Re: What is the cause of the market downturn?
by
BlueYozakuraBTC
on 31/03/2018, 07:30:06 UTC
Downturn?

It's a combination of factors.

1) Crypto Scams. Someone buys a coin that is essentially an elaborate scam, gets ripped off and tells someone. That news spreads. Then another victim and another victim and that puts a bad taste in one too many mouths.
2) Media hype and media scares.
3) Exchanges that are making money off investors by slowing down transfers, adding fees and pretty much screwing around for the highest possible payout. This can also be holding funds, placing extreme holds on deposits so that the depositor misses out on a price value etc. Other times it's the trading price of a coin 5-10X the actual legitimate price on other exchanges also blocking out deposits of that particular coin to keep others from benefiting off of this "in house" price manipulation.
4) Massive sell offs back to fiat
5) Too many coins coming out at the same time meaning the funds between coins are being spread too thin. Too many people have diversified their coin collections into the hundreds of coins which has caused some noticeable drops on the main coin's value. The reason that's also happening is that coins that typically are traded against LTC and maybe Doge markets are now being placed in the BTC markets. So people are trading more BTC or ETH for these alt coins yet are essentially cause the value of both BTC/ETH and the alt coin to fall. it's a vicious cycle. Example: Ethereum based coins. You'll notice strong sways in pricing over the last month as more and more eth based coins hit the market. People sell their ETH to get a particular coin ultimately dropping the price of ETH, panic and sell back at a loss on both ends.
6) ICO fraud and scams being exposed.
7) Airdrop scams

Wouldn't it be great if all three binaries of the Compound Coin wallet (compoundd (daemon), compound-qt, and compound-cli, were available for Raspberry Pi?
If someone can do it; there's a Stratis Raspberry Pi guide floating around. The guide uses a very lightweight Raspbian Jessie Lite image for the SD card, so no overheating or damage will occur to the device.

https://olcko.gitbooks.io/staking-stratis-on-a-raspberry-pi/

Compound Coin offers 500% interest on your investment.

Nope the 500% ENDED SEVERAL MONTHS AGO.

Rewards
POW
Block 0-1000 = 1 COMP
Block 1000-50000 = 100 COMP
POS
Block 0-1000 = 10% APR Due to wallet error, no reward here, think about it is grace period time until everyone get their coin swapped, so becoming more fair for everyone Wink
Block 1000-50000 = 250% APR
Block 50000-100000 = 500% APR
Block 100000-500000 = 250% APR
Then percentage will halving every 500000 blocks until from block 2500000 = 7.8% APR
Block time is 2 minutes, so 1000 block is about 1,389 days.

Current Block is 129671 so it's at 250% APR right now.

I have some coins in my wallet, it is still possible to swap?
I don't think it's possible as of now. Considering that dev regularly shows up and latest posts were concerning CoinsMarkets scamming everyone, it would be safe to assume he had all his coins there and now have absolutely no incentive to do anything with this coin. Am I right dev? If so, do not be discouraged, a lot of us never hold coins on the exchanges, we can donate you a hefty amount if you continue working on this one...

Supposedly Coinsmarkets has released this coin starting today with it's current update on the website that states:

'Sucr , Muncoin , Ember ,.Tagit ,Flappycoin, Modjo , Interzone and Philscurrency are enabled for withdraw , More coins will follow ."

How long does it take to withdraw from cryptopia? I bought some but it still says "pending".
My withdraw after 14 days is in processing and it is not clear when done !

Received them today so that took about 12 hours or so. I bought alot more this time so I'm hoping maybe another 12?

I'm just surprised that it's taking so long. This is madness really.

As far as staking goes how long does it take for coins to mature?

Nah it feel "off" as it seems to require to log into and sign up to either mist or another dapp. I've seen several of these types of "no one has every heard of this coin" situation before as it seems like a test for stealing eth.

It could be totally legitimate but airdrops are usually pretty simple and this seems like it's MICRO ETH GAS STEALING.

This is maybe the 15th one I came across in the last 30 days. A new coin pops up requires some bizarre gas limit to be set and sends you a bunch of coins that you'll never hear of hitting an exchange EVER.

I'll pass.

