Hi guys, I just left an update in the zeitcoin members forum. I put it under my intro forum post username Dale. No idea if I've put it in the right place or anyone will see it. I have over 5 billion. just didn't get the memo that we were idiotic pacifists that like being whale food.
My word man, 5 billion! And I thought it was bad news owning over half of one. I personally think they are better distributed but I say that having more than most still. I've given a bit away.
I think I'm a bit out of whack with others opinions because I don't really care much about the price right now, because if it was high it would be underpinned by very little. Whereas when projects are started I would feel it much more justified. 5 billion though, wow, obscene. I'll buy them off you at one sat no probs ;o)
Just seen that the .1 Satoshi buy wall has shot up! I doubt it will reach that, hopefully that's a whale wasting their coins. Zeitcoin is a long term investment, it will see a few fluctuations I'd imagine whilst we get projects started. Mines gonna be a winner!
No it'll be there soon at this rate. Everyone seems to want to bargain shop at 1 & 2, which while thrifty will make it real easy for someone to smash the price down to 2/1 and hold it there for some while. I've just had another 124m dumped on me at 3...and believe me I don't need more. Bids at 2 seem just flat out silly at this point. Either defend the price or accept that it'll be back to 1 soon.
I'm cool with going to one sat, it up to ppl if they want to squander their coins. I mean that I doubt ppl will sell out to the one sat whale, if there is one. What's the point, it can only go up.
One of our pet cetaceans took 30Btc out of the buy-walls to scare the weak into cashing in.
Noticed that...very sneaky. Large bids disappeared at 3, 2, and 1. Now there are many tiny sells at 3, likely intended to induce a wave of panic selling. Some monodontidae seems to want this back down to 2/1, probably so they can enjoy the greater spread trade profits.
Edit: Reinforced the bid wall at 3. Someone or someones are continuing to pull bids. Help would be appreciated. This is plainly being manipulated lower intentionally.
Oops my bad!!! Just to clarify on me removing 28.4 BTC this morning from the 2 and 3 buy walls only. I put the coins there initially to prop up the buy wall to instil confidence in this coin as I am working on a project. I also wanted to wade off other whales from buying all cheap. I've now pulled them out so that ppl can buy at lower values and have a better spread. I already have half a billion so owning more is ridiculous and counterproductive to spreading adoption by others. Of coUrse whales could buy now but I did this weeks ago whilst they were still in the waters, now the are not. I think! Just wanted to explain to avoid rumours. Chinese whispers and all that.

As a self-appointed Zeitcoin team member I will be on this forum. Best avoid disconnecting with the community. New insight is interesting and google links to this page. When google opts for the forum, then it may it a better time to move. Until then let's engage with this thread and it's several hundred pages.

Is anyone noticing what's happening with BC. It's the first alt to be included at Coinkite. That's the really big victory in the sea of scams. Really happy for those who got in that one early. Zeit has the same potential.
I just sold 13000+ BC on mintpal I had in a wallet I forgot about (I mined at launch and fooked it off thinking it was shite), turns out it was worth 3.94 BTC just now. WTF! I sold it anyway and added to the buy wall on mintpal for Zeit. I'm gonna point my rigs to the multipool now.
Perhaps multipool will be a good option for you!

About 60 MH/s, got three machines bust up at present that I haven't had time to fix. All GPUS.

Certainly has more potential than Faircoin (FAC) which is being pumped to high heaven on back on BC success. Zeit is next.

Found it. It's around 10 billion initially. As dev took .5% as premine. Which was 50 million. So yeah Zeit needs bigger community and better website etc and we should be in FAC league soon.
I'm happy to help fund the work being done and help with marketing too. I have a team of developers that work for my company. I'm a silent partner now because I want to enjoy life I dislike the capitalist shite that never ends, always wanting more and more and more. Anyway, I can get them working projects in their spare time and they are shit hot application developers in responsive websites and what not. I've just been waiting to see the community grow a little before putting my time towards it. It's best to treat Zeitcoin as a business if we want to have businesses take it seriously. Also, I have a marketing database of about 600K recently checked email addresses in the UK. They would unsolicited of course but honestly, no one cares. I'm sure there is a monster amount that we can do together. I'm off round Europe in a month for 3 weeks so Zeitcoin could get an action team together, identify some roles and responsibilities and then start getting taken as seriously as we expect to. Right now though I'm off to the pub to get pissed and watch Liverpool smash City (fingers crossed!). Have an awesome day folks!!!

what's special about zeitcoin? And does that big pile of whales in the sell order book on Mintpal worry anyone?
Personally I think it's backed up by significant ideology, which in no small part pays credence to decentralisation of power, the main strategy of crypto currency. Zeitgeist is well known throughout the free of our world that know we are enslaved, particularly now by debt. Again personally I have a project underway that I wish to link with zeitcoin and zeitgeist, such a project will have effects throughout our media and the real world. Hundreds of pages back on this forum I mentioned this. Right now is important and simple strategies we are battling out to get noticed by investors, the same strategies as the other more intelligent coins. The one huge difference is the size of the number of supporters of the zeitgeist movement that still have yet to hear of their new coin. It could be said that having a coin for zeitgeist goes against the movement but quite the contrary, as anything that redistributes wealth from the establishment helps us to achieve momentum in re-establishing that collectively and with belief we can regain our freedom. It only takes the flap of a butterfly's wings you know... hurricanes and all that.

Not sure I followed all that, but it seems to me it's the ask wall at mintpal that will hold zeitcoin down. The price at cryptsy will roughly mirror that. While it's currently a little cheaper to buy on cryptsy for ltc at current exchange rates, the fees are higher there and the ltc/btc price is pretty volatile. Aiming the pool to buy from mintpal is the right choice imo.
I've got 24 MH/s on Vertcoin at the minute. Equivalent is about 60 MH/s on the multipool, is it worth me switching? My electricity bill is about £85 to £90 a day.

Right this second, I would say definitely because vertcoin diff is really high, the price is fairly meh atm, and scrypt-n is so much less efficient. Whether it's better longterm or not is a difficult question as there are many constantly changing variables. As long as wafflepool mines what's most profitable I suspect you'd be better off with zeitpool.
Ok cool I'll get all my machines reconfigured now. Just noticed 10 of them are asleep! Bet my business partner has unplugged the Internet cable in his house AGAIN. See what happens, I'm in negative equity with vert at the moment anyway.

I just wanted to update to the latest wallet v0.1.0.2 - as I still used an earlier one. However all my balance disappeared (only the staked ones show up 3.5 Mill.), and in no circumstances it rescans the block chain and stays out of synch - with my xxx Million ZEIT balance missing. I am kind of freaking out. How do I get my wallet synched and my balance showing up??? Please help.
By the way, I followed the guide on the official Zeit website; I deleted the old ZEIT folder, copied the wallet.dat back, added the nodes,... I opened and closed the app itself also, but nothing gets it to synch the block chain.
Edit: I got it working - I deleted everything from the ZEIT folder except the wallet.dat, peers.dat, and zeitcoin.conf
