I remember seeing an article when the big DOGE boom happened a few years ago which was talking about a guy looking to sell his house and accept DOGE (I hope he didn't end up doing it seeing the price of the coin now).. Anyways, that tells me buying (or selling) real estate for crypto is definitely possible. My advice would be if you were really looking to acquire some real estate with Bitcoin then talk to a realtor in your area. Nobody would know better than them and if you're serious, they would try and find a way to make it work since they get a commission.

I have no idea, but what be curious to know the answer to this as well. Stable coins have to be backed by hard assets (cash, gold, silver..etc), don't they? I think that's what technically makes them "stable"...My guess is that it would have to be in the millions at least!

We're in a bear market right now and a token that launched in April has done nothing but go up with hardly zero retrancement? Come on now, lol...a $1,103,932,763 market cap and what, not hardly a single person has sold any? Along with that, a $1,103,932,763 market cap yet the token has done a measly $931,122 in volume over the last 24 hours? I can see dozens of other tokens ranked close to what QUINT is ranked at on CMC which do similar volume to that and still have only millions in market cap as opposed over a billion. I also find it a bit strange this project has over a billion dollars in market cap shown, but yet is only available on PancakeSwape.

As I said, I could always be wrong here and I hope it's a solid/legit project for anyone investing in it. But for me personally, I looked at it for less than 5 minutes and I already see things that just don't really add up. Takes me back to that old saying...If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck then guess what? It's probably a duck! Basically, if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.

I agree with what another person said in this thread...Sometimes I think the crypto market needs some regulation. Scamming is just too easy these days and it's really just getting annoying at this point. I feel bad for those who invested their hard earned money into this project and lost, but the worst part is, it won't be the last time this happens. Anyone who doesn't have morals or care about scamming people they will never see in person can just write up a smart contract, use services like those available here on these forums, wait a little while, and pull the rug to take off with some free cash. It's so easy I almost wonder why literally every other token isn't a rug pull...

What about something that can operate as a standalone layer 1 blockchain, or a layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum? That's what Chromia ($CHR) offers and that's one of the reasons I'm a big believer in their project. I just think their biggest issue is that they focus solely on creating a blockchain for gaming which is probably why they aren't as big as the other projects you have listed. But, of the ones listed in your poll I would have to say either ADA or AVAX. I still think Cardano is going to continue gaining popularity and usage as blockchains become more and more "mainstream." Both AVAX and ADA are smart contract based while DOT is not and SOL doesn't use them in traditional ways. It's all up to what you personally believe, but I personally think as blockchains becomes more mainstream and you start getting more businesses utilizing them it's all going to be all about the smart contracts...

Great observation VV.. I guess eBay's been doing this longer than I thought. What you said makes me wonder how eBay handles possible scamming (buying an NFT with someone else's paypal, for example) or returns. Regardless, I'm always happy to see big marketplaces that have a huge reach to people who might not be into crypto-related things yet. I don't shop much on eBay, but kudos to them for jumping on the train and getting NFTs in front of potential buyers who might not have otherwise known what they were!

Since when did eBay enter the NFT game? Just saw a big banner on their homepage advertising exclusive Wayne Gretzky NFTs which I thought was pretty cool. Best of all, most have already sold out! I don't see how anyone on the internet could not know what eBay is these days, so I consider this a pretty good thing in terms of making NFTs more available to the public and maybe even peek some new interest. If you don't know who Wayne Gretzky is, he's one of the best hockey players of all time. If you watch sports and live in a country that has hockey, then you know who The Great One is....

Your post says all of that stuff (calamities, pandemic diseases, wars, hunger) happens in your generation. I hate to tell you this, but that stuff has happened in numerous generations before yours! 

Those are some great tips and I think you've covered quite a few things I do when researching new projects as well. The work doesn't just stop once you've bought them, though. Unless it's a big project I follow up with projects I invest in..I follow them on social media, re-visit their websites from time to time, and do other things to try and make sure they're actually keeping active on the project and trying to expand/grow it. This is usually for small the smaller tokens I get into. If they're not listed someplace like Binance or Coinbase at the time I'm perfectly okay with that, but I at least want to see that something like that might be possible in the future.

As others have said, there are tons of coins out there which have their own blockchain.. XRP, ALGO, ADA, MATIC, BNB, and CHR would be just a few..

I loved seeing this post because I'm heavily invested in Chromia which is the blockchain this game runs on, along with others like Chain of Alliance and My Neighbor Alice. Personally, I believe crypto gaming will only expand in the future and even if this is just a quick pump, I'm happy to see another game on the Chromia blockchain getting more exposure (and hopefully new users!)

Great reminder! Just keep in mind, it's not just meme coins that can (and do) get delisted. Anytime I invest in a new token I always take steps like following them on Twitter, YouTube and Facebook. Stay updated with the projects you're invested in and make sure they are growing and actually putting time into expanding. Assuming you're investing in a legit project with developers who keep the wheels turning, you really should have to worry about delisting. That applies to meme coins as well, I believe. Just look at SHIB...they are developing things now to give their meme coin some utility and I don't think any exchanges will be delisting them anytime soon...

Bitcoin mostly. I did make some decent returns on SHIB last year as well...

I agree with what many others have said.. There's so much more to it than just "I'll take $40k and buy a nice miner." You need to think about everything that comes with the miner (good source for keeping it cool...electricity costs..maintenance..etc)..If you aren't very knowledgeable in miners then I would take the $40k and just buy one BTC with it. If you plan to go the mining route then don't just dive in with that kind of money. Do your research and due diligence so you know exactly what you're getting into. Just my 2 cents..

It can be done, but there is a reason most people fail. They lack the knowledge and discipline required to make a living by gambling - whether that be at the casino or stock/crypto markets. If either is something you want to do for a living then you better enjoy it so much you can eat, sleep and breathe it!
