Well, people will lose interest in Bitcoin if there are too many drama, conflicts, and price instability. Otherwise no, people won't lose interest.

Re: Will bitcoin replace gold?
by
Chyton
on 25/03/2018, 10:24:08 UTC
actually I don't think so. Gold has still a place in this world and it will not yet be obsolete. But in the future I think it would be, however gold still has a use for electronics and stuff. maybe that would be the future. Gold will no longer be something that holds value but more of it would be just a raw material for production.
I do agree with you, when the price of gold is cheap enough to become raw material for production, companies will start using gold in their product. Also gold gain the reputation because of mass marketing and scarcity.

Re: Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal?
by
Chyton
on 22/03/2018, 15:20:52 UTC
I think this is entirely possible because bitcoin could become an international currency, so this could be directly competitive with Paypal, so I think Paypal will be a big concern.
This is true, especially when Paypal can hold and freeze somebody else account without a proper reason, merchants maybe attracted to switch to Bitcoin where no one can freeze your money  Grin

Re: Why are people doing so many things to frustrate crytocurrency
by
Chyton
on 17/03/2018, 06:30:04 UTC
It is usually the whales who are doing things to frustrate cryptocurrencies.
The logic is easy, they dump at higher price, spread FUD, and then buy at lower price and repeat.
Since they have tons of money and Bitcoin, it is possible to play the market especially a lower cap coins.

Re: Don't worry, the market will not fall forever.
by
Chyton
on 11/03/2018, 15:21:23 UTC
Yes, I think so. The market will not fall forever. Over time, the cryptocurrency market is growing strongly. And now, the market is a little fluctuate. In my opinion, the price of bitcoin as well as other altcoin coins is being adjusted. Do not worry, I personally believe that over this time the cryptocurrency market has grown stronger and stronger.
You are right, the market will not fall forever but correction is needed for long term growth. Everything that in this world is going to grow as long as there is no life threatening problems to the company/products so Bitcoin and the market is going to stay here and grow even bigger!

I will hold further and probably sell when blockchain adoption is more than half of our population.
Blockchain is here to say, I'm gambling on Bitcoin and other coins that is why.

Re: Will Bitcoin become a long-term trusted store of value?
by
Chyton
on 06/03/2018, 12:39:54 UTC
It will especially when the public has lost trust in the Government if there is some big scandal that is uncovered.
If there ever is a scandal about store of value, I'm pretty sure that people will go to Bitcoin for trusted store of value.

Re: bitcoin benefit of saving for a long time?
by
Chyton
on 03/03/2018, 02:16:12 UTC
why so many people store their bitcoin in their wallet for a long time, whether the benefits will they get?

Come share your thoughts

the benefit are obvious aren't they? by holding your bitcoin become more valuable, and without doing nothing you could be rich!, what you want more than this? only gold offer this same thing but gold is going anywhere anymore, bitcoin has a very potential to go 10x or 100x in 10 years, i'm all for bitcoin
While it is true that it has potential to go 10x or 100x in 10 years, it defeat the purpose of Bitcoin in the very beginning which is currency.
Nakamoto created Bitcoin to be used in daily transactions, as a currency not as an asset.

Re: Is it possible to find lost bitcoins?
by
Chyton
on 23/02/2018, 11:01:48 UTC
Quite impossible, you may recover lost Bitcoins by doing attack to the network.
51% attack may succeed if you have enough hashpower and stuffs.
Other than that, if you are trying to use brute force, it's kinda impossible for now.
So no, it's impossible to recover lost bitcoins.

Re: Most cryptocurrencies to hit zero?
by
Chyton
on 12/02/2018, 13:30:05 UTC
Well probably if the crypto bubble pops, most cryptocurrencies are going to be priced near zero or zero.
After the bubble popped, we will know which coin is a scam coin and which coin is the legit one.

Re: 650,000 Bitcoins got lost from Blockchain ?
by
Chyton
on 03/02/2018, 13:37:36 UTC
Well they were not lost but they were stolen.
There is an estimation of 1.6 - 1.8 million Bitcoin that is truly lost forever because the wallet owner forgot about their wallet and deleted it or the hard drive that contains the wallet is damaged.

I'm old believer and holder of DGB but I have sold all of my coins because lack of wallet improvement.
For example, DGB gaming wallet is not working. I can't connect to the network. And I'm too busy to run the full wallet. Hope this will improve DGB.

Re: Is bitcoin really secure
by
Chyton
on 21/01/2018, 15:42:11 UTC
Yes they are secure if you are referring secure as in no one can hack into bitcoin addresses.
But if you are saying secure as in bitcoin wallet, then it all depends on the owner of the wallet.
If you are referring secure to stability, then no. Bitcoin is very volatile.

Re: Will bitcoin always be the king controlling the crypto market
by
Chyton
on 20/01/2018, 09:13:38 UTC
I don't think so. As of writing, Bitcoin dominance is about 34% which is not that big anymore. Bitcoin dominance was about 70% a couple years back. Maybe in couple decade we may see Bitcoin dominance to drop to 10-15%. Altcoin is going to control crypto market in near future.

You miss the goal of cryptocurrency here, it is not some investment!.
Cryptocurrency was created to facilitate low fees, fast transaction time that no one can control. Not some buy and hold and profit.

It is hard to say whether Bitcoin redistributes wealth or just makes the wealthy richer. Bitcoin is creating wealth for early investor and for the rich but It doesn't really redistributes the wealth.

by

Well easy, the banks will either suspend all accounts related to the cryptocurrencies or the bank will try to accumulate as much crypto as possible and manipulate the price to gain profit. Bank is greedy.

Re: Mark Zuckerberg is looking into cryptocurrency ::) ::) ::)
by
Chyton

We can't be so sure that what Mark will invent is really cryptocurrency or blockchain. He is the person who wants control over something he has made, Facebook for example, he owns the majority of voting power which means he controls Facebook. I think he will invent something more like XRP / Ripple rather than decentralised invention.
