It's also a prime example of why obscured blockchains are toast because the rot would still be in there festering and atrophying the integrity of the asset courtesy of a total absence of transparency.

Atrophy is typically caused by lack of activity, not infection.  I know you're all worked up into a rage-froth about the market's direction (IE, DASH COLLAPSING), but please don't ham-fistedly misuse SAT words in an attempt to look smart and convincing.

Obfuscated blockchains may be proven to maintain their integrity through the use of zero knowledge proofs.

ZKPs and homomorphic encryption are well known mathematical concepts.

I'm not sure why you keep insisting they are some form of voodoo, and their black magic cannot be trusted.

I guess it's because you're either bad a math, or holding bags of a coin threatened by superior fungibility/privacy.

Your attempts to spread FUD about long-understood algebra and logic don't make increase DASH's appeal, to put it mildly.

Here are two great places to start curing your superstitious fear of analysis-resistant blockchains:

http://blog.cryptographyengineering.com/2014/11/zero-knowledge-proofs-illustrated-primer.html

http://crypto.stackexchange.com/questions/1710/how-to-construct-encrypted-functions-with-either-public-or-private-data

Oh wait, those links are for adults.

Here is one that explains like you are five years old:

https://medium.com/@jinglan/how-to-explain-zero-knowledge-protocols-to-your-average-child-eb49feb4a41d

Analysis resistance is feature, not a bug.  That's why Evan was going to (IE was talking about) adding ring signatures to Darkcoin.

What are all the things they could be used for?

CoinJoin: Combining Bitcoin Transactions to Obfuscate Trails and Increase Privacy

Schnorr signatures could allow for the aggregation of all signatures in a CoinJoin transaction into a single signature. This efficiency should result into lower transaction fees per input, and perhaps stimulate use of the most private and fungibility-friendly solution.
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/coinjoin-combining-bitcoin-transactions-to-obfuscate-trails-and-increase-privacy-1465235087

Could these "Schnorr signatures" benefit DASH?

Before DASH may benefit from Schnorr signature aggregation (tree sigs), it will have to implement segregated witness.

When is DASH getting SEGWIT?

DASH can't just stagnate while Bitcoin adds Schnorr sigs, SEGWIT, CLTV/CSV, RBF, sidechains, payment channels, etc.

It will be obsolete long before Evolution is done.

It will never happen. Bitcoin will always be behind. If you were not such a idiotic schill you could have seen what is dash fork of.

Volume on BTC-e seems to be picking up, they are #2 in volume today. That is really good news in my opinion as we were in need of other good exchanges besides Polo with good liquidity. Hopefully the trend continues and volume there keeps rising.

http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/dash/#markets

That's very good news.

I am not gona feed trolls. Just the monero guys are going to dash forums but it does not work the other way. There is definitely some black fund being used to pay for this multi-level type of marketing.

Look at the monetary base and incentivization. That thing look like some kind of invisible pyramide. That's the final inovation of monero.

Anybody notice all the commotion on dash forums? Seems like we got quite a few upset individuals about the DGBB system. Trying to get a better idea of what's going on if anybody has any insights.

"Distributed Governance By Blockchain" was always a hopeless pipe dream at odds with the actual reality that Duffield 100% controls Dash.

The recursive "reinvent all the things, with moar shiny blockchains and trendy decentralizations" was never going to lead anywhere but endless frustration.

Unlike an open-ended, pay-what-you-want project funding system, Dash's centralized, inflationary budget blocks create a zero-sum outcome where the incentive structure requires successful proposals to defeat other ones in order to be funded.  That's a recipe for conflict.

Quote

Yes, only a hard fork away from Duffield, secret X11 ASIC mines, THE DARKCOIN FOUNDATION, INC., and the [problematic early emission] can save this project.

That's why Dash Classic is being implemented as a Bitcoin side chain.  It will enjoy all the benefits of Dash's masternode tier and Bitcoin's POW network, without the burden of fake "DGBB" gimmicks and legacy of snake oil marketing.

I hate this kind of spam. There are many comunities of similiarly-biased people attacking dash from absolutely volatile and unfounded ground.

If any of your claims were true then they would actualy make zero sense.
If Evan was a sole investor than it would have meant that he bringed 50 milion USD of his own money into the project. Now he is at stake to bring more money into the project.

Utterly great bullshit by monero-payed shills. Probably the only useful thing of monero anonymity is to pay those shills without evidence.

Actualy what you are saying is the same as saying that bitcoin is in hands of few. In fact the money is distributed in some way, it means nothing. It is not implying anything. One adress can be owned by company that is actualy owned by many more people and the money inside is belonging to many many more people.

You guys try to attack dash via its strong aspects but with total misinterpration of incentives that are at play.

Please leave this forum and go to your guru. We are building something good here.

Beating eBay? No way. Even if you have better script, support, etc you won't beat eBay. You'd need like $ 20K in SEO to beat them.

Idiots making predictions, lol

We have amazing comunity and I love comunity and team as well. No sheeps there Smiley

I care more about substance than opinions, and dashguy is really manipulative. He is getting very mad, when he started he was allright. He should see some psychologist. Maybe we can create a proposal for that Cheesy:D

This...Dash has a blockchain waiting to be deanonymized. Monero keeps no such ledger and doesn't face this ticking time bomb

Dash no, but XMR and SDC are real alternatives to BTC

A real alternative needs to have :

Focus on user-friendly usage (this means having solutions into place for Android, iPhone, Linux, Mac and Windows users or it will never get mainstraim usage)
Scalable with its transactions / users
Speedy transactions
Private transactions
Fungable as cryptocurrency
Focus on Reseach and Development

And frankly it needs to have them all in order to form a real alternative to Bitcoin.

IMHO: I feel DASH has it all, but user-friendliness is the worst part of it now. Plus DASH has decentralized governance and that is a part which makes it fat better than bitcoin in these times of full blocks.

I expect a continual downtrend on both exchanges.

We (serious traders) should not pray for another whale. Even praying is not good idea as in whale timing the friday is next jumping day.
