Re: [Havelock] HASH - Mining Equipment Sales, Contracts, More

...
BTCI does hold 40% of the Member Units of Coin Services LLC. This amount of units is the basis of the investment on Havelock for foreign investors. US investors will invest directly with the US LLC via a Reg. D 506c exemption we have obtained from the SEC. To avail ourselves of both exemptions we do need to keep the two offerings separate from each other and will do such through the onshore and offshore entities. ...

Lol, 506c, while allowing general solicitation, requires you to sell only to accredited investors.  Havelock has no mechanism in place even for basic AML, forget verifying investor qualification.  You've got to be either pretty desperate or astoundingly cocky to try this.

You might be misunderstanding that this IPO is for BTCI, rather than CS LLC. If you want to invest directly with CS LLC then you must be accredited and find other means, to which, I'm not sure what offerings, if any, are available. CS LLC is not seeking direct funds from Havelock, so what Havelock does or doesn't have to facilitate the SEC doesn't matter.

Also another issue, I can't seem to save changes to a Price Change Insurance, it won't retain any data no matter what I try, even just unticking buy/sell doesn't save.

So am I to understand that if we want option 2 as per the email, and as was thought to be automatically happening for previous customers, we now need to donate via the website?

And as per Jabbers' post, it looks like the new version is missing features we previously had?

Perhaps getting some of the more experienced users, who have been known to help people troubleshoot, to do some reviews on this new version might convince me to donate a higher value than the minimum.

Presently, I'm not convinced its worth the move. Jabbers, does the original Simple Trade Bot still work with the new version installed?

I'm not sure how this is possible, but this is my experience with BTCChina.

I've got two webservers located in different datacentres here in Australia, one successfully connected to BTCChina using their API via PHP, the other couldn't - exact same code. This suggests that there might be some sort of routing/firewall issue somewhere. My PC at home also couldn't connect. I had begun work on creating a pass-through on the server that worked, simply adding its IP in my hosts file for api.btcchina.com - this was gaining some traction when I read here that people had successfully connected via API after doing a trade. I proceeded to deposit and sell 0.01BTC for market value. Several moments later (roughly 3 minutes) I tried the Haas bot again (after removing the hosts record), the test settings reported that it 401'd, but BTCChina was then available for selection in the "Exchange Website" drop down and I could get my balance using "Show Wallet".

So, for those that aren't having success connecting, looks like its confirmed that all it might take is a simple sell and you'll be in the clear.

I made a small adjustment to the BTCChina API in my code. It still works for me and maybe it will work for more people, maybe it was my code.

I have updated the download to version 0.9.0.5 beta, is there somebody willing to give it a try?

Still 401'ing, after 24 hours of this particular public/private key being active.

BTCChina is working, it looks like BTCChina is activation each API by hand or something. Suddenly after a few hours you will be able to connect.
http://www.haasonline.com/most-reported-issues-with-the-simple-trade-bot/

I'm not sure this is accurate. I got the API to work with PHP. The only thing not working is the bot.

I'll continue to be patient but I believe there might be another issue at play here.

I added 2-factor authentication on my BTCChina account encase that was the solution... didn't help the haas bot.

Stephan,

I've confirmed my API public/private key works by using a PHP Class (https://gist.github.com/mkraemer/7483878 (I forked it for use with PHP pre 5.4)). I'm able to use getAccountData successfully.

I haven't deposited anything into my account yet, so I'll be happy to supply my public/private key for testing and then later revoke the key.

Please let me know what action to take so I can get the trading working on BTCChina!

Cheers

Hi Stephan,

I've tried to add the API keys in for BTCChina and it isn't able to verify using the "Test settings" button.

Quote
The given connection settings do NOT work properly, the connection to the API has failed.

Credentials are invalid (Error executing authenticated query: The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.)

I've verified the credentials and created multiple keys which hasn't proved to be of any success.

This pool is on the constant improve! Less than 24-hours ago the admins effectively asked what is the feature we all wanted most and had it finished and in production in no time at all, the API has been running flawlessly since.

Having their own custom built infrastructure gives them this ability to churn out new features and support their site much better than the copy/paste site most pools are using.

For a PPS pool with only 1% fee, you really can't go wrong with Hypernova!

Australian here.

I'm going to say that its only a rude word when used in slang and still depends on the context, I wouldn't classify it as a swear word. Root can mean f*ck, depending how its used. But you don't tell somebody to get rooted, like you would say get f*cked (actually, I guess people do say get rooted when they want to avoid saying get f*cked, it kind of tones it down). However, it's more widely used to refer to the act of sex, it would be synonymous with "shag", "bang", "screw" and f*ck, in that regard. The word is still used commonly for its other purposes, like plant roots, square roots, etc without the giggles. I wouldn't say its a swear word here, I'd say that you'd maybe hear it used to refer to sex if you're talking to somebody who speaks with a fair amount of Aussie slang.

The best way I can think to use it in context, would be the situation of waking up after a night clubbing and my roommate asks me if I "pulled any roots", referring to having sex with anybody, rather than doing the gardening, and with that, queue the jokes.

I like the general principles that Root brings to the table, I look forward to seeing more updates soon with progress towards the launch, and the discussions that follow.

I'm loving this pool so far, kudos to M0nsieurChat and Soak!

I've found a couple bugs which have been sorted out really fast, over the course of the last week I've seen various new features added to the site and the continual development and involvement both admins show is outstanding, the community is slowing building in IRC and everybody is friendly. I really hope the speed for this pool takes off and more people come to, what I feel, is one of the better pools going.

Australia here

I actually got a couple mates into BTC, they've gone down alt coin paths as they've discovered them, but we're often bartering between us for drinks down the pub for BTC/LTC and making trades via smart phones... we look like a bunch of nerds, but we have a good time Smiley
