If you are talking about the legal Terms and Conditions, we aren't actually changing anything and there (see https://www.bitquence.com/bqx-creation-terms/ para 13). The creation period can last up to 30 days, but we aren't extending it by the full amount since we believe that would be unfair to participants. Furthermore, we believe it is in the best interests of everyone involved that the project is adequately capitalized to tackle many of the legal challenges we will be facing since we are much more cautious than many other token sales have been.

We would be skeptical of those token sales (especially of Iconomi which is offering something that is very easily argued to be a security) offering to U.S. investors. We did a lot of legal due diligence and are proceeding extremely cautiously since the last thing we want to happen is lose value because of legal problems that didn't confront early on. We are building legal positions that will allow us to expand into the U.S. market at the right time and grow long term.

If you are talking about token integration for the universal wallet, that will work sort of like electrum wallets (where the blockchain is hosted on a server and clients scan it) and we won't need to create anything new for that.

15% of the supply is allocated towards operating expenses (paying employees, funding company as BQX is adopted) and the 40% is for the liquidity network and will allow the features we have been promising such as automatic gas conversion and liquidity across tokens. I think you're right in comparing that to a bank reserve except without any leverage. Banks use the reserve to generate leverage and create a "money multiplier" effect so not all the assets are backed, but in the liquidity network all assets are backed by underlying tokens.

The number of tokens issued during the crowdsale represent 30% of the max supply and roughly 50% of the max supply will be the circulating supply for the first few months of BQX. In this way we are letting the community decide the valuation of this project.

In the scenario where 5000 ETH is committed, the maximum supply will be approximately 83.3 Million BQX and approximately half of that will be spendable at the close of the crowdsale.

The platform shown in the video is an internal alpha that we are developing. How do you know a bank won't be hacked/robbed? The answer is you don't know for sure, but it is far less likely than you getting hacked/robbed which is why you trust your funds in a third party. We will be taking extreme precautions to ensure security and a vast majority of the funds we store will be in cold storage syncing at random intervals with hot storage.

Transaction fees would be very low - comparable to mining fees and would be paid in BQX, but with the automatic gas conversion feature, it can be paid in any liquid cryptocurrency. Sending BQX using the Bitquence wallet will always be free.

Management will hold their tokens for a minimum of 3 months and many of them have vesting schedules lasting 3 years.

Crowdsale payment will be entirely in ETH. Fee for usage of the Bitquence technology will be in BQX. Automatic gas conversion makes it possible to use the BQX platform with any cryptocurrency and generates additional liquidity for the BQX token.

Hello Everyone:

This is to let the Bitquence and crypto community know that Bitquence will not be offering our token for sale in the United States. The U.S. regulatory environment regarding token sales is still evolving, and we have made a business decision to avoid this market to keep things simpler.

This pre-sale enables the Bitquence community to pre-purchase application tokens for the Bitquence software – much like pre-purchasing a software license.  The Bitquence token will act as “gas” for the Bitquence platform, basically paying for storage and transaction fees.  This is like an advanced software payment, like pre-paying for a year of Salesforce, except on a very thin-sliced basis.

Additionally, we will not be launching the Bitquence service in the U.S. until we are 100% certain that we can comply with all local applicable laws and regulations, so the tokens will not be usable for U.S. citizens until the software is available in the U.S., meaning reasonably compliant.

So if you are a U.S. Citizen – well, sorry!  But we just can’t sell tokens to you at this time.

Steps we are taking to ensure we do not offer our tokens to U.S. Citizens:

We are taking steps to ensure any offering pages will not be available to any U.S. IP address.  Please do not try and circumvent this in any way.
All Bitquence token participants must provide information that includes their country of residence.  Anyone with a U.S. address will not be permitted to participate.
You must certify and represent to us during the purchase process itself that you are not a U.S. Citizen. If you do not represent during the process that you are a U.S. resident we will not accept the transaction.
If we discover that any token purchases have been made from a U.S. Citizen, we will consider the ERC20 smart contract null and void and use our best efforts to return the funds.
Please do not try and “game” the system or fraudulently and try to purchase Bitquence tokens if you are a U.S. Citizen – you will just be causing problems for us, and maybe for yourself.

Will Bitquence ever be available in the United States?

We definitely hope so!  We know there is tremendous interest and desire to purchase cryptocurrencies here.  However, we will not be launching the Bitquence service in the U.S. until we are 100% certain that we can comply with all local applicable laws and regulations. This is beneficial to everyone since Bitquence is taking steps to minimize legal risk to the company. We will be developing the product with top-tier U.S. legal counsel to ensure that every aspect of the platform complies with all laws and regulations so that we can bring the ideal experience to you.

The U.S. has made some great strides towards clarifying their legal stance towards cryptocurrency services, and there are some interesting situations now with Coinbase and the U.S. Government among others.  Once there is additional clarity, we plan to look at launching Bitquence in the U.S.  Until that time, we will choose carefully which countries we will launch Bitquence in.  Please keep this in mind when deciding if purchasing Bitquence tokens is right for you.
