Re: Is Trading Costing Us More Than We Think?
by
Chibaba
on 02/12/2024, 04:38:12 UTC
A while back, I took a hard look at how much I was spending on trading fees. Futures, spot, perpetuals, it didn’t matter. The total hit me like a punch to the gut. For every trade I carefully planned, a chunk of my profit was quietly eaten away. And the more I traded, the worse it got.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had my wins. There’s nothing like the thrill of catching a perfect market move. But when I looked closer, I realized the fees were taking a bigger piece of the pie than I’d like to admit. It got me wondering, why don’t more platforms offer something meaningful to offset these costs?

Sure, I’ve heard about discounts and bonuses here and there, but they often feel temporary or hard to access. What if there was a way to consistently cut fees or even get rewarded for trading? Wouldn’t that make the whole game more sustainable, especially for smaller traders like me trying to scale up?

I’ve heard rumors of platforms offering permanent rebates or incentives tied to certain apps, but I haven’t looked too deeply yet. What about you? Have you come across any tools or events that actually help with fees or rewards? I’d love to hear what’s working
Those trading fees can be quite a lot if you cumulatively calculate it and that's why most exchanges often role out trading fees rebate campaigns to subsidize these fees. Exploring the innovative telegram trading mini app could provide rebate opportunities particularly for those using Bitget mini app to trade. Bingx and Gate also have this mini apps but not sure if they allow both spot and futures with a trading fee rebate campaign to onboard users.

Re: What Makes a Good Web3 Wallet?
by
Chibaba
on 10/11/2024, 17:35:58 UTC
This is a common question in the crypto space, especially for newcomers. Several features make a wallet effective, and the best choice depending on the user’s needs. For instance, MetaMask supports Ethereum but not Solana, so users wanting access to Solana Web3 services would need a wallet like Solflare or Phantom. Other popular options include Trust Wallet and Bitget Wallet.

Some wallets offer innovative features, integrating multiple services such as multi-chain support, dApp integration, ease of use, transparency, & openness.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you have any wallet recommendations for others to try?
All the mentioned wallet are quite good but Bitget wallet and perhaps trust wallet would be a good option if you want wallets that support multi chain and but Bitget wallet has seen adoption recently which could largely be due to it's convenience to use cos recently they also launched their wallet lite mini app which simplified the setup process without the need for recovery phrases.

Re: How hyped are you for GRASS

GRASS airdrop starts in 2 days

I believe some of us here at least far5med Grass and we've been tracking the premarket price for a while now, the token lists on the 28th and the airdrop just an hour 30 minutes before listing.
People are already criticizing Binance for not listing grass on the first day due to the huge community, who knows if they plan to list it later. Are you guys hyped for the airdrop?

Binance listing free coins comes with terms and conditions and I'm not sure if Grass project has met the criteria yet. For them to list on Binance, they have to give some percentage of the supply to Binance for their Launchpool so Binance exchange users can benefit and I'm not sure if it's all project that are ready to give free tokens and most of the time, token listing on Binance isn't like then anymore, they don't run up again for people to benefit any more.

Coming back to the project, I learnt it is. Depin project and that seems to be the new trend I'm seeing around and people are connecting there computers to farm as node, it's the first of its kmodn that really consider the community but keeps your hopes down. The only two exchanges with comfirm listing is Bybit and OKX and you know how these shity are they. Once you received your allocation, sit back and watch what happen on listing day and decide what you will do next.
Listing on Binance or any exchange are mostly the project team choice upon mainnet launch and if the project live up to expectation every other exchange will come knocking without asking. I doubted the potential of GRASS upon launch but with the current price compared to what it traded on Bitget Premarket $0.79; I think it's has to live up to expection and once again pre-market trade has proven to be worth exploring.

Re: Airdrops Getting Tougher: Is the Effort Still Worth the Reward?
by
Chibaba
on 02/11/2024, 08:00:50 UTC
Honestly, airdrops are becoming more difficult to farm, especially the popular ones. I’m starting to get concerned. The Eigen airdrop was great, I ended up with over $2K just for using the network, without even knowing about the airdrop in advance. It wasn’t as hyped, so not many people were prepared for it.

The more people that prepare for these airdrops, the smaller the rewards. Take Get Grass, for example, they used my internet 24/7 for months, and in return, I got 6 cents... I’m frustrated. I saw it trading in pre-market at $0.96, and if it lists at $1, my 6 Grass would be worth $6. Sure, it’s free, but it hardly feels worth the effort.

I’ve been involved since epoch 3 and honestly expected a bit more. Does anyone share similar thoughts with me or you are all bullish?
I share same sentiment but GRASS has been remarkable if you had hodled till this moment. I didn't get a decent allocation too but to a decent decision to buy on Bitget's premarket when the price was dropping few hours before listing at $0.79 and would likely take profit today if the price touches the projected $2.