THIS PROJECT IS 100% SCAM!!! I JUST EMAILED TO 1XBET AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT "FIRE LOTTO" IS. THIS THREAD IS ACTIVELY BUMPED BY NOOBS AND JR.MEMBERS ON DAILY BASIS. ALL OF THEM MUST BE BANNED FOR SHILLING AND SHITPOSTING. I HAVE THE REASONS TO BELIEVE THAT "FIRE LOTTO" IS A SCAM ORCHESTRATED BY RUSSIAN CRIMINALS! STAY AWAY!!!

Dude, what is your problem? I had a quick look at your profile posts and all you do is accusing people of being scammers. Don't you have anything better to do? Besides, the team already have a working platform, so I see no reason (despite my initial skepticism) for them to just bail.

EDIT: Also, I don't know where you've been emailing to, but your accusations are completely false.

1XBET has already implemented FireLotto onto their website: https://1xbet.cm/en/blockchainlottery

When I got to the website I get

Ohh and here's the details they kept sending in the email.

EtherBTC.io -- ZYS

Henderson NV 89012
USA

If you look up this address it's this:

Basically it's a virtual office that's just a monthly subscription service.

Re: EtherBTC Airdrop sends weird link! Scam or not?!
by

on 15/02/2018, 05:44:03 UTC
Just received this email today and the instructions made me say " Wait what?" Lmao I'm not doing that! I just flagged it as spam + unsubscribe. SCAM.

Airdrops aren't that complicated and if you have to pay for them then they aren't airdrops lol. Also if you have to unlock your wallet? 100% SCAM.

I felt something was fishy but I did like the concept of combining BTC with ETH so I thought what a unique idea!

It appears this was a scam all along.

There have been several airdrop scams out there. One was a game coin and it wanted you to use a mist or mew wallet. So I received the airdrop ( on their site) but it wouldn't let me withdraw the coins. So I figured I had to play first. I played a few games and then won their minimum to withdraw. When I hit "submit" it gave me an error that stated something about "request to send eth" failed which was odd since I wasn't trying to send them any ether. lol. So yeah another day another scam.

Can anyone explain how this coin is a scam? It's called fuckin moby Dick he bites chunks out at a time. That is why it pumped.

It's being called a "scam" because 10 million of the coins were premined already and there's only 16.6 million coins as total supply.

That's right about a 70% PREMINE.

What makes this issue of huge premines look obvious? Look at the coin's price:

A coin with this low supply wouldn't go from .42 to .03 even with BTC cutting in half. Usually a coin with this low supply would actually be in the $4-$23 range by now.

The only reason it dropped ridiculously low is because they dumped their huge premine. Now it's sitting around .03 and I suppose "hype" without research will get more people to buy. Hell I almost bought some of this coin but didn't understand why it was so cheap.

Someone tried to promote this coin to me in a chat and I thought what? 16 million supply? Why is it .03? That's bizarre.

After seeing this thread it all makes sense.

Re: Do girls use Bitcoin on webcam sites ?
by
BlueYozakuraBTC
on 06/02/2018, 03:22:30 UTC
Cam girls thrive off Credit Cards.

Why?

Because dumb ass guys have a lot easier time spending money they haven't earned yet on cam sluts.

Bitcoin is money you've actually have.

Bitcoin will never be big in the web cam industry and that is the heart of porn atm.

You might be able to buy tokens with BTC one day, but it won't really matter because it will be through something like BitPay.  Yet another "Visa of Bitcoin" (maybe even more dominate over the industry and centralized than even visa.)

Actually that's a bit incorrect. Cam sites are typically owned by men and their payment processors are the ones that accept the credit cards. Problem is that there are men that aren't on cam sites to just pay for a show and go about their day. Some get angry when their push for personal details isn't given or when they demand to meet the model in person isn't possible and end up trying to reverse the monies they spent for a show they received in full aka chargebacks. Chargebacks are the #1 issue on any cam site platform which is why btc is actually a great tool because the person pays and the show is given where he can't just reverse the funds because she wouldnn't marry him, or meet him for in person sex or some other odd request like her personal phone number etc. So all in all it keeps people on the level. There are even some men that will claim fraud stating someone stole their credit card when they were in fact the users of the purchase. So again maybe not bitcoin because of it's fees but another crypto currency may be even easier.

