Re: New to Crypto, Any Advice?

Hello, Im new to the Crypto world and wanted to hear some advice from the pro's on where to start. i havnt purchased any coins yet, but i have been using coinpot and various faucets. I was wondering if i should keep going with this or is it a waste of my time. Also they say theres no fee for converting coins, but i dont get the same conversion rate as i do on the coinmarketcap calculator. Basically id like to hear from the professionals maybe a strategy for really small trades, or that this is a waste of time and buy some coins with my hard earned money and go from there lol. and if thats the case, where to go. im in Canada by the way, if that helps.

Thanks for any help you can offer me. I hope to get more active in the forums and meet great/smart people along the way Smiley

Hey there ! I think its great that  you started in crypto. but personally i would suggest you read about the coins that interest you and if you believe in them invest but dont trade as its very risky and volatile. Just hold on to them and wait for the long term just like the bitcoin ! Alot of people who were trading it back then regret when the price went sky rocket ! just buy what you believe in and hold for long term Smiley

Re: Crypto ATM - Would you use them?

Lately, I have been seeing many crypto ATM that converts cash into crypto. I am having a tough time understanding the logic behind such machines. I mean, why wouldn't I just go to an exchange and buy crypto? I see no added benefit other than the rather high fees being charged.

Would like to know if any of you have used such an ATM? If so, why?

If you have never used such an ATM, under what circumstances would you consider using it?

Hello !

Yes ive used it personally ! and yes the transactions fees were pretty high , but i would say just the whole experience of buying through an ATM was pretty cool ! And another reason people would use it would be maybe there stuck and need to get a BTC asap at that moment and cannot wait to go log on an exchange . I would say the speed and the convenience maybe would be the purpose of the ATM.

Thanks ! Smiley

Re: How do you decide when it's time to sell?

Nobody wants to be monitoring the prices all day with the cursor on the sell button just waiting to click the mouse, so how do you decide when to sell?

If you set up an open order with a low target price, you'll be disappointed when the price climbs well above your target price.
If you set up an open order with too high a price, you might not sell at all.

What's your strategy?

I try to follow if theres any particual news about that coin and wait the market stabilize the price and then sell it at a high point. If the second day it dipped to half then i buy again the same amount to average out my coin price and wait it out for a good 6 months.

Do you predict crypto to get to new highs or the opposite ?
I speculate a sharp decline on Cryptocurrency specially  Bitcoin this year.
Call it a inner feeling.

I believe 2018 will be a great year from cryptocurrency. People are just starting to wake up and its a matter of time. And im also predicting a stock market crash would should push investors into crypto even more bringing our market cap even higher !
By the end of this summer i think we will start seeing a huge incline hopefully !

Re: Bitcoin or Altcoins? Which is safer or more profitable?

Hello family, I need to take an informed decision on this issue

With the present challenges with the blockchain technology and its present congestion ,

Is it still safe, wise and as profitable as before to start a fresh bitcoin investment?

I'm thinking that investing in a number of the other several altcoins might be much better

Pls I need your thoughts and opinions on this....thanks

Hey there !

I was having the same debate myself about that .. I noticed on the last dip we had, when BTC dropped majority of altcoins followed... i mean it seems its all attached to the BTC. But as return on your investment vs the money you put it, i would go with altcoins as i can make more with volume on cheaper price under a 1$ than the BTC it self. After hitting it big i would transfer all my altcoins to BTC and wait for the long term result ! Hope it helped ! Smiley

Cheers !

Re: What if everyone withdrew their coin in fiat?

Would there be enough money in the exchanges? Would bitcoin fail?

But when someone is selling his bitcoin isn't it being replaced by someone else who is buying ?
I mean if i own 1 BTC and i sold it on the exchange, now someone else owns my 1 BTC ?

Thanks !
