That's not a real exchange... or at least is has nothing to do with the developers. They would have announced it. What kind of exchange loads its first page in chinese anyway... something is fishy about it. The first exchanges will be announced on the official site for sure so until that I wouldn't take anything seriously or use it. Just my 2c.

Make sure you are using the latest version. The old versions had some problems with wallets not used for a long time and would show the wrong password problem.

You can also download the block chain to block 200 000 and start the synch'ing from there.

A new business just announced that it accepts croat just a few days ago, also dev released new versions of desktop wallet, android wallet continues to work fine, on next exchange croat is the 6th suggestion out of 370 coins to be listed, dev is working on iOS and probably other exchanges, there is a telegram channel that is always active with more than 300 members so i am sure that the coin will be listed soon and it is here to stay!

The majority of the sudden new miners that showed up are speculative miners; I am sure they just mine around left and right whatever they can for a little bit.. they gather all the coins out there and sell whatever works.

Just because they moved to another coin it does not reflect the success of this project in any way because they should not have been mining here in the first place! Its not like they believe in the project and that's why they started mining..

It happened before but I still believe in this project because it has all the reasons to succeed! I believe in it because they seem to have a good solid technical base and roadmap to release new versions of CroatCore and iOS app. The apps they have (all major operating systems and Android) work very good so it is now up to the community to promote the coin and it will succeed for sure!

Also, the fact that they have a mobile wallet (that actually works too and is made just for croat not some generic wallet for all coins !!!) already shows that they are serious about the project, I noticed that all crappy coin projects never have mobile apps.. at least it is a criteria for me to believe in a project or not!! ... now waiting for exchanges as the last step!!

Yes, especially since I am also running CROATCore on Ubuntu and works flawlessly. I noticed that it is easy to get the port numbers wrong when you run the daemon and wallet manually so that is why it is easier to use the GUI as it sets up everything right without having to work with config files, port numbers, etc. That error with the node I think happens when the node is still synchronizing or the port number used with the wallet is wrong.

You shouldn't run the daemon or wallet on your own. Kill all those processes, try just running CROATCore (the GUI) and wait for the synch to complete. Even after the progress dialog is dismissed, check the "System" tab and wait until you don't see any more "ADDED" messages. Sometimes it still synchronizes even after the progress dialog disappears.

So, just run CROATCore and that's it... don't run any other executables on your own.

Also, if you have errors with connections to nodes, exit CROATCore, try deleting /home/your-user-name/.croat/p2pstate.bin and then run it again.

Try deleting the p2pstate.bin file.
