escrow/courier/reshipping services are possible.  I'm not currently familiar with any though.  Are there some generally trusted services that get used here?

Thanks for the better image.  I wasn't really sure how to do that.

Generally speaking, minerjones (aka MJ) is the most used escrow as you can see from his trust review. There are others that are highly trusted but none more so than MJ.  Smiley

I just wanted to chime in real quick. I recently used minerjones' courier service and would highly recommend it for anyone who is selling/buying high priced coins.  ;)For me, it was all about peace of mind. Its just not worth taking the risk of having the package lost, delayed, seized etc in the mail imo.
 Gl with your sale  Smiley

We are getting close to the bottom imo. If price breaks below $6k for an extended period, the overall uptrend of the last 10 years will be broken.
This was from a tweet from Tuur on twitter. Now is the time to start scaling in and buying.

Re: Bull or Bear season for crypto?
by

on 29/09/2019, 11:37:15 UTC
Meaning we could potentially decline to the $5,000s and still comfortably be a in a bull market.
It's all relative at the end of the day. If we fall to $5k then it's possible that what we have seen this year was a bull run within a multi year bear market. I would consider a revisit of $5k to be super bearish.

In that case I wouldn't even rule out a retest of the 2018 low of $3.1k. We have gone up too hard without building any support so don't be surprised if we go back down in a similar fashion.... a reverse bull run that is.

When the price goes down even those who bought higher will have a breaking point and dump their coins out of frustration.

i agree with you in regards to being a bull within a bear, but I disagree about support. At this point in time if bitcoin hasnt built solid as a rock support in the $4k-$6k area, there is never going to be any support at any price.

november 20, 2017 price of bitcoin was $8150. Price today is $8150. And it is no more stable now then it was then. So if you held through the bull and the bear you actually lost money lol. bitcoin is getting to be a tough sell. I think by this time next year or early 2021 we are over $20k and the only reason I think this is that it has to or it never will.

A burst bubble or a sinking ship don't care if you are brave or fearful.
Everyone dies.  Tongue

Even a Honey Badger can drown.  Cool

Why so salty bro? You seem to be implying that bitcoin is dying because the price is going down. Its called volitility and you should know if you were in during the 2017 bullrun. The price retraced from $5k to $3500 early that year. Same as now. $10k to $8k. Rest assured btc is not dying. Bears got slaughtered this year from $3500 to $14k. If they dont win sometime they wont play. Relax

Re: BAKKT launching tomorrow but BTC price falls?
by
Bitcoinwaist
on 22/09/2019, 15:24:32 UTC
Why isn’t the official launch of BAKkT driving btc prices up but instead it’s going the opposite way?

Are investors afraid of a massive dump coming up or what are the possible reasons there isn’t any traction for BTC price ?

imo, when you buy bitcoin, whales and traders are taking the other side of your bet and trading against you. this prevents any type of price manipulation from someone with deep pockets, so they can't "buy" the market. Example If some entity buys 10000 btc, whales and traders are not going to let them come in buy, pump the price because of the thin books, drive the price up and let them take profits. whales will sell and  drive the price down and make the buyer sweat it out and make them work for their profits(baghold). same goes for selling, you sell 10000 btc the price is going to most likely go up and not let you buy back at a lower price to immediately wash rinse repeat. so I look at bakkt in this way, if the price dumps tomorrow, this means people are buying, but the traders are trading against the new money. if price goes up that means there are people selling the news and whales are buying.

When/if the premiums come back, people will probably try to sell first before peeling imo. There are nice brass cas coins on here listed for 1.2BTC and not selling, why would anyone want to sell for less than that? The inherent risks/hassles are not worth the reward. The pool of buyers around here has pretty much dried up and until there is some new blood with deep pockets I dont see much changing in the short term. Maybe some sort of advertising( ex. having a physical presence/table at major coin shows) could draw in new people?

Re: Why Bitcoin will Hit $100,000 in or Before 2022
by
Bitcoinwaist

Consider where we were 2 years after the 2013 top, in early December 2015. The market was trading around $400 (and $200 just a few months prior to that). That's considerably less than half of its 2013 value. Yet the market rose 50x from there through 2017.

Not possible now? Smiley
Anything is possible. Things are progressing too slow. Is it a sov is it going to be spent at Starbucks etc. As a pure speculation play i cant see it happening imo.

We went from $3,000 to $14,000 in 6 months. Not fast enough for you?! Tongue

I just like to keep betting on trends. "The trend is your friend until it ends" as they say. It's the people who keep saying "this time will be different" that keep getting bit when Bitcoin goes vertical in their face.

I hear ya. I am with you on the trend. (Always makes ath) im not betting against that.

Pricewise 4k to 13k is nice but there are plenty of stocks that probably did the same. (Going from $4 to $13 for example) its a very good return, but we gave back almost 30%.

I just wpuld have thought things would have progressed faster in regards to adoption. Im sure if you go back and look at all the ideas and problems from 2014 they are the same things we have today and are continuing to push into the future. Pure speculation isnt going to push price to $100k or $500k without many other things in place. Just my 2c

Ps to show how slow growth is look at 2017 price was at $20k, here we are almost 2yrs later worth of buying and adoption and bitcoin being spread out to even more people worldwide and the price is still half of what it was? Is this progress? That isnt progress. Its regression.

Re: Bitcoin resume its' Bulish momentum after Bakkt Announcement!
by
Bitcoinwaist
on 21/08/2019, 13:51:00 UTC
I wouldnt buy anymore bitcoin until price is past $13500 unless you feel like tying up your $$ for awhile.
In other words, you prefer buying at +$13.5k levels than buying at $10k flat and have a 35% profit when we finally surpass the previous resistance? That sounds like you're a fomo buyer.

There is no guarantee that we'll keep going up from there, so if you buy at $13.5k you might still end up holding a bag of expensive coins. You're much better off slowly dollar cost averaging at current levels.

Bakkt could be a massive short opportunity because everyone is thinking moon. Price could go much lower to shake out new money entering for the bakkt pump that may never happen. Buying now, all you are doing is feeding the bottomless bitcoin blackhole. Look today almost down 10% on nothing no news ffs.
I honestly have seen more skepticism when it comes to Bakkt than positive stories. Not many believe it will have much of an impact nor do they care about selling this news, which won't yield you much to begin with.

We're just bouncing up and down within a large descending triangle. Pretty normal market activity in times where the bears are gaining more strength week by week. Not related to Bakkt.

Yes i myself would rather forego 35% than tie more money up. Because it can go down another 35%.
