First of all, I am certain this has not been the worst year for Bitcoin prices. I believe 2011 was worse. But most likely, many people on this platform were not dealing in Bitcoins in 2011. Now let's talk about the reason for price drops. I think I disagree with you here too. Placing the reason behind a bad year for Bitcoins on the large number of ICOs is rather inaccurate economics. It is clear that there were a number of peculiar factors that came into play this year. I think lazy investors too are contributing to this issue. If everyone does proper research before investment, the market will actually flourish more.

What is happening in the US is really horrible. And the media is happily enhancing the calamitous situation. They readily report allegations now; granting weight to rumors with little or no investigation. And I think this is really really wrong. The US is setting itself up for suicide. The situation that is on ground now is that any smart person knows that it is foolish to believe any party at this point. Everyone throws allegations around these days. Today, it's about the Russian collusion. Tomorrow, it's about campaign espionage. Which are we really to believe? Is there nothing like investigative journalism anymore or it's just anything that feeds the belly now? They just want to keep us all distracted from the real issues!

Policing in the United States is in total shambles. In fact, it only reflects the state of most sectors of the country. But that's by the way. The truth is that the government must solve this issue as fast as possible. But I still do not accept the analogy with ISIS. That's just garbage exaggeration. Many citizens, especially the minority groups, too can do better in their relation to the cops. I do not ask that the cops be feared but they should at least be obeyed. Many face the police with a prejudiced and combatant attitude. And the outcome is never good.

It comes down to personal resolve, I believe. There is no place where standing for the truth is totally impossible. We like to say that nothing is impossible. So, why not maintain the same attitude here? People ask the same question about lawyers. But the same is the case. A truthful politician however will have a very rough road. The art of diplomacy and people pleasing is a really difficult one. And it is even more difficult when you're a man of integrity.

Very interesting view of the future you have there. But I think it is highly unrealistic. It is indeed very convenient to point out the negatives of the present banking system. It will be however unobjective to leave out the positives. Because there are many actually. If the present system is that bad, it wouldn't have lasted this long. And what do you mean by each person managing their own finances? Why are we so spent on seeing out the Fiat system? I don't think it will happen. We should focus on strengthening the cryptocurrency market especially now.

I know very well that girls are not necessarily moved by what they see. I say that more in regards to looks now. Of course, when an average girl sees money, you begin to seem attractive. Now back to looks, you would most likely gain audience with a girl with good looks. But with just that, the audience won't last long. So, you need other things. One of them is being good with words. Ladies are very emotional beings. So, if you can always make her feel good with your words, you're on the right track. Money certainly too would place rather high in the ranking.

By the standards of your post, I might not qualify to comment here. I have not been into Bitcoin for that long. But I might still be able to make some sense. The truth is Bitcoin has helped me tremendously financially. And I didn't start out investing a lot of capital. But I have also had very close friends who had huge capital at the beginning. And they have only made very little profit. At some point, they were losing a lot of money due to investing in the wrong projects. So, it's not straight forward situation. By the way, investing in cryptocurrencies while you're in debt is a no no for me. The probability that you'll make the right choices is very low.

There is a general saying that comes to my mind when I read this. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. I really picture how powerful tech giants' CEOs like Facebook and Google feel having access to all that info and data, carefully collected from all around the world. And as we all well know, knowledge is power. The same goes for the leaders of the financial systems. Having all that control over funds and knowing so much about all the transactions that go on around the world. One would certainly get tempted someday. And this is where decentralization comes in handy; to relieve them of that burden.

Most business ventures are a risk. In short, I would even say ALL. It is commonly said that the higher the risk, the greater the reward. Although, Bitcoin wasn't created to emulate some sort of business pattern, it has literally been accepted as that. So, it is only logical that it should involve some level of risk too. Oh, yeah, there's financial risk in putting your money behind a relatively new technology. But it doesn't exceed that. There isn't any other form of risk I perceive in dealing with Bitcoins. Except of course if it's been banned in your country.

Becoming wealthy is a dream for many people. But most have this desire for the wrong reason. I really admire the early investors in cryptocurrency. They basically saw what most people didn't see then. And most of them invested for some noble reason. Just as with any other engagement, the folks who later join do so for many other different reasons. But even if your sole reason for investing in Bitcoin is to make money, there's nothing wrong about this. However, make sure the society benefits from this wealth of yours.

Human psychology is interesting. We really look for the cheapest ways to make ourselves feel better at times. If it works for you, then great. Though I noticed that you see yourself special in a negative way. Lol, that's quite hilarious and unexpected too. Personally, to be honest, I do not consider myself to be special in any way. Unique maybe, I could agree to that. But then more than a billion others also lay claim to the uniqueness. So, this so called uniqueness doesn't make me special actually. Everyone should just do their thing and forget all the pettiness.

I really do not see a future where Crypto replaces Fiat. Honestly, such a future is not desirable. Even if it was desirable, quite a number of factors will not permit it to happen. I think the first major factor is government. Governments will never allow the eradication of Fiat currency. The eradication of Fiat will also mean the eradication of central banks. And this will mean complete loss of economic control by the government. I don't see any government letting this happen. Unless of course digital currencies will cease to be the way they are presently and face some really stiff regulation.

Let me start with your closing remark. You say that information is so easy to reach today. But I ask, are there still so many unanswered questions that mankind still has a lot of work to do concerning them? Questions like the origin of man, the purpose of life, the Afterlife, whether it exists or not. In spite of all this information you claim is available, have these questions been answered? Man is not just a physical or intellectual being. He has a soul and a spirit. It is men who are aware on the spiritual level that recognize the presence of a God and subscribe to spirituality. This kind of man might not have all the answers too but he is not foolish enough to close his eyes to the reality of a spiritual dimension of life. This is why people still believe.

Well, the answer is not so straightforward. It depends on how you choose to see it. From one perspective, too much regulation will mean that the sole purpose of Bitcoin might be lost. If government is in total control, then the dream of decentralization is as well as lost. It won't take time before it's just like Fiat. But there's also the positive perspective. Support from government could translate to reputation boost for mainstream observers. And with trust going up, more investors are bound to flock in.

I want to buy as many bitcoins as I can. I plan to use this as a long-term investment. That is why the drop of bitcoin is now very beneficial for my purposes. But, as always, there is another side to the coin). Is it worth buying now or maybe it's worth waiting a few more months and then I can buy more by spending the same amount of money.

Why do most people think that once upon a time everything was better? Previously, people were kinder and more decent, politicians are more cunning and nobler. It seems to me that people very little and slowly change and most often change in a negative direction.
We say that we have bad politicians. We very easily condemn not only politicians, but also our colleagues and acquaintances. We blame that we do not live the way we want everyone around us, but not ourselves.

Oh, I know what you're all about too well. My ex-boss is "absolutely perfect." I do not know if my advice will help you. But I stopped commenting his words and eventually learn to pay no attention to what he was saying at all.
