Re: What Should I do as a newbie?
by
Biastar
on 12/04/2018, 07:35:38 UTC
I was also  a newbie months ago and only managed to get Jr member rank up to now.
My experience in this forum was great and very educational, not to mention one can earn in this platform had you been participating in bounty campaigns. There were also disappointing experiences with projects that are scam, but let be gone, they will not succeed. Cheesy

So far now, all those baffling questions were answered, all thanks to the helpful community of this forum.
They are very welcoming and accommodating

Re: Have you invested any coins of which price goes to zero?
by
Biastar
on 11/04/2018, 03:40:53 UTC
It never happened to me in the past, and I will be very careful that it will not happen in the future.
I carefully chose the projects of which I participated and invested.
But of course there are many coins that are now half the price of what they were before.

I'm using it, I find it very useful and secure in a way. I've been using it for quite a while now and it works fine for me at best.
And what's more, it's user friendly with straightforward features.
Unlike other where there are a lot of going on in the interface and pretty much confusing.

Re: altcoins for 2-3 years holding!
by
Biastar
on 11/04/2018, 03:18:07 UTC
Hello .I do not think if the owner for 2 to 3 years is good, you can buy it at the beginning of the year and sell at the end of the year will earn a bigger profit.

I don't believe holding coins for 2-3 years long will maximize profits, it will exhibit a platonic state at some point and that would be a waste of time IMO.
A year of holding for me is the best way to go. However, going for the big guns like BTC and ETH then maybe yes 3 year might do.

Exactly what this guys have been saying. It is not wise to hold for very long if you are eyeing for bigger profits. A year can be a good barometer for seeing profits at hand.
However, there are inconsistencies about long term holding for even ETH.

Re: do you guys pay Taxes for profit?
by

on 09/04/2018, 11:02:44 UTC
Hi.

i didn't traded so much of my crypto for FIAT so i didn't dealt with that question yet.

however i think it's an issue need to be dealt with.

1. do you use accounting services?
2.if so, do you keep documentation of all traded or bought coins?
3. what do you do in cases of profit from ICO's

WHAT SHOULD I DO??

it depends on which country you live in

for small amounts i dont think it is easy to understand if you did profit or not

but, all of a sudden if you stransfer 1 million usd to your account, for sure they will make you pay the tax if it is not a tax free country

Yep! It most likely this it, it dependent on which you transact from. It may be regulated and taxes will be imposed. More so with countries that have legalized cryptos.
On the other hand, in countries where it is neither legal nor illegal taxes will not be imposed. Unless you transact in a bank where fees are imposed. Though I don't really know if it fall under taxation protocol.

Re: When will the market recover?

The downward trend have been with us for quite a while now, and still, there are no signs that may indicate that prices could go up from here on out.
And nobody really knows when the market will go up again, but those whales out there or any other entities and groups that can influence how the market behaves. Other than that, nobody else.

Re: Bought 100000 coins of Cardano
by
Biastar
on 09/04/2018, 07:48:56 UTC
No argument with that, Cardano is a good coin with god potential. Can't really say high due to absence of real world products to support it.
Also it is recommended to hold only one coin, should something bad happen then you lose everything. That is why even in the wild, diversity is important.
Diversify your assets, and never hold only one coin, unless that one coin is stable.
Too risky brother

Re: Do you think the markets will collapse
by
Biastar
on 09/04/2018, 07:30:12 UTC
Collapse definition: Market Cap less than 150 Billion

Yes or No

I say YES

I didn’t want to say yes but there is not much light in the tunnel.

Collapse?! what do you mean collapse, the whole market? no it will not!
That is far cry from what we have now, even farther cry than having you butt crack sewed! Grin
Anyway on a serious note, for a few ICOs and coins that have no backbone that supports it in the form of products with real world application, then what awaits their market is collapse.
But this is not true for the whole crypto bro.

Re: Bounty Rewards: Sell immediately or HODL?
by

on 07/04/2018, 07:01:38 UTC
If it's a crappy coin from a project with no concrete workplan and good roadmap, then I suggest you just sell the coin as soon as it hits the market.
But for those coins earned form good projects from excellent companies, I suggest you HODL.
It will have good to excellent prospects for you

Not sure what you mean with anger stage, but maybe it is your response when you lose a lot of your investments.  Grin
There really is no telling how the market behaves, but generally it is very erratic and oscillating, what's really bad is when it is a constant downward trend.
But don't worry, as soon as it stops digging, who knows it may start climbing

Re: Buy the Dip - again...
by
Biastar
on 05/04/2018, 08:31:57 UTC
All the established crypto channels/advisers keep telling everyone to buy the dip and sell the highs. What they don't (and can't!) tell you is where those points are. I have bought the dip continuously for the last two months, and am slowly running out of money. If the dip doesn't stop dipping, I'm gonna run out of money soon. All fun and games, until the bank takes my house.

