re: reducing their level of addiction, I am interested in knowing if that is possible for true addicts? With many addictions - alcohol for example - most people have no choice except to quit 100% since social drinking isn't a realistic goal. Note: Some "experts" say otherwise, but they are a small minority, and logically it is really similar with gambling(?)

Question: Are there some "non-addicted" players here who have suggestions to help others be more controlled?
Do you want to be free of gambling forever?
I think you are trying to say that we need to be free from "gambling addiction" and not just gambling. Because most people don't want to quit gambling but wants to reduce their level of addiction.

Start TODAY before more months and years pass by.
Well you are right, just as they say " a stich in time saves nine" anyone who wants to be free from gambling addiction will definitely start to practice self control measures as early as possible before it eats deep down.

Some people earn honest money and occasionally gamble for playful fun, while many others face a lifetime of misery by being chained to their addiction. If you ever want to change, the key lies in your mind. Learn a bit about dopamine* addiction, there are some great sources and answers on youtube.

*"Dopamine is a neurotransmitter and hormone produced in the brain that plays a key role in sending messages between nerve cells. It is involved in various functions, including mood regulation, motivation, pleasure, and movement control."

Some people do not know what this is. Are you "getting paid" with a promise of future credits, or literally test tokens on a testnet which are not originally intended to have value?

Re: A sad story of a 72 Y.O Grandma who lost here life savings and inheritance

This story is truly heartbreaking, knowing that a 72-year-old woman lost her entire life savings and inheritance, totaling $224,000, to crypto scammers. They used a deepfake video of Christopher Luxon, the New Zealand Prime Minister, to lure her in. She got interested and responded, which is where things took a dark turn. A scammer, pretending to be Adam Manolas, who claimed to be an expert investment adviser, convinced her to open accounts with Easy Crypto and Binance. She thought her Bitcoin was safe in her Binance wallet, but instead, it was sent to an account controlled by the scammers. Once they emptied her savings, they even took funds that were meant for her grandchildren. In one of their last calls, she overheard him say, "This woman has no money."

It's painful to see how these scammers target older people, especially those who aren't tech-savvy and are more vulnerable to these tricks. I can't even begin to imagine how our granny feels after losing everything she worked for and inherited. Some might find it too much to handle and could even consider taking their own lives because of it. These scammers are truly cruel, and they deserve to rot in hell.

Her message really shows the deep pain she's endured with her experience.

‘Evil will come to you’
In an email this week, Creasy castigated the scammers who stole her life savings, warning that “evil will come to you”.

“You told me you are known as ‘Money Manolas’,” she wrote. “Are you a thief?”

“If you entrusted me with your money I would pay you back when you asked for it.

“I hope your 74-year-old mother is safe from predators like you.”

Creasy told the Herald Luxon’s apparent endorsement was “the fishhook” for her investing. She’d believed her money was “safe and secure”.

It was devastating to learn she’d been tricked by criminals and that her retirement nest egg was gone.

“First of all I felt angry and then I felt foolish, then I felt really ashamed.”

She looks like a nice lady who worked honestly for the money which was not inherited. Who wants to launch a project to help her get her money back!

‘I Think AI Is Like F*****g Bitcoin!’ Del Toro Speaks On Stop Motion Vs CGI

Del Toro was equally blunt about the AI trend "I think that animation needs to be done by hand. [It’s] one of the few disciplines that is in danger by the way AI is being presented. I think AI is like f*****g Bitcoin! It’s not going to be what people think it's going to be. Unfortunately, it's not being put in the hands of the artists but bypassing the artist to be put in the hands of the bean counters, it will likely be misused before it's used correctly, if ever."....

Note: He doesn't seem to be critical of BTC, he is saying it is being "misused" which could be an interesting topic for discussion. Do you think Bitcoin and the ecosystem is being "misused", over-centralized, etc?