Sometimes being lucky making the right decision and being patient is rewarding.

Re: Should I save or trade my SOL?
by

on 27/10/2024, 16:37:14 UTC
What do you guys think, if I have perhaps 100 $SOL which do you think is better Staking it for 2 to 3 days with a 10% APR or actually trading the SOL myself for that same time period. Personally, I think the savings might be safer and more predictable than the trading option. If I was to trade on Spot, it would probably be safer too, but I wouldn't make as much profit as the savings, but I wouldn't make significant losses either. If i trade on futures I probably might make more profit, but I come with greater risks

I think some exchanges offer around 10% or more in savings deals, what do you guys think
It's really hard to give financial advises here, and one thing is that you shouldn't ask for one as everyone will have their own opinion on it. For Sol though, lately it has been hype if I'm not mistaken, breaking into the top 10 and dislodging other good coins like ADA.

So in any case, everything is going to be your decision, I'm not into staking as well. Why you just hold on it though and continue to buy and see how it goes for you in this bull run? Anyway, good luck to you and hope that you will make the best decision and so you can make good profits in the future.
Solana is no longer hype but the real deal imho. It should be among the top 3-4 blockchains and it's closest competitor in terms of market cap atm should be BNB.

Exchanges have also recognized it potential to have rolled out it's liquid staking token that have seen adoption. BGSOL is the latest and have seen more than 20m solana already staked.

I have few tokens for this project, only 37 tokens that I have mined.  But I don't know how this project will be after the exchange list, it will be possible to know details about it and the price of this coin.  But I wasted my time with this project for a long time, and I deposited Eth.

The airdrop allocation is not much. I got a fewer amount (18) compared to yours but if it can list a above the premarket price on Bitget atm just like what happened with SCR it would be worth the wait.

4.5m has been raised thus far but yet to be seen how the figure will impact price upon listing

Yeah, the craze of T2E is brutal, and you won't get much from it, though everybody can try, and it can end up being another HK Grin

Those who are already savvy will definitely not jump back into similar projects like Rocky Rabbit or X Empire, but for those who have no basic in the industry, they will definitely try out the projects that keep coming. Making developers believe they still have a chance, when in fact it's just a bunch of clueless people who will just waste their time, not a win-win solution for both parties.
it's only uninformed set's of people like newbies that will think that Xempire will reward their community with anything tangible.
Most airdrop hunters are still in these gamefi project not just because of the airdrop from the project team but the extra they get from partnered exchanges like Bitget, Binance and Bybit
I received extra 20k DOGs on Binance and extra 30k CATS on Bitget and could be get extra $X on Bitget this time around cos I deposited there with the hope getting a share of reward pool attached to their Zero gas fee campaign but how much will all the drop cost depends on the listing price and I hope HMSTR and AVCN don't repeat itself.

Re: X Empire distribution How Many Do You Got
by
Chibaba
on 21/10/2024, 20:23:27 UTC
I see that you got a pretty much allocation base on what I see many other people getting after farming this project for months. You should no that telegram mini app games should not be dependent on for any big profit, they’ll just end up disappointing you and given you allocation that will be worth little to nothing with your months of farming them. Now that they’ve shared the allocation to their users, they just have to wait to see the listing price to ascertain whether the allocation is fair enough, or okay for their efforts. In all, don’t expect much from them so that you don’t get more disappointed at listing price.
I have always said that most of those project are here to farm users and perhaps encourage adoption but how this strategy works depends on how educative some of their rewarding task are and like you said it's not good expecting much from Xempire.
Take what you get cos that's what they can give.

If the Telegram airdrops are working for you, the you should give it your best after all we have different interests and targets in cryptocurrency.  Although many people believe that those airdrops have become like a waste of time and resources especially after the disappointing launch of Hamster Kombat, that is the reason a lot of people stopped doing them. I learnt that some of the airdrops are now requesting people to pay in the form of performing a TON transaction.  I will advise you pay what you can afford to lose because there is no guarantee in airdrop so it wil be bad to pay money and end of losing both your money and the time and resources you put in.
Yeah, they are becoming more like farming users rather than users farming the airdrop. Apart from notcoin and dogs, the rest have been disapointing but we don't need to give up. One of many could be a game changer tho.