There really is no telling when those points are in the market. If someone knows that, then he would have been one of the richest.
But as of now, what we have are educated guesses. We don't even know who exactly manipulates the market.
So investing really is a very risky business.
All we can do is hope that it stops digging and start climbing.

If you sell your coins now, would you gain anything with reference on how much you bought them? If not, then you are only sealing your fate of loss.
If that is the case, I suggest you hold your coins and wait for it to bounce back. Otherwise, your loss is final.

Re: Does Bitcoin price affect ICOs
by
Biastar
on 03/04/2018, 07:31:46 UTC
it can affect their prices in two different ways:

1. everyone knows that whenever bitcoin is falling everything else falls harder. so ICO tokens are no exceptions. they can fall hard because of it and never recover.

2. which is the most important one in my opinion is the fact that when bitcoin is rising like last year there are a lot of newbies coming in with a lot of dreams of getting rich overnight while having 0 understanding of the market. and when price drops like these days the same newbies are running away as fast as possible.
these newbies are the main bulk of investors in ICOs and when there are more of them around ICOs can have better days than when there is less of them around and they are running away.

Well, that is a bit harsh on the newcomers. I would like to make it that not all newcomers behave the same way as expressed above, we don't have the actual numbers that support it, like research papers perhaps? Though there is truth in it, but I do not recommend blaming newcomers for it.
Let us also note that there are certain circumstances that when bitcoin price fluctuates, major investors (not necessarily newcomers) move their money from coin to coin thus affecting market price of certain coins or alts in general.

Re: Time to Buy?
by
Biastar
on 03/04/2018, 07:05:20 UTC
The easiest and most profitable way to earn on crypto-currencies is to buy and store them as long-term investments. Today this type of investment provides an astounding level of income that can not be compared with any other.

I agree with most part of your comment, especially with buying at dip and store coins long term then sell on highs! But on the other hand, I do not agree with being the most promising income generation in comparison to many others. There are many others of which you can gain money way more than in cryptos, let's face it, that is truth.

Re: Is it safe to participate in ICO's?
by
Biastar
on 02/04/2018, 23:07:59 UTC
It is not safe, totally not. If you just follow ICO blindly, not reading anything like whitepaper, then you are in close proximity with scam.
On anther note, to evade such unfortunate event, read their whitepaper. But do be careful still, many scam projects have laid out quite the impressive and convincing whitepaper. Having said that, not all scam are prepared with crappy proposals.
On another note, it is best to follow same dev team that you have worked and trusted before. In this manner you can really say that it is safe to participate.

Re: Do Altcoins really have a future?
by

Similar questions have already been raised, when bitcoin was just starting up,same question was raised for it. But look at where bitcoin is now?
Anyway, all altcoins do havea future, but the big question is, will it be similar with bitcoin?
One thing is clear, if an at doesn't have any real world application, then it's future can be dire.

Re: Are Airdrops Profitable?
by
Biastar
on 29/03/2018, 02:40:55 UTC
Hi everyone. I've tried participating in a couple of airdrops but haven't gotten any coins yet. For those of you who have, how do you go about making anything out of airdrops? Is it worthwhile or just the usual pump and dump?

Yes airdrops can be profitable. I seldom participate in airdrop because I am much too careful not to join in a scam.
So I advise anyone to be vigilant in joining.
Going back, yes it is profitable but somehow minimal in comparison to bounty campaigns. However, time spent in airdrop is significantly low.

Re: Send Bitcoin cash w/out Internet-how badly would want it?
by
Biastar
on 29/03/2018, 02:06:02 UTC
Pretty god damn bad, this breaks down the barrier to entry. I freaking love when I hear news like this because it means we are a giant step forward towards mass adoption. Lets be honest, not every Tom, Dick, and Harry is going to add a QT wallet to their computer nor would they be well versed in using it. That being said, I have always been adamant about crypto only gaining full adoption when everybody can use Bitcoin and basically in no way shape or form could they screw it up. Although, pretty lame this is for Bcash. It was all good until then, now I don't know if many people will actually use it Lips sealed.

However lame it Bcash is, if it is, the technology itself a big leap towards finding alternatives should internet protocol fail in the process.
this will pave the way for answering a few shortcomings of sending and receiving payment system whenever internet fails.
Also this will make cryptocurrency available in areas where again it is impossible to connect to the system of cryptos, we only SMS signal.
Let us just see how this will work out in the tested areas of applications, but needless to say, I believe this will be great in third world countries where internet is quite lousy weak!

Re: Invest now or wait?
by
Biastar
on 28/03/2018, 14:29:39 UTC

I missed the dip the other day and am wondering if I should hold out for another dip or if the current prices are still decent. Mainly looking at litecoin and etherum. I also need coins regardless so I can exchange for other altcoins.

There really is no perfect time to invest in anything, however, if you have the perfect resources to go and invest then that may be your cue to do so.
There are a lot of lucky ones that have experienced both the dip and the peak.
During dip they buy, and hold coins till it peaks. In this manner many have profited a lot.

Having said that, if you have extra money then go and invest, if you have none then please don't sell you house to invest.
