--snip--

AFAIK, ethOS comes as a disk image, so you should be able to write it to your SSD... Untested by me tough, just based on what i've read about this OS in the past

okey but i have read that running a Os from usb will like destroy your usb after a while of running it. Tongue

You were talking about running the OS from your SSD, not an USB... And even then, you can always put the image on a new usbstick anyways, it's not like the stick will store your actual wallet, so if it is fried, nothing is lost but one or two hours of your time (offcourse, you shouldn't put important data on the same stick you run your mining os from)...

True but i feel safer to have the OS on my SSD Smiley

I'm far from being knowledgable when it comes to mining alts but I believe ethOS is what I've seen people using and suggesting as well.  Alternatively, you also have SMOS.

thanks for the tip but i want to install the OS on my ssd thats in the M2 slot in my Asrock H110 Pro btc+ motherboard Smiley

Mining.. BTC ?

Don't even start wasting your energy for mining BTC with your computer (doesn't matter whether CPU or GPU).

You won't be able to gather enough hashrate to even solve a single share of a mining pool.

If you want to mine BTC, you need ASICs. And with ASICs you don't need to ask yourself which OS you should use.

No not BTC but ravencoin and other alt coins that is asic resistance Smiley
I use Nvidia cards

It looks like you have an Asrock board.
Which one is it?

It is recommed to use a special mining mainboard. Much less problems, and its cheap.
I have a ASrock H110 Pro BTC+

The thing is all my cards works perfectly when i run them solo.
I can also drive my gtx970 and my gtx1070 at the same time no problem, but when it comes to my 1050 it dosent work with the other cards. i think its something with the drivers that fucks everyhing up.

All the cards are working so it shouldnt be any problem and i have a Evga Supernova G2 1300W so 3 cards shouldnt be a problem. Tongue

i have been trying to fix this damn problem for lik 4 hours now. Cry

my rigg spec to simplyfi

CPU: Celeron G3930
Motherboard: ASrock H110 Pro BTC+
PSU: Evga Supernova G2 1300W
Geforce GTX 970 4g
Evga Geforce GTX 1050 2g
MSI Geforce GTX 1070 8g

In an ideal situation, they all should detect and work with the latest drivers.
Did you made proper changes to BIOS like:
1. Enabling 4G Decoding?
2. Setting PCIe Link speed to GEN1?

Anyway, after the proper setting of BIOS, I'll recommend a fresh install of Windows 10 and plug just one card (specifically GTX 1070), then 1050 and at last 970.

I have been looking for the 4G Decoding but i cant find it in my Bios and i have PCIe Link Speed on Auto some recommend that it should be on GEN2

i have a ASrock h110 pro btc+ motherboard. Smiley

Here's what it looks like .

http://www.informaticaenalicante.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/170920003321.jpg

in PCIE set it to gen1 not gen2 also don't forget the 2 molex from power supply to motherboard to make other GPU work.

Okey thanks man! Smiley and i guess that Habilitado is Disabled and Deshabilitado is Enable? om from Sweden by the way so i dont understand spanish if its spanish haha

Hello fellow miners!
i pretty new to this i have done some research tho!

My specs are
ASrock H110 Pro BTC+
Intel Celeron G3930
Evga Supernova G2 1300W
Msi Geforce GTX 1070
Geforce GTX 970

To my GTX970 i have PCIE Up-Riser and i have a 6pin connected to the riser and its connected to a VGA port in the PSU And the 1070 connected directly to the motherboard. My computer can only connect/recognize one card at the time even if they are both connected

I also have one Molex connected to one of the two PCIE slots on the motherboard i dont now if its all connected at the right way therefor i will upload 2 pictures of my rigg. The molex cable connects to the PSU thru the Prefix slot.

This should probably go into this area https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.0
You can use the move button at the bottom left of the screen.

As for the question, I'm not 100% sure but aren't there driver compatibility issues with the 9 v 10 series where you can't run both at the same time?

Okey im trying to install the 970 thru device manager now. Smiley
