As far as creating excitement for use and discussion, a jump start is necessary.

But the commitment of the Dev is to remain no matter what until a feasible idea comes along. And the proof is in the pudding.

Vivocoin does not look like it is going the swap route, the coins are functional and the masternodes are pretty smooth and there seems to be a commitment. They indicate that the cost of maintenance is low so it will go on forever.

As far as price goes, your guess is as good as any. Although 1 dollar can buy a lot of vivo at that price and if a move is made by the Dev, doubling or more is easy at this price.

Definitely not abandoned. There is a need for regular mining. The big miners are not regular and cause problems.