Re: Have you invested to certain altcoins and lost all your money? Read everything!
by

Yes in the early years of ICOs I got ripped off when the company decided after they got user's funds to change the amount of coins you received after the fact. I remember I was livid and then when the coins hit the exchange they also decided to list the coin cheaper than the starting point of what they were supposedly making investors pay per coin. It was an absolute nightmare. I never hated ICOs more and after that. Once my country became blocked I wasn't allowed to join even if I wanted to.

Funny that my country is blocked from most ICOs even the ones started in my own country, I find that about 85% of the coins end up cheaper once they hit the exchange anyways usually dumped by the earliest of investors.

Other issues tend to be that the exchange the ICOs stated they would be listed on change mid campaign which usually means only a small portion of investors will be able to trade that particular coin on that particular exchange. They either have to wait until it gets listed elsewhere which could take months or years leaving them trapped with a coin that may never have it's original value when they bought in.

The only ICO that I would truly recommend as in personally to friends would be one with a low coin supply, visible team, visible roadmap and something that would really take off because of it's user case model.

Keep in mind when most companies or groups do ICOs they're asking for you the person to give their coin value. The value is given based on how much money is GIVEN TO THEM. Once that happens then it's pretty much crossing your fingers and hope they live up to their end in making sure that this value holds or rises. That's really all that's to it. The other element is value based on the members that bought the majority of coins. It's the same with bitcoin. If there are massive sell off from the people that have the most of it then the coin will drop in value and fast.

So if you ever see a coin's pricing tanking in value it's usually because the person that owned the most coin decided to dump it on the exchange. If you see a coin rising in price it's because the largest investors are holding the line and only allowing a few small low buy in's but closing that gap up right away. People eventually get it and will buy in before the price climbs way out of their reach.

You can pretty much read telegram chats where people are instructing others to dump their coins so that they can buy in cheaper but if they do that's usually what destroy's the coins value for days. If they don't and just hodl then people are either going to get on the train and ride it up or not get in at all.

I've watched two coins that rose drastically within hours. Sure they had their initial dump on the exchange but it shot up in price mainly because people jumped to buy in and jumped over each other just to get their hands on these coins.

Keep in mind that the companies already made their monies on the btc/eth/ltc that investors gave them from the start of the ICO so it doesn't really hurt them too much if you dump. You're the one loosing money not them.

Re: I'm in love with someone else's girlfriend

A friend of mine needs help. Read his story below and drop your suggestion(s).

"I met this babe last year August, been seeing her for a few years tho but never spoke... We share same passion so when we found out, we hooked up real big... I immediately fell for her, later discovered she was dating someone I knew quite well so I tried not pushing my luck so I don't look stupid... I think that failed woefully cause I later told her and she took no offense tho.

The issue z that I'm beginning to love her more with the passing of each day, and it scares me a lot because I've stopped having interest in any other girl no matter the inner or physical beauty they carry... Like, I love this girl to the sun!!!

I'm getting really frustrated.""

He doesn't love her. He wanted her for sex and it's only an issue now because he's not the only one "tapping that a**". So his EGO can't handle it because he's comparing himself to this "friend" which he probably secretly despises. Realistically he probably knew this friend was dating this woman and to deal with his low self esteem he wanted to see if he could "pull this woman" from this friend to feel superior to him. It didn't work because she didn't stop seeing the guy.

The whole "I'm getting really frustrated" is only because he wanted to use this woman as a pawn and it's not working.

He needs to leave all women alone and seek some self help therapy or find a positive outlet to boost his self esteem.

I'm not buying the "I didn't know" when he said "been seeing her for a few years tho but never spoke" riiiiiiighhht. Like you're friends with a guy but don't know that he's been seeing this woman for years?? He has never shown you pictures of her yet you've been playing stalker for YEARS trying to find a way in? NOT BUYING IT.

If this guy could lie to someone he considers a friend and lie to this woman he's sleeping with then it's even more likely he'd have no problem lying to others with ease.

Honestly I think he's trash and OP you'd do best to drop him before he tries to screw your dog. I'll change my view after he gets therapy.

I agree to remove the ICOs scam that pops everywhere on this platform. On the other side, I do not agree to make a systematic decision to penalize the legit businesses like Coinbase on the crypto space.

I agree with the ICOs scams popping up here. I feel since KYC is required here then it should be KYICODT ( Know your ICO Dev Team) . I think people need to be wary about putting their money behind a project where the company will not even show their face. If they're not going to put their face, name and reputation on the line then people shouldn't put their money on the line either.
