I've invested in Nxt. There has been a massive amount of Nxt bought and sold in the last week or so. Some of the whales will have been credited with large quantities of Ardor for holding for just a few days and then will have sold while Nxt is at a high point. Evidence of that happening now can be seen in the price stall and drop.

The rest of us won't get anywhere near the same amounts of Ardor as we hold it up to 12th October, assuming that there is any Ardor left. We could soon be playing with coins that have been credited with Ardor several times over and no longer function to create Ardor credits since only so many are available. From comments I've read on exchange chat boxes, by the 12th Oct there will have been a massive dump and the price of Nxt will be next to nothing as Ardor takes over.

I'll put it straight. I'm turned off by spin. I'm not interested in watching long videos telling me how Nxt works and how POS works. Knowing that it does work is good enough for me. I get suspicious when I hear that Damelon planned to throw the towel in after three years if things didn't prove profitable - it's three years now. I don't like to hear words like wait till 2017 and trust that things will be alright.

What I would like to hear is news of what is in place now like apps that businesses and others can use. If I hear the right things I might decide to hold a while. Otherwise I will dump well before the 12th October to avoid the stampede.

Just to avoid misconceptions here: I don't say the team hyped. They made and make thoughtful marketing and that is needed and not just for the price. It is needed to get the attention of App-Dev's.

But there was a lot of hype in the community, a lot of very high hopes for short term - all the pics of lambos and screaming "moon" etc.

And it's not correct to reduce Lisk on that (marketing and hype). Like I've said: They do a lot of base-work that the majority doesn't recognize yet. But I'm sure that it will pay out. If you believe this is just about hype you should sell if you hold Lisk.

More than 50% of community members updated to 0.3.2a which released yesterday. Now everybody is testing and Oliver can focus to the 0.4.0.

Thread looks a little bit dead

I think it perfectly reasonable for the previous posters to talk about ETH and ETC since they are prime movers in the niche LISK aspires to be in. Having invested in LISK quite some time ago, I'm pissed off that the major part of LISK development is pie-in-the sky. We should have been competing with ETH/ETC on equal terms by now, but the reality is that we have done fuck all.

The same goes for NXT who are in a resurgent period and their offer of free Ardor on a daily basis for holding NXT in a wallet until 12th October is mighty tempting. Why aren't we doing anything like that?

For all those genuine LISK holders like myself who watch their stash fall in value day by day, lets hope that posts like this serve as a kick up the butt to our spotty kid of a developer. No more annoucements that sound good and mean nothing. Let's have some real development to shout about. The stats don't lie. After 1,517 pages of shite puffery since January 2016 we are at an all time low:

I'd hate this coin to go the same way as Ratecoin, where the micro-stake gamers have put such a stranglehold on that coin that only they can effectively mint new coins. When something like this happens, the lion's share ends up in the hands of a few and other people lose interest. Literally. The price then plummets.

The micro-stake gamers switch off their stranglehold occasionally to stake at the 40% max and then switch the micro-stakes back on so that the rest of us just get crumbs. Let's crash the price and flush them out!

The difficulty is consistently so high now that Thundertoe needs to draw a new graph on the OP to show the stark reality of the diminishing returns. We are off the scale. The difficulty at the moment of writing this is 0.0233.

After my next staking, I plan to beat the gamers at their own game. Give them a taste of their own medicine. I'm not going to sell at a ridiculous price. I'm going to split my not-inconsiderable hoard into micro-amounts. I suggest that other like-minded people do the same. Make sure that the gamers don't get the 40% max. That will do two things:

1)  when the price crashes further, that could give us the opportunity to buy Tek at a lower cost, if we so wanted; and
2)  it will force Tekcoin to become useful and thrive, or ...

What have we got to lose?

CryptoChainer.com has updated the TEK blockchain, as well as added a bootstrap for those who prefer those.  I see there are now some other providers offering a similar service.  We are in direct contact with the TEK dev.
