply doesn't work. Well to be totally fair, the RSI does work in very rare instances but you really have to know what you are doing and have a very specific strategy set in mind. You can actually check the charts for yourselves and see how the MACD and RSI can get overextended and still nothing happens for days, even weeks.

Re: WHY 21 MILLION BITCOIN CANNOT SERVE THE WHOLE WORLD
by
Bardman
on 18/08/2019, 17:57:00 UTC
Bitcoin is already divided in to milli-satoshis (msats), which is 0.001 of a satoshi, as the base unit on Lightning Network. For comparison. 1 milli-satoshi is 0.00001 of a US cent.

Anyhow, I personally believe Bitcoin will never be a mainstream payment system, history has certainly shown us that Bitcoin is simply not that good when it's used as daily payment and we have far better options.
That's what Lightning Network should address. Instant and almost fee-less transaction which can be used for transactions which require immediate confirmation, such as the often talked about "buying a coffee with bitcoin". You only need to broadcast to the main chain and wait for confirmations when you close a channel, or if you want the extra security when making or receiving a large payment.

I'm curious as to what "far better options" you think we have.

People have been selling the idea of 'instant transactions' for quite a long time and yet there is no cryptocurrency out there that has instant transactions, bitcoin transactions take minutes, even hours sometimes. Even if you can have instant transactions and without fees, bitcoin would still be garbage as a payment option, why in the world would anyone accept Bitcoin in their business when the price can crash 20% in one day?

by

Nothing weird here, periods of high volatility means more volume and periods of low volatility means low volume, it's quite simple to understand. Bitcoin has been relatively ''stable'' the past few days and weeks really, at least compared to going from $7k to $14k in 16 days.

They are not entirely fake news but yeah I certainly get your point. It seems that most of the top crypto ''news'' sites write the same stories using different words and they definitely clickbait like hell. There was another story recently like 3-4 days ago about Mike Tyson using the blockchain in his new business, Fight for Fame or something like that, well, turns out it was fake and he is not involved at all, he said it himself lol.

Cheesy

Plus everyone knows the real Satoshi Nakamoto is Craig Wright, duh. I think it's quite clear at this point that Satoshi is very likely dead, if he is not, he is also clearly not going to reveal his identity anymore but I still think he is simply dead.

The code actually allows Bitcoin to be divisible further: https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/122/will-we-ever-need-smaller-amounts-of-bitcoin-than-a-satoshi

So even if we somehow need more satoshis, we can do it. Anyhow, I personally believe Bitcoin will never be a mainstream payment system, history has certainly shown us that Bitcoin is simply not that good when it's used as daily payment and we have far better options.

Re: How to Identify Cryptocurrency Scams
by
Bardman
on 28/07/2019, 22:41:33 UTC
If you apply some common sense, almost all scams can be detected easily, nothing is usually free. Yes I know giveaways exist out there but even those are not free, they usually require you to do some small task like retweeting something. Classic scams like: Hey I'll send you 1 BTC but you have to send me 0.01 BTC first, are clearly scams and if you fall for those, I don't know what to tell you.

ICO's on the other hand can be quite tricky. Obvious scammy ICO's exist and are easily detected but they are getting more and more sophisticated. It is really risky to invest in ICO's right now even if you do your research. Some ICO's have scammed in the past even though their team was real so that's not always an accurate way to determine whether the ICO is a scam or not.

Better to have a ''steady'' market than random 10% changes. I personally think Bitcoin is holding really well and this was in fact a really healthy correction after quite an unhealthy move, 4k to 14k in 3 months? Clearly needed a big correction, it is better this way, we were getting close to a similar early 2018 situation.

Re: SwitchDex - decentralized exchange - one time flat fee
by

* SwitchDex charges a .2% taker fee. There are no other platform fees.

* SwitchDex offers users a one time flat fee amount to remove this platform fee forever. From July 1st through July 31st this one time fee is $50. This fee will increase $10 monthly, and will top out at $100 in December 2019.

https://medium.com/@switchag/introducing-switchdex-ag-badc4be0722b

If you guys haven't tried switchdex, please do, it works really well and has a simple UI, the only issue is the lack of liquidity but that can be solved with your help!

A 0.2% taker fee is still a fee, you simply can't discount that and say that there is only a flat fee due to the lack of a maker fee; which is quite common in derivatives trading platforms anyways due to their need for lots of liquidity.

What is your affiliation with the SwitchDex platform anyways? Are you part of their team?

Another thing that I noticed was the fact that the design of their site is eerily similar to ForkDelta's, despite some minor cosmetic changes. I'm yet to be convinced that this offers any significant advantage over counterparts like ForkDelta or idex, both of whom seem to have more liquidity. I think that in order to generate that initial liquidity needed within the exchange to kickstart it, they might need to even consider subsidising maker orders for a while.

Idex for one is going to be using KYC, that's quite a huge difference. It is indeed extremely hard to start a dex due to liquidity issues. Best bet in my opinion is to talk to ICO's and list their tokens first, this will help a lot. Especially bounties, bounty hunters are always looking to sell their coins fast.

Re: [OVER 75% WIN RATE] MORTY BETS - PROFFESIONAL BETTING TIPS
by
Bardman
on 06/07/2019, 13:05:19 UTC
I don't know why OP need to sell tips for win on gambling. I don't know if there is any conformed way to win. If there is, then perhaps people's will be millionaires shortly. And all the shortcut way have a bad action. OP should be a millionaire since you are going to sell win tips. I am not saying you are scammer but its highly suspicious to me. So everyone should be careful about it.

Well, I do know why, even if he really has a winning method, you still can't bet absurd amounts of money, even with a 75% win rate you will not become a billionaire just by betting on sports, this is just another way of getting more money, why wouldn't you do it? I would if I had a method. Of course OP might be a scammer, who knows, can't really say, his evidence is a bit shaky though.

So in the end, this was a scam huh? I see OP hasn't posted anything else, his spreadsheet ''evidence/proof'' was definitely super shady. As I said, you gotta be careful with people giving tips, if they really have a winning strategy they wouldn't give it up that easily, you would have to pay a lot of money, otherwise why would he even sell it for pennies when he can just re-invest his own money into it?

Re: Will Facebook’s Libra Coin be a Game Changer in Crypto Ecosystem
by

on 19/06/2019, 19:34:32 UTC
Facebook has no credibility mate, they are fond of selling out users data to the buyers(either the government or to other individuals for use), the government are just trying to infiltrate into the world of cryptocurrency and they think that, thorough facebook they can hit the whole world

Facebook Libra will be a failure. Learn from former billionaire Anil Ambani. All the hype created by those MBAs and CAs for nonsense. Bitcoin has also run into trouble in many big coutnries.

I doubt it will be a failure considering how many big names they have behind and even if they didn't, it's fricking facebook. Their stocks already reacted really positively to it, 10% gains in 3 days and how are they going to fail anyways? A lot of noobs will certainly use it and buy it even if they don't know anything about cryptos.
