Order 32x. Hosted customer (on bitminter) and no news except 2 transactions totaling 0.7217931 that is from a newly minted block that is NOT from bitminter.

Totally fantastic.

Just hire a Swedish lawyer to send them a letter.  It will cost you few hundred Euros, but they will refund promptly.

How sure are you? Have you done the same thing?

Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It
by
Cozzie

About the argument of dividend payments, our view is that we will distribute the net income after necessary costs are excluded and funds for foreseeable future (expansion, gen-2 chips) are reserved. Bitcoin is already an investment itself having a great potential. Any investment, no matter how profitable, based on "turning Bitcoins to fiat first" requires double consideration. We can invest the RMBs to bonds and they are almost bound to be more profitable than just holding the RMBs, but we can never say the same to Bitcoins.

Would someone reword/explain to me what did he mean? I am slightly lost at the issue and his explanation.

BlackLilac your quote is wrong, he was asking for the trade fees which have nothing to do with the stock terms. Here is the right quote for reference:
Quote
What fees are there for using BTC Trading Corp?
We currently have the following fee structure:

    Trades using 2FA (Buyer): 0.2% (Trade Value X 0.002)
    Trades using 2FA (Seller): 0.2% (Trade Value X 0.002)
Trades not using 2FA (Buyer): 0.25% (Trade Value X 0.0025)
Trades not using 2FA (Seller): 0.25% (Trade Value X 0.0025)

I was asking for all types of fees incurred by using the PT. I have to admit, I did not realize not using 2FA costs me more. That notice should have be more explicit.

Terms for Burnside's 100% ASICMINER passthrough:

Quote
Payment of dividends is to be made within 2 weeks of their issuance from ASICMINER.
Dividend payments made more than 72 hours after their issuance from ASICMINER will be paid 100% of the original ASICMINER dividend.

Exclusion of Guarantees

This pass-through makes no further guarantee shall any issues arise with ASICMINER's issuer. Should ASICMINER issuers requires any fees/process to claim shares arising from any issue/event, fees will be paid in full in the name of the pass-through holders from future dividends.
[/quote]

What is the percentage of dividend that is released by ASICMiner-PT? I am assuming based on the statement above it is not 100%?

Also, what does the statement under exclusion of guarantees mean?

Gah, I want to reinvest my dividens too. Quick question since I cannot access their website. What are the fees that I pay when I use BTC-TC to buy ASICMiner shares.

I am by no means a professional website developer but I would consider myself tech savvy and I hope you wont get too offended at my feedback as I am not going to mince my words.

While I love your software, I find your website amateurishly designed.
  • The website has contrast issues. The grey font is a tad bit too light
  • Too many color used
  • Use at most 3 fonts but they should be complimentary (At the moment, the title font is too jarringly different)

Something like http://source.android.com/source/index.html would be nice.

Re: What are the most important bitcoin ecosystem development for mass adoption?

I would say reduce bitcoin-qt. I'm not as much worried about the 10gb because of the size of harddrives these days as much as I'm worried about the large amount of time it takes to download for someone interested in starting up. It took me several days to get it downloaded and I feel like in the future that can make people less excited to do BTC.

Hrmm. I think we have come to the point that your average user should not be using bitcoin-qt. As much as there will be pruning of the blockchain in the future, we are constrained by the fact that we have to download and verify the blockchain if we are to use bitcoin-qt. While some optimization can be done, there will be a limit and it will still take some time to "boot up" due to the design nature of the software.

Hence I feel new users should a non server trusting thin clients instead. Yes, the security might be reduced but I feel at this point in time this model is decently secure. Multibit comes to mind as a great choice; It's easy to use and fast.

I personally think BitPay is one such great project. Hedging for the merchants instantly vaporize any risks and allows merchants to see bitcoin as another transactional tool which is what is most important - ubiquity.

The other is NFC enabled phones (and by extension apple allowing bitcoin based apps) but this is one such thing that is out of the bitcoin community's control.

Board Scam Accusations
Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM

I have a device ordered and I believe they are ridiculously incompetent more than anything else. My worry is less about them being a scam or not but the fact that if they do not deliver, in 2-3 month, avalon chips will be deployed and my ROI on my BFL preorder will pretty much double or triple their original estimation. Part of me feels I should take refund and buy ASICminer shares instead.

It depends on when you ordered. If you ordered 1 Jalapeño in July 2012, you might get it in 3 months. But that's VERY optimistic. Super optimistic. A gamble in itself.

If you ordered a Jalapeño in 2013, you won't get your order this year. If you ordered a Mini Rig, regardless of the order date, you will never get it. If you ordered a single or little single, regardless of the order date, you won't get your order this year.

That's the reality. And yes, I'm an early BFL customer. And i'm not asking for a refund just because I paid in Bitcoins, so an USD refund would just be a slap in my f**** face. I took a gamble, and I lost big time. But anyhow I will keep telling the truth to anyone asking.

Yeah, I agree with you, I ordered a device with a larger hashrate. At least I ordered with US dollar.

Re: BTC value at the end of May
by

I think it will rise slightly but it's hard to guess what price based on current situation be because bitcoins is driven by news at the moment. That said, the issue is volatility because a rise of say, 10% overall this month but with a swing of 30% makes people who have yet to adopt less much less confident to do so.

Re: If bitcoin survives....

I believe some country, in particular China will ban bitcoins just because it is something they cannot truly control. That will have some impact and to what extent I am not sure but probably reduce the success of bitcoins dramatically because 1 Billion people not being able to use bitcoins is a big deal.
