Re: Which is better store of value in 2025?
by
DavorinBitWave
on 03/01/2025, 07:44:46 UTC
Bitcoin is often compared to gold as a store of value but which one will come out on top in the coming years? As inflation concerns grow, could bitcoin become the leading hedge against inflation or will gold remain the preferred option for investors seeking stability? W/ bitcoin's volatility and regulatory uncertainty, is it still a better source of store of value than gold or is the classic precious metal still the safest bet? Where bitcoin and gold stand in 2025?

I think both bitcoin and gold have their place but they're very different. Bitcoin is exciting and has huge growth potential but the volatility and regulatory uncertainty make me nervous sometimes. Gold feels like the safer, more traditional option, especially when it comes to stability during economic downturns. If it were me, i'd probably go with a mix of both. Bitcoin for long term potential and gold for peace of mind.

Re: What will Bitcoin price plunge to in bear season?
by
DavorinBitWave
on 03/01/2025, 03:29:21 UTC
I am seeing so much optimism among Bitcoinist on this forum and we are all hoping to make profit before the bull market comes to an end. After which, we will be looking to gather into bans (our portfolio) again, so my question is, what are you speculations about the lowest price of Bitcoin during the bull season. Share your opinion so that we will not start DCAing at the Top and feeling bad at the bottom. At what price should we start DCAing in expectation for the next halving bull Run?

i think it is tough to predict the exact bottom during a bull market retrace but historically bitcoin often pulls back 30-50% after hitting a peak. My strategy would be to start DCAing gradually once the hype cools and the price stabilizes near strong support levels.

For 2025, i think focusing on solid, long term growth while exploring rewards like staking and yield farming could be a smart move. I'm also keeping an eye on new earning opportunities like DeFi and crypto events. It's all about finding the right balance between risk and reward while staying informed

Re: Which is more profitable, trading Bitcoin or mining Bitcoin?
by
DavorinBitWave
on 02/01/2025, 00:09:35 UTC
Bitcoin mining and trading both have their unique benefits and drawbacks ,They both involve risks. which do you think is more profitable  Sad

Mining involves using special equipment to earn bitcoin by solving complex problems. It requires a large upfront investment and high electricity costs and your profits depend on bitcoin's price and mining difficulty.

Trading involves buying and selling bitcoin based on price changes. It is more flexible but also riskier because bitcoin's price can change quickly.

In short, mining needs a big investment while trading depends on your ability to predict market trends. Your choice depends on how much money and time you want to invest

Will Bitcoin Ever Be Used for Everyday Purchases or Is It Just a Store of Value?

We've heard a lot about BTC being "digital gold" or a store of value but I am wondering–will it ever actually be used for everyday transactions like buying a coffee or groceries? With the rise of bitcoin debit cards and platforms accepting bitcoin, it's slowly becoming more usable but will it be ever be adopted globally for day to day purchases or is it destined to remain a store of value in the long run? What do you think will be the key factors that determine whether bitcoin can make that transition?

Re: What’s that GameFi project that got you all up ?
by

GameFi has become a risky space and I genuinely have doubts about many projects. Too many have promised big things but ended up disappointing or collapsing often leaving investors with nothing. The reliance on NTFd and tokens can feel more like a cash grab than actual innovation in gaming. Even with some initial buzz, it's hard to trust a project in GameFi without seeing long term stability and real value. It might be better to stay cautious and wait for more solid proof before getting involved.

Re: Robert Kiyosaki then predicted bitcoin to $350k
by

on 27/12/2024, 07:48:00 UTC
Yesterday was passing through and reading some interesting news on twitter (x) I came across the tweet of Robert Kiyosaki, the Author of "Rich Dad Poor Dad" tweeting his concerns about bitcoin to hit $350k by 2025.

https://talkimg.com/images/2024/12/19/DRDya.png

I want to know, is this tweet specifically for his interest as he is already holding or what?
Let discuss why he though that amount is possible next year. But then another respond to his tweet got my attention which i also needs to show here.

https://talkimg.com/images/2024/12/19/DROKo.png

Do you think we have another bitcoin critic?

Considering the unpredictable nature of crypto, it is hard to say if that's realistic. While it could happen, there's a lot of volatility and uncertainty in the market so I'd take it with a grain of salt. I think it's always good to stay informed and cautious especially with investments in something as unprdeictable as bitcoin

Re: My advice on investing in Bitcoin

Bitcoin is definitely an exciting investment opportunity and its recent performance shows there's potential for significant returns. For newcomers who's considering to jumping in, I'd say it's great idea to start small but don't expect much gain. Keep your investment and allow it to benefit from growth. If you're experienced, holding bitcoin directly might give you more control and could be more rewarding long term. it's important to stay informed and stick to your strategy. Bitcoin can be volatile but with a careful approach, it can be a positive addition to your portfolio

Re: Ethereum seems undervalued
by
DavorinBitWave
on 26/12/2024, 09:18:08 UTC
Compared to Bitcoin, Ethereum seems undervalued. I am not sure if I made a mistake by holding Ethereum. Monitoring for a long time, but it doesn't want to go up. Though Bitcoin pumped a couple of x, Ethereum still seems to not want to move. I am unable to find any valid reasons why ETH is not moving. What do you think? Is Ethereum potentially better to hold or move to another altcoin? Just for information, I don't like to hold shitcoins except top altcoins. Because I have experience of loss in a big amount by holding shitcoins. What are your thoughts?