Re: Scroll TGE announced. Could this signal bullish ETH Run?
by
Chibaba
on 20/10/2024, 12:32:05 UTC
Scroll TGE have absolutely nothing to do with the fact that ETH might have a bullrun though, scroll is just another layer 2 solution, there's also nothing worth nothing of this blockchain except that it's gonna be the same as other blockchain.

moreover, been hearing some bad news about their TGE anyway over the twitter, I don't think the TGE reward will also be that much, at best it will be few dollars to hundreds, the reward is diluted, the scroll mark is also diluted, last time I remember they also give scroll marks to some defi protocol address, you can guess what would be the result.
You aren't far from the truth. My experience with Puffer confirms your assertion but I still feel listing at a good price will also detemine how good the tge would be. More allocation and poor listing price makes it a dust but it will be a good start if it can list above the current pre-market price ($1.42) I am seeing on Bitget.

Re: $MAJOR insights
by
Chibaba
on 21/08/2024, 11:32:17 UTC
$MAJOR is a rating-based game on Telegram within the TON ecosystem, it has achieved 10 million users in under 10 days, that sounds like it has huge potentials that is  making people really want to be part of the project! With over 3 million wallets connected, players earn Stars through referrals, ratings, and daily tasks. A significant milestone for the project! And currently BingX is doing pre market trading on the coin. what do you think about this coin and the event?
I've been noticing for quite some time that there have been a lot of updates on major. But I started working on Telegram for a few days. As it is currently top trending, it is expected that every user can earn something good from here. But if they can list in good exchange, hopefully we can get something good from here. Those who are yet to start, start working.Hope you don't miss this major campaign.
I usually dont like participating in airdrop farming but your insight here is on point and will look into the project. However, my concern here is the listing on top exchange cos i feel exploring the Pre-market could be helpful in making a good entry since the speculative price are sometime lower than the listing price

no point participating at a project that is being farmed by too many people.  Cheesy
I agree but one could take advantage of the pre- market if it's still ongoing cos most time the speculative price are way lower than the listing price.
I had this experience from Not and IO pre-market bit not a financial advice

Re: How Do market Makers Make Profit?
by
Chibaba
on 06/08/2024, 00:00:31 UTC
I read about a projection into the coming years of the crypto market which is forecasted to reach a revenue higher than $11.71 billion in 2025 and with recent activities within the space, I understand how crucial Market makers are to the blockchain ecosystem.

Multiple question stirred in my mind as I study how these things work given the fact that all crypto platforms and markets require a certain level of liquidity.

Market makers obviously help take exchange or digital assets to the next level. While I found a project Liquidswap by Pontem claimed to be the first Automated Market Maker on the Aptos blockchain, I understand there's a lot of integration going into automating systems and platforms within this space.

I would like to get more insights on how Market makers make their profit given the volatile nature of the market. Please share your thoughts.
Never heard of the project but being on Aptos could be a good reason to look at it cos I am bit done with projects on solana and ethereum and my focus is on other blockchain atm cos the hype may be tilting towards ton ecosystem of perhaps Aptos.

More insight be appreciated particularly if there is an airdrop in play to take part

Re: As a Token Analyst, what type of coins do you trade the most?
by
Chibaba
on 29/07/2024, 09:29:51 UTC
I try my best to sometimes change my style of trading to focus on token niche sometimes and regroup to look for what works per season.

Memecoins are a form of token and you can further regroup them into BSC, ETH or Solana Tokens based on their build.

If we have been paying attention recently, in the world of meme, Sol memecoins have been surging and in other context, exchange tokens too aren't left out for the scope, surprisingly $68B which is 3.2% of the entire crypto market is held by them. Token insight has given us an insight of the tokens that did well, which $BGB and $MX.

I think grouping tokens based on the niche they belong can answer the question "what coin should I trade at the particular moment in time" as it helps to filter the noise and know where the entire market is focusing on. How do you do yours?

Source; https://www.[Suspicious link removed]s/tokeninsight.com/en/research/reports/crypto-exchange-report-q2-2024%3foutputType=amp
I have always pointed out that exchange token should be an option for investment particularly if the the token has multi-utility on its ecosystem. Bitget has seen a decent growth in recent time and BGB has also seen an increase sue case particularly with the inclusion of it as the staking pool for the newly introduced Poolx. MX on the other hand is benefiting from the exixsting utility in MEXC.

I also feel BGB, BNB, OKB and MX should be the leading exchange token atm.

So right now, Btc is at 66k already, but I still think 55k price was yesterday haha, you can see how time passes fast...

but I wonder how you guys make the best out of this market?
I can see a lot of people aren't just holding tokens but trading / staking or trying to do tasks on crypto exchanges events to earn more during this market.

