Eterbase turned out to be a scam!

A while ago I found a thread on 4chan's 'biz' board about eterbase being setup and run by a company with a long history of running scams. Have a read for yourself here: https://archived.moe/biz/thread/13287892/

Huge red flag...which turned out to be true.

The latest medium post outlines what has since happened.

(basically it was set up by a group/company known for pulling huge scams, this was no different. They've now pulled an exit scam and left a few people behind who are trying to pick up the pieces apparently)

https://medium.com/@ETERBASE/introducing-eterbase-a-s-ac749f70782

"here were many important changes to the ETERBASE project in recent days and weeks. Firstly, due to publicized inquiries regarding the connections between the founders and Jeeves Group we have received an official resignation of all members of Jeeves Group from the board of ETERBASE AG in Liechtenstein."

"This unexpected resignation, however caused a major issue with the planned restructuring, administration capacity, official representation, compliance and banking partners to the degree that ETERBASE AG is not able to function as intended in this crucial moment.

ETERBASE a.s.

For this very reason we have decided to establish ETERBASE a.s. in Bratislava (Slovakia), where most of our development team and support staff was based to this point. We perceive Bratislava region as a future cyber-security hub with several high-tech companies already setting up major campuses to retain and hire top talent within the region."

If eterbase started as a scam, maybe it is now being run with the hope of being legit. If it is...it's got a long road ahead to meet it's original promises.

I cannot see it coming back from this, it was a scam from the start so no work has actually been done other than smoke and mirrors to pull investors in and sell the tokens. Now they hope to actually achieve what they said they would...except they are now 18months further on but starting from the beginning.

Things seem to have gone very quiet, the token price has dropped like a stone...I hope the devs still believe in the vision and aren't losing faith.

I remember the post he made but when I searched for it there is no sign.

Am sure he mentioned about putting in a large amount of cash. He's made some good calls in the past, I hope no one took his advice on this one!

Did you get out in time bruce?

Its pretty simple:

Revolut: send some EUR from here to your coinbase, this creates the link and allows you to then send EUR back to it.

As above. All you need to do is the reverse of how you bought them.

So, sell the ltc back to euro, withdraw euro to your revolut account. Then convert back to GBP (if you're in the UK) and send that back to your bank account.

Just check post history of the accounts who hype Spectrecoin and you can see that all they do is posting about this coin. Always the same accounts as well who post in every thread, probably same guy sitting in his mothers basement with 10 different bitcointalk accounts.

It's the shill accounts that put me off completely. The same posting style, same crap that gets spouted and you never get just one, it's always a fleet of them backing each other up trying to cause fomo.

Re: The Next 10x - 50x Coin - Binance
by

My pick is ADA, TRX and POWR, all these three coin/token cost less than $1. They all has very high potential to reach 10x 20x or 50x in 2018 at Binance.

You're looking at the price of the coin and not the market cap....

TRX reach 50x? So you're saying it could have a marketcap of $100 billion dollars next year?

This is why you should take recommendations from people on forums with a pinch of salt Cheesy

Any news on being listed on any other exchanges?

It's depressing to think I should have just kept waves rather than buy OCL.

Re: [MOD] 7 reasons why to invest in Modum
by

on 16/12/2017, 12:50:43 UTC
The token is not a security. Binance doesn't list securities (check their coins submission form, they ask legal proof for it). And the coin is listed on Binance.

It passes the howey test which means that the SEC or other financial regulatory bodies can deem it a security.

You're correct, at the moment it isn't classed as one but it does meet the criteria for one.

This is a really good point....can anyone answer?

Yeah the token allows holders to vote on issues and each MOD token comes with aligned incentives & profit-sharing. So basically once the company is profitable you will receive dividends from the tokens you hold.

This makes the token a security. Always worries me as securities are heavily regulated and the SEC could decide to take action on this.

I was amazed how high the price has stayed. I sold at 342 sats which got me 850% return but looking now I should have held on a bit longer as the price has bounced back up!

OP not realising that there are billions of coins locked in wallets that can't be accessed just yet?

As soon as they are released, watch that price TANK.

$2 by the end of the year? You'll be lucky to see 0.02c.

You'll hear this all the time, but don't invest what you cannot afford to lose.

Whilst everything is good, it's easy to think that there is no risks in keeping money in the popular coins. Unlike a bank though, there is no protection and if something were to happen to make the market plummet you will lose a lot of your money.