Ethereum's price movements can be affected by market cycles, investor sentiment and external factors like regulation or broader economic conditions. Bitcoin tends to lead market trends because it is seen as the gold standard of crypto but Ethereum has its own value proposition due to its technology and growing adoption.

It's great to hear you're gaining confidence and knowledge about bitcoin. The recent bull season definitely taught many valuable lessons about patience and timing in the market. I agree, it's important not to rush into selling as the price can always fluctuate. Holding bitcoin for the long terms seems to be wise strategy especially with how unpredictable the market can be.

Best of luck when you start investing, patience will likely pay off in the future!

Re: Do Bitcoin mining still works after the last halving?
by
DavorinBitWave
on 23/12/2024, 11:24:29 UTC
bitcoin mining remains profitable only for those who have access to cheap electricity and can afford high performance hardware. For most individual miners, profitability may be slim unless bitcoin's price increases significantly or mining difficulty decreases. it's important to calculate potential returns using mining profitability calculators to get a better sense of whether it's worth investing based on your local conditions.

Re: Telegram mining Apps and games, A Blessing or Doom?
by
DavorinBitWave
on 23/12/2024, 07:13:53 UTC
Telegram made it easier for people to get involved in crypto by offering a fun and accessible way to mine or earn crypto. This could help awareness and bring more people into the crypto space which is great for adoption.

But I am also concerned that they might be causing some disruption. The simplicity of these apps can attract people looking for quick profits wihtout fully understanding thee underlying technology or risks. This could lead to misunderstandings about what crypto is really about and might even contribute to volatility in the market. So while they're pushing adoption in one way, they might be steering things in the wrong direction in the long run.

Re: How to get a coin to a wallet
by
DavorinBitWave
on 20/12/2024, 06:42:41 UTC
You'll need the private key that is stored on the coin. The coin usually has a qr code or private key printed on it and you can use those to import the bitcoin into you wallet.

Here's how to do it:
1. Find the private key: this is often behind a tamper evident sticker or hidden under a scratch off area
2. Open electrum
3. Import the private key: click wallet -> private keys -> import. If it is qr code, click qr code icon next to the import button.
4. Check you balance: this is to know if you actually have 0.001BTC

There are even plenty of youtube videos that walk you through the process. Just search import private key Electrum.

Re: Man who falsely claimed to be bitcoin creator sentenced

The courts have made it clear that Craig Wright is NOT Satoshi Nakamoto. I can't help but wonder what his endgame is. It's like he's determined to rewrite history even if it means dragging out legal battles he's already lost. But why keep fighting when it's so clear to most people that he's not the real creator of bitcoin? Is it all about ego, money or maybe even some deeper need for recognition? He's just hurting his own credibility by continuing with these lawsuits.

Re: Bitcoin, a digital Gold? I see it as inappropriate!
by
DavorinBitWave
on 19/12/2024, 08:51:16 UTC
Calling bitcoin "digital gold" doesn't capture the full picture. While gold is physical and needs to be stored and transported, bitcoin is digital, decentralized and can be transferred globally in minutes without needing intermediaries. It's also programmable allowing for things like smart contracts and decentralized finance which gold can't offer. So while bitcoin and gold share some characteristics, i believe bitcoin is a whole new asset class that goes beyond just being a store of value. It's more about revolutionizing the way we handle money and value.

Re: Making Altcoin Mining Profitable – My Two Key Tips

Yeah, i've been thinking the same about mining–it's just not as easy to make it work at home anymore especially with electricity prices here in Europe. Hosting services like oneminers and circlehash are starting to look like the way to go. They handle the headaches like maintenance and repairs and honestly, not having to deal with the noise and heat sounds like a dream.

Bitcoin was about freedom–giving people control of their money and breaking away from systems that keep them trapped but now it looks like it's becoming just another playground for the rich.

But i dont think all hope is lost. There are still projects and communities fighting for the people who started this movement–those focused on privacy, decentralization and financial freedom. Maybe we need to refocus on supporting them and remembering why we're here in the first place.

Re: Can Bitcoin surpass Gold?
by
DavorinBitWave
on 17/12/2024, 07:24:33 UTC
I can totally see both sides of the argument.

On one hand, BTC's potential for huge frowth is hard to ignore especially with how it's been gaining popularity and breaking new ground. It has clear advantages like being easy to transfer and divide which gold can't match.

But on the other hand, gold has stood the test of time. It's been a go-to store of value for centuries and people trust it especially in times of crisis.

It's really about balancing both in a portfolio and understanding their respective roles.

Re: Microstrategy will be joining the Nasdaq 100 index, effective Dec. 23
by
DavorinBitWave
on 17/12/2024, 05:30:48 UTC
I think this is huge news not just for microstrategy but for BTC too. Microstrategy's inclusion in the Nasdaq 100 feels like a big step toward normalizing bitcoin in traditional finance since thee company's so heavily tied to it.

I mean, more exposure to microstrategy could indirectly highlight bitcoin to institutional investors who might've been on the fence before.
