Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action

Only a retard thief would use a cherry picker to get the hard-to-reach fruit (coins in a cold wallet) but not touch the low-lying fruit (~133 BTC worth of bitcoins in a hot wallet)
I think it was smart to not touch the hot wallet (with public address, right?) and only empty the cold(?) wallet of which the address was not known.

Figuring out who owns the btc addresses that received the multiple 1000BTC transactions could lay in the small amounts that are also received on those addresses.

Not really. People send these tiny transactions as a form of cheap advertising. Just scam the blockchain for the 10,000 most "interesting" addresses (most active, highest balance, most famous) and send them some dust from your vanity address.
Agree.

And how about 1KBy6MvcBb2qQRS5fQT92o2c5Dq2W6ygx4, that received 1325BTC on 2014-07-29. Two days later it received 0.00000001BTC from 1NktQfw949Sv7acr3vj1WS98PPPtNBzMRb, which got funded 0.05BTC in transaction https://www.walletexplorer.com/txid/3069a8c913c506e068743c71225ba9554e20883a9ac86b0543d93de195042d50 received from Localbitcoins.com! So who is behind this transaction?

Still, how about the transfer that originated from Localbitcoins.com ?
Someone was at the sending end of that transaction, if he/she can recall who he/she was doing business with, who knows what information that will reveal.

Afaik, localbitcoins transaction are either in person in cash, or with bank transfer.
Does localbitcoins.com maintains a history of all transactions, if possible ?

...
It's called advertising. ;-)
Point is they somehow found this btc address so someone knows where it came from.
Or they simple did a random selection from the blockchain (most likely).

Figuring out who owns the btc addresses that received the multiple 1000BTC transactions could lay in the small amounts that are also received on those addresses.
These small amounts look like advertisement amounts, so somehow someone found these addresses somewhere.
Questions is where were they found...

For example, who owns 1FactomGnNFTsTVx8jiGjcLKDpyL65GDsH - looks like a "manufactured" address ".Factom...". This is one of the addresses that transfers 0.0005BTC.

Re: The official information resource for BitFury Group
by

Miners are no longer simple devices as they used to be. These days, electrical and physical design and construction may take months. Modern miner is a piece of art and a result of hard work of engineering teams. Because of its complexity and high power consumption mining equipment today requires a lot of technical support and oversight. We do not sell our chips to consumers, hence no datamaps, protocols descriptions or sample chips of our 28 nm ASIC will be available.

Is this the best you can do, tell us that we're incapable of designing an electronic device with Bitfury chips ?
I dare you, I know for sure there are multiple designer teams that can design a miner with the new Bitfury chips within a month. That is, with proper documentation and sample chips.

Don't get me wrong, I can understand more or less that Bitfury is not willing to sell their chips, because that will make the piece of the BTC pie that Bitfury will mine smaller, but I am sure Bitfury (and the shareholders) will appreciate the profit coming out of selling chips.

I hope you do realize that designers need the datasheet and sample chips multiple weeks before any bulk purchase of chips can occur.
"Hi Ben, yes we know that. We will soon update the product page on the website with information/new chip specifications, so please stay tuned. Once again, thank you for your inquiry. Best regards, BitFury"
Thanks, I've set up an page change alert on www.bitfury.org/products.html

Will sample chips be available soon ?

Four days old already, how about giving information about the datasheet and the availability of sample chips for designers ?

Hi Ben and thank you for your inquiry. We are in the process of updating product information on our website, so please continue to check our website for information (including specifications) on our 28nm.
Thanks!

I bet this coin will be dirt cheap as soon as it gets listed on exchange.
It's highly likely to be a dedicated scam.
It's listed on Cryptsy: https://www.cryptsy.com/markets/view/ZRC_USD

As far as I understand the OP, each coin will have a value (at the end of this year) of us$1, that can be applied to get a discount of up to 5% on a purchase at participating merchants.

Let's wait and see.

What algorithm is it?
According to their specs, https://d19y4lldx7po3t.cloudfront.net/assets/docs/coinspecs_022615v2.pdf :

1.5 MINING ALGORITHM
The exact hashing algorithm used is a combination of the 5 finalist algorithms that NIST selected as
candidates for SHA3 (BLAKE, Grøstl, JH, Keccak and Skein). The first in the series, Keccak, is executed,
and then the order of the next four is determined based on the result. In addition, there is an opt-in
process of mining with Proof of Knowledge of transaction data that allows miners to gain a 5% increase
in rewards. Read more about this here.

I'm sorry if there are error but I'm not english language native

You asked for assurance that Bitfury would sell their new chip, so I was wondering if you got a positive reply.

Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s

Well that's new! Have you done any tests with lower voltages? That could really help people out if the efficiency can be improved.

I haven't tbh, but when I upped the voltage from 0.81 to 0.85 I noticed a significant drop in the errors count on all 4 machines. Also there are quite a bit options offering different voltages all the way down to 0.5v. The max is 0.9v
Can you explain how you got the screen that allows you to change the voltage please ?

The 800/1000/1100/1200Mhz setting seems to be the speed of the controller, not the hash boards.
I've not seen inside an X3, but the X1 uses a Rockchip RK3186 SoC, and these speeds match.
That's odd, because the hash speed did go down when I switched from 1000Mhz to 800Mhz.

So I'd hope there was some better way to increase efficiency of the hashing chips.
Maybe one can ssh into the machine, but I haven't tried this.
