bout 616 euro a BTC.... When today's rate is average is 596.53 euro.
It makes no sense to look at the average price, it's the current price that counts. I like using kraken.com exchange, it gives the best rates of any site I've seen so far. I assume it's available in Ireland using IBAN. Current price: EUR 616.

I don't think he meant an average daily price but rather the average price from all the major exchanges (kranken, bitstamp and so on) at the time that Bitcove asked for 616. today (when i checked they asked for 646 while the average on the big exchanges was 613/614). I think that's what he meant.
I also guess that he knows the major exchanges like kraken and bitstamp (those are the first exchanges everyone comes across, right?) and has his reasons  for not using them.

@devil11:
So everyone who has a new account on bitcointalk is a scam?
That is the stupidest thing I heard in quite a while.. especially if one considers the fact that you can often buy "old" bitcointalk accounts with a hight reputation and trust level.
At least with this offer I can not see that it is such an "obvious scam".. Why would one offer a minimum of 10 Euro, like a kind of test buy, if you plan on taking the money and run? that wouldn't make sense..one can do that once or twice and make 20 Euro.. which would hardly be worth the effort.
did you try to buy some btc from BTC-Sales and got scammed? or are you just makeing wild accusations based on nothing??

Im a newbie too and also offered today to another user on bitcointalk to sell him/her bitcoins, does that make me a scam too? ..because i didnt spend first a couple of years posting on a bitcoin forum??

there is always a risk involved if you do business with strangers over the internet.. especially when it comes to bitcoin related activities and that has hardly anything to do with being a newbie or having a good reputation. of course the risk is higher if you deal with someone without a reputation, but everyone who has a good reputation started as a newbie once!

And what's your problem with "cheap fees" do you sell bitcoins too BUT for a much higher fee? and are spreading now fud because you don't want to loose customers?? I think 2%-4% is a pretty fair fee and i'd be rather suspicious with offers demanding 10-20% fees!

Oh and I never heard of Bitex.ie.. so I can't recommend for or against it.
Personally I wouldn't use anything which isn't well known and has not a big user base and a great track record.
Bitcove.ie seems to be too expensive on top of that, so I wouldn't use that either way.

If you need someone to sell you Bitcoin (on a regular base,) I could do that for the BitcoinAverage exchange rate (+ a 2% fee).
(https://bitcoinaverage.com/#EUR). But only if you can make deposits to a bankaccount. (Just send me a pm if you are interested in that.)

If you prefer to trade on an exchange yourself, there are many, many exchanges out there. Just try some and stick with the one you like the best. Of course there is always the risk that an exchange gets hacked and/or goes bankrupt.

Another option for you might be LocalBitcoins https://localbitcoins.com/.

And there is of Bitsquare, a decentralized Bitcoin exchange https://bitsquare.io/ (still in beta I think, worth to check it out).

Greetings to Ireland,

I use Electrum as my Desktop Wallet which is light, fast, secure and easy to use (and of course free).
https://electrum.org/#home

On Android you could use:
Simple Coin:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.btcontract.wallet

CoPay:
https://copay.io/

GreenAddress:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.greenaddress.cordova

GreenBit:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.greenaddress.greenbits_android_wallet

They are all free, so you can try them all and just keep the one you like the best.

Hope that helps

Greetings from Germany