I am sure this is the right moment where people will really take profit and cash out as much as they can, right guys? Would be nice if I could get some free SOL, BGB,  USDT or just other tokens in general 😁
Any moment is usually perfect for aearny depending on what you are inclined to. Airdrop hunters are smilling recently particularly those active on the Ton ecosystem. Some exchanges have alsso been budy doing some giveaway but often time it's region specific cos Bitget for instance hs one in play for their potential users dubbed daily check in where SOL, BWB, BGBAND USDT are up for grabs.

Re: Could  NFT narratives be making a comeback?
by

on 30/06/2024, 15:47:26 UTC
It seems the market is getting back on track, with BTC in the green again. I've noticed that the market tends to turn green towards the weekend, but I'm still trying to figure out the reason behind that. With this new development, I've started exploring other projects, mostly NFT-based narratives like Memeland, Pixelmon, and Mocaverse.

These projects have been making waves, even though we thought NFT narratives were gone for good. Mocaverse, in particular, has caught my attention - it's a collection of 8,888 unique NFTs by Animoca Brands that connects people and projects in Web3, gaming, and entertainment. What are your thoughts on such projects? Have you checked out any NFT projects recently?
I have high hopes for Mocaverse but not sure how it will playout. I was involve in the test net and have monitored the development with huge partnership. For some reasons I couldn't earn enough point but will definitly visit Bitget premarket for a bite cos my current point is just 394 when others are already in thousands.

Re: Layer Zero Airdrop claim..

I only got around minimum allocation. I stopped farming Layerzero about 3-4 months ago after I started noticing a trend with how drops are allocated and how terrible distributions have been in recent times. From Parcl, to Zksync to Layerzero. It's just get more disappointing by the day. Considering the fact that the CEO of layerzero was actively collect feedback and interacting with their community, it's sad to see they only allocated just 5% for the initial drop and 0.5% for the RFPs.

I will probably just wait and see what happens during the listing if it goes above premarket price value. What's your plan going into tomorrow?

https://i.ibb.co/NxvnyfJ/IMG-20240620-131802.png

It's listed already. Pre market price on Bitget was around $4. It got to $10 on listing from the chat...  But right now it's hovering around $4.2-4.7. I think I'll wait a lil for piece discovering before employing DCA!!

With just 85 million tokens in circulation, ZRO's price is still rising. After Arbitrum, this is one of the fairest airdrop;nonetheless, hundreds of thousands of people have been effectively qualifying for ZRO airdrops. Buying at the present price is really frightening.

I believe the price of ZRO will decline, but it will be pumped again afterwards. Have you qualified for the ZRO airdrop? At last, the community is deciding which token is worth purchasing. ZRO has a good prospect in the future with a small circulating supply.

https://i.postimg.cc/JznpnnLM/SAGbl.png

Your zero bag is awesome and it seems you joined earlier than i did but will be buying cos I am also confident of its potential. My first DCA was at $2.88 and my next target entry will be around $2.44.

As far as the layer 0 goes. The project seems taking a lot of traction lately. Plus there are rumors of the confirmed airdrop since the founder confirmed via twitter that in order to be not in sybil the value of bridge value to their project stargate and most likely to others should be more than $ 100 or at least $455. Check the tweet below.

https://twitter.com/GNAirdrops/status/1683377911502458880?t=yKZz5R2-g9pwDsKQvxDq4g&s=19

Well thats an expensive figure and not for all. But since they arent confirming any info about it yet. The speculations remain mysterious.

For everyone doing or interacting with layerzero found this useful tool or checkin to see your transaction and volume and even ranking on the layerzero race.

https://nftcopilot.com/layer-zero-rank-check
For sure it's too expensive but we were fortunate few exchanges had it on their premarket. Mine wasn't much but because i had the hunch that price could be bullish upon launch, I explored bitget pre-market to buy more and  tbh it was a smart play. Tho, i don't think i would be holdiing ZRO for that long except see more reasons to stick with them.

Re: I am begining on a short term investment.
by

on 23/06/2024, 20:53:51 UTC
The truth is that, be it long term or short term, what matters is that we are making profits and I can also relate with what op is saying because most times, with the hype on long term holding, it seems those who are holding for short term or even day trading are absolutely on the wrong track and these whole idealogy is absolutely wrong as no matter what means and strategies one chooses to employ in the industry, what actually matters is that, we’re making profits and staying profitable in the market.

Holding for long terms has proven over time to be in one of the safest and less risky way to make profits in the industry but frankly, to hold for long term, requires a lot of patience, dedication and determination to achieve this whole especially in a world with unending problems.

I also think to hold for long term, one ought to have other sources of income aside bitcoin, else holding for long terms might be very difficult for the holder if not impossible.

Choose your strategy and stick to it as long as you’re making profits and staying profitable in it.
You have said it all. Depending on stream of income is obviously risky if we want to get something decent from crypto trading
