Tracking amazon prices is trivial.  It has been $449 first party when in stock steadily and unchanging for over the last 6 months, and when not in stock first party, have always had it available for under $460 through a third party stocker over the same period.

Amazon.com $422, with $449 being the 1st party price when in stock.

3/4 though this time, so there's really no reason to throw in a 4th example that happens to be a dishonest one unless you just have a problem making an entire post without some sort of lie in it.

The highest it's been in the last 6 months on  Amazon (as in being sold directly by amazon and not a 3rd party vendor) was $69.99 btw.

If you want to buy/sell directly in BTC, yeah, hype up the reasons for doing that.

They don't change vastly enough for his earlier claim to be true.  He wasn't even quoting the actual amazon price, just one of the third party dealers that go through amazon, and the most expensive of those third party dealers at that.

This looks pretty cut and dry.  He hasn't paid back the coins and has admitted to having no ability to pay back in coins.

This whole situation has convinced me not to consider ever purchasing from bitcoinstore, and to discourage any others I know from purchasing from there either.

Well even if you don't think he's a scammer, there's no "incompetent moron" tag yet so the scammer one will have to do.

Also, on why the interest needs to be paid as well to consider the debt fully paid and not just the principal, beyond the obvious "honor the contract as stated" thing: Time is money, and investments made in one place can't simultaneously be invested in another.  If the money is not paid back, not only is that obviously robbing the person of their initial principal, but it's robbing that person of the gains they could have potentially made by investing the money elsewhere, but instead invested there.  That interest represents the time that the money they invested was tied up in their investments and not available to them, and guaranteeing an interest rate over that period makes you just as responsible for repaying that interest as the principal itself.

This applies to pretty much every other guaranteed interest rate lending nonsense here too.

If people invested money with Patrick, then unless he can return 100% of the principal as well as any interest promised while his business was operational, then he should be labeled either a scammer or incompetent.
