What do you guys think? Is it pure probability catching up with you, or do casinos tweak the games to make sure you lose eventually?

On reputable sites, especially on the ones presented on this forum, there's no such thing as "casinos tweak the games to make sure you lose eventually". When you have a long losing streak - it's just pure probability catching up with you, or as we here call it "bad luck".

Re: What are your thoughts on cockfighting?

If it's banned in your country and people are still doing it secretly, why can't the government get to them and make them serve the punishment that is supposed to be given to them so that others can learn? This activity is not even to watch livestocks kill themselves in battle all for the sake of betting and making money, that's bad.

There's lots of things that are banned but still going and government can't do anything about that. So, it's not that surprising. But cockfighting is disgusting by itself and people engaged in it are usually not that great either. We inherited from the past like many other horrid things and we should get rid of it as soon as possible.

Re: is age a factor?
by

In my opinion, it’s all about education. Poor people are generally less educated than wealthy ones, and as they get older, that can become a dangerous combination. Thanks to the internet, even young people from poor backgrounds can access the knowledge they need to avoid gambling addiction, while older folks often have no idea how to do that.

Don't you think education isn't the only thing that can prevent someone from getting addicted to gambling? If you look around, or simply do a survery or conduct a research, you will probably find more educated people who are addicted to gambling than uneducated ones, and with the advent of online gambling and cryptocurrency gambling platforms, the numbers are even increasing because people are now able to gamble from the comfort of their homes without any hassle because you don't even need to involve a third-party payment processor anymore since you can load up your account with crypto and gamble right away.

So, I think in the modern world, education cannot prevent someone from gambling addiction, but it can even add to it because of the ease the gambling industry has provided them. Someone who is uneducated wouldn't even know how to use an electronic device, or how to use cryptocurrencies, and they can only gamble if they can find a place for it, a physical one.

Yes, of course you are right. Especially if it works for you, anything that prevents someone from getting addicted to gambling is great. It can be your girlfriend or parent or a good friend. No way, I was implying that a poor person can't resist the urge and a rich person can easily do that. If it sounded that way, I'm sorry.

scatter game or this gambling game in the philippines that the government had to intervene in between because it was getting very popular and many citizens are gett addicted

some said that it’s because the philippines is a poor country and that’s why they get addicted easily but is it possible that most gamblers who got addicted are old people past retirement and have nothing else to do anymore?

I mean, of course, sports betting. In casino games based on chance, such as roulette, many more people will not be able to get rich - 99.9% or 99.99% or even 99.999%. ~

I wouldn't be so sure about that percentage. In my opinion, it's more like 55% of gamblers lose more than they win. With those odds, it's still silly to bank on winning, but they're not that dramatic.

Re: Is it wrong to take a temporary break from gambling?
by
Betwrong
on 30/07/2025, 11:51:04 UTC
Recently, I have had a few wins while betting or gambling. It could be said that I gambled for fun, not really expecting to win (not that I expected to lose). However, fortunately, in those few gambling sessions, I always ended up with a win. Now I am thinking that I want to continue gambling whenever I get lucky, because I think that maybe luck has been on my side lately. And maybe some of you have the same thought. So I am wondering if I should try my luck again after a win, or should I still take a break?

This may seem like a simple question, but strangely enough it always bothers my mind every time or rather every day. So I hope to receive opinions or even suggestions from you, especially from people who have experienced the same thing before.

Taking a break from gambling or from whatever you enjoy the most is never wrong. You are getting bored from continuously doing anything, gambling included. Especially taking a break after a win, like you said, is a pretty good idea.

Re: How do you see slots game?
by
Betwrong
on 21/07/2025, 10:05:19 UTC
I recently hit a crazy multiplier x5601 on Sweet Bonanza. Just a small bonus buy and ended up winning $400 after the x1000 bomb dropped and hit. I’ve been enjoying it since then, though I don’t spend a lot of hours playing.

But ever since that win, it kinda feels like I’m slowly giving the money back. Been losing around $10 a day for the past week. I’m still in profit, but honestly, I’m starting to lose the excitement. The game doesn’t feel the same anymore.

If you want to hear my story, I had 1,000x+ on slots twice in recent years and after that nothing like that happened for more then a year already. Am I slowly giving the money back? I wouldn't say so. I often win with 200x+, sometimes more, so, overall my profit isn't negative, but I miss that feeling when you hit 1,000x, that's for sure.

Re: Does your luck shines brighter most with a particular casino?

~ Are there gambling sites where your luck shines much brighter than most? Or it's just coincidence taking it course.

I think, it's not allowed to promote other gambling sites in this thread, so, I'm not going to. But to answer your question, yes, it does. I've been gambling for more than 10 years, and it's different sites in different times, but overall I've noticed that pattern too.
