Was used a while back till I guess the guy who ran it's server got hacked.
Bitcoin poker is almost like a ghost town over at SealsWithClubs...

Very true, wonder why. Maybe because the site and the poker client are garbage...

I am sure all miners will welcome that move. I wish pool operators were more transparent about transaction fees...

I am using a gigabit network to access the shared drive.......that should suffice, no?

That's plenty. You can always use electrum if you don't want the full client.

Awesome, I understand now regarding transaction fees now.

To be specific whether miners get BOTH (12.5btc) reward AND fees depends on the pool, it is rare.

I set up a Bitcoind Server 2 weeks ago and switched to SSL connection, but I didn't need any configuration of client.

You should, the instructions above mention copying the cert so it is validated with the one on YOUR server.

Isn't this the kind of thing namecoin should work well for?

-MarkM-

Given that the blockchain is compatible with btc it is not a question which one could but which one should. Great idea if you ask me but I can see a lot of hate coming from purists vetoing use of btc blockchain for storage - makes sense. With that in mind it'd be really cool to see someone try this with namecoin chain or testnet.

Really? Judging by bitcoincharts.com mtgoxUSD 30d volume of 844k to EUR's 96k, I would have guessed it was US based.
Really? Judging by Google Maps Tokyo's coordinates are 35° 41′22.22″N 139°41′30.12″E, I would have guessed it was Japan based.
Ummm....isn't bitcoin decentralized? I VAGUELY recall seeing it somewhere hmmmmmmmmm......

If I have a business idea and need a bank account, but my idea encroaches into the other bitcoin services you provide will you still be happy for me to use your banking services?
Could mt.gox open an account with you for banking services if they felt uncomfortable with their current banking arrangements?
mtgox could open an account with us, but not to store their user's funds. to store their own funds would be OK.

This is a good point, was wondering about that. You should be offering bitcoin-business bank accounts!
That is a whole new can of worms though.

You mean I can actually buy Bitcoins now without it being a complete bitch to do?

No, I presume they will only sell bitcoins to customers that have gone through all the identity checks. This is a way to get easily get rid of all your bitcoins in your favourite shop, again once you have gone through all the identity checks.  Please correct me if I am wrong.

YES. You can, no need for crazy fees to Alternative Payment Processors. If you are concerned with loosing the increased level of anonymity by providing an ID just transfer your coins to a new address and use it for shopping.

Well, New zeland is also not subjected to US regulations, still US shut down perfectly legal service operating there.

Megaupload got shutdown because they were operating (servers) in the US.
Not much in common with this venture anyway.

Also, Megaupload was in violation of existing US law. Until btc has a legal status (is declared legal or illegal)
there is VERY little leverage US has to shut down this business in France.

You confuse Paysius with Paymium.
Makes total sense.

No, we don't. We need other ppl use Bitcoin as a medium of exchange for goods, not for other currencies.
Stay positive dude. This is is an important step forward for widespread adoption of bitcoin.

I give it two months before there are real problems between Paysius and their fiat banking partners.  It won't be their fault, of course, but this will not last.

I feel the same, it wont last.
They will have to make a damn good job to proove us wrong.

Can someone elaborate / link on what place in the picture Paysius has in this banking venture? How are they related?

For example, i would expect ALOT of fraud going on from your 'customers' once you do IBAN accounts with just ID

These guys are running a BANK. I am sure they can figure it out.
To be precise we partnered with a licensed PSP in such a way that we are allowed to do most of what banks do.

The whole fact that such negotiations are underway is mind blowing step forward for the currency, no need to play it down!
Thank you for the clarification though, not too familiar with French banking regulation:)

So, did you get Selena Gomez's record label permission to sell that?
I'm all in favour of permissive copyright laws, but for private use. When you start selling shit that ain't yours it's another ball game...

but she doesn't accept bitcons, now does she?
