Yes this was disappointing. At $4400 each it would take an $88,000 investment to get them. Unless your BTC rich. It’s not gonna happen. I’d like to try one. At 18Th/s you could still roi in 90 days. I’d take that over an S9 at the prices they sell for.

It sucks because I am setup for 20 miners at my house. That’s  all I have power and plugs for. It sucks thinking about them roi in 90 days and the kind of monthly income that would come after that. I would have to borrow the 88k to buy them and then they would all have to work. Too risky. No can do, but dam I dream.

Do you have a normal power source? How can your network support 20 miners at same time?

I have tried Alibaba in the past order for miners for about $10K and had good success.  Make sure you have a good rating on the company that you are buying from.

What payment method did you choose? Can you give us the name of the seller?
I guess some extra info would be greatly appreciated by alot of people here.

Received reply from Ebit sales team. They need 100 units as minimum order  Shocked. We all need to stick together to break this monopoly. There is no fair trade happening with Chinese manufacturers.

They are a private company and they can do whatever they want with their products. Like someone said , a group buy would solve this problem. My only concern is regarding the quality of these products. Do they worth those high prices?

Well I am in the same situation as you.
I never had an Antminer but I want to buy one.
I am in EU, and can pay only with visa card, or try to buy bitcoins with card to pay.
So I was looking on alibaba site for at least one month, but like you I don't know who to trust.

There are sellers with videos, and have their company name written on a paper.
I will try to post links here, hope I don't break any kind of rule.
This should provide proof that they are legit, but again, maybe there is at least one person in this world who bought one from alibaba and happens to have an account here and can help us out!
All of them have Transaction numbers (6 months) and 1/4/6 years registered on alibaba.

One information I can provide is that they asked me what TH do I want? 13.5 or 14? and when do I want it because the price differs. Like if I want it in 1 week is 5000 USD, 1 month 4000-3000 USD and so one.

It would be extremely helpful if someone who bought from them can come with a feedback to help out people who have only credit card.

Cheers!

These are probably clones/replicas of the original bitmain product. Im curious if anyone bought something like that and if the asics are reliable like the original ones.

Has anyone tried to buy s9 asics from Alibaba? Are the sellers there trustworthy?

yes there are good sellers.

but insist on paying with paypal.

I purchase and use paypal.

costs me 5% extra

but I get paypal protection

Never never never never buy from them if they do not take paypal.

Can you recommend some good sellers there? Im afraid i might receive fake or bad replicas...

I use btc merged mining with namecoin on antpool. Havent received any namecoin payment until now. Am it the only one with this problem?
You realise you are giving away your share of tx fees by mining at Antpool?

Stupid idea.

I have only one s9 right now and im waiting for another batch of 3 in january. After reading all the stories here i will probably switch to kano. Thanks for the heads up

Hi all, what is your favorite wallet and why? I've been with coinbase for sometime now and yesterday they sent out an email requesting form W-9s from any account that looks like it's a business. I know this is probably federal oversight and I'd prefer to stay away from them since I'm not purchasing actual coins nor do I want anyone watching over my activity.

Thanks in advance.

Great job overcon! Hopefully I'm the next block

I recommend ledger nano and trezor hardware wallets, you can generate address there and store your mined btc safe and easy.

Sorry if I am rehashing old news but I am reading something about CEO being a stripper. Most people here dismiss this as FUD but I haven't seen refutable evidence to the contrary. I guess it is OK to have a past but are we sure that the CEO is who he says he is?!
Just to note, I am a Monetha holder and believe in the project but I want to know that the project team is serious and now just a "fake" team since that has been the case before in other ICOs.

I dont care if he was a stripper, hooker or anything else. Everyone has a second chance in life and he seem to be an ambitious person with a good product.

Is there any plan of adding Monetha to Bittrex or any other bigger exchange in the near future?! I think that would really give a boost to the price. I tihkn that is what Monetha needs to be able to do really take off. We had a "fake" take off with a pump and dump as BTC price skyrocketed. It seems that we are recuperating right now but not yet taken off.

BIG WHALES ARE LOADING!  EXPECT AN EXPONENTIAL RUN VERY SOON!!!!!

This holder now just added an additional 20 million tokens within the last 24 hrs!

I've never been so happy to miss out on an ICO like monetha.

I agree with you because now i have the chance to buy more coins and invest in this good project!
what was monetha's ICO price ?
i think right now the price is much down then its ICO price
this is a good opportunity to buy more monetha token right now
if some bag holders is will to sell more then there is much more chances to buy more at very cheap price
its look like monetha is hiring new team members and working on the project
so if right now the price is cheap i am sure it will not always going like this
and when the price will up then only sellers regret and holders will gain more profit

Thats exactly what i was saying, we have a very good opportunity here to invest in something good. We will talk again next year when it will go x50. This is crypto!

$60m bitcoin locked vs constant sell pressure by miners... could be worse.
There is no reason to believe that the haul is "locked". Quite the contrary. I'm sure it will be converted and laundered ASAP.

you can't just launder $60m from crypto to fiat. that's not possible
Oh yes you can Mogambo. My first step would be to get it to Monero. I don't know why you would say that. It wouldn't be hard at all.

I guess we will see Monero spiking hard soon if you are right and regarding Nicehash i feel lucky i havent used their services even though i had the intention to rent some of my hash power.
