Re: Is SCHARMBECK Shutting Down?
by

Could this company be any more of a joke? What professional company creates a lottery with it's shares (none in the history of the stock market)? What professional company releases no formal statement on the internal affairs of it's members. Instead we have to rely on:

A ) A twitter post that ends up being pulled

B ) The fallout of the dispute being posted in an IRC channel

Are you fucking kidding me? In what world is this acceptable?

If this stock exchange (crypto-stocks) was based in America, Scharmbeck would be reeking with SEC violations. How convenient that it's not.

I've been a supporter of WDC since the very beginning, and I have never been more disgusted. These people are RUINING this coin with their un-professional behavior, and their un-abashed treatment of their shareholders. Makes me fucking sick to my stomach.

The core developer of WDC is running this shit show. I honestly don't want to be a part of WDC anymore. It is an un-professional, childsplay of crypto-currency. Congratulations on taking one of the greatest technologies ever created, and shitting all over it.

We're really pleased to be able to be a part of this and sincerely appreciate WorldCoin stepping up to do it!

As President of The Water Project - the charity who will be using the funds raised to implement a water project in Kenya - it's encouraging when a whole new community of folks like you take the initiative to get involved.

More personally, I've been watching the crypto-currency movement closely over the past few months. While I'd still consider myself a newbie of sorts, I'm very keen to kick off some deeper discussions, both within the crypto-coin world and in our own constituency. I'm fascinated by the potential of this technology to change how we work, serving the poor and enabling economic development.

I've put together an article at https://thewaterproject.org/welcome-cryptos.php that I'm sharing here first.  The audience for this is admittedly varied, so skim over what you know above the video.

I'd love some feedback, additions or corrections here and/or in the comments.

I think there's huge potential for cryptos in the development sector I'm a part of... much beyond the generosity you are already a part of through Worldcoin.

Thank you all.

-- Peter

Awesome, thank you so much for your hard work and great deeds! Welcome to the crypto-community!

Also, thank you for working with our Worldcoin team!

You guys are doing an amazing job! I've always wanted to participate in charitable efforts in Africa, because I think that part of the world needs some of the most help...

The Worldcoinwell has just made it THAT easy for me to do that. Incredible.... and to think I was mining this coin in the ZERO HOUR. Can't believe the job you guys are doing supporting this coin, just blows me away. Keep up the great work, and I'll be sending some WDC to the well tonight when I get home Cheesy.

My only advice would be to not use derogatory terms for describing the FED, WU etc. Objectively explaining improvements over the established system is enough. Sure you can throw a joke at them but don't call them crooks, imo.

I disagree.  There's no reason to sugarcoat anything.  We need more people who aren't afraid to "call a spade a spade".

Damn straight brother!

Just concerns on shipping to USA, and my shipping address not appearing on my order.

It's actually not as bad as coinchoose says it is.

Mining WDC, you get about 75-95% of what the calculators say, depending on hashrate.

Coinchoose has it at like 67%.

to me it looks like wdc won and has the thumbs up! not dgc..

It was not WDC vs DGC it was 2 seperate votes, both had equal opportunity. If both had had more yes than no votes, both would have been added. And thats not share holders, it shares, so, in theory, if someone owned 20% of the shares, would they control 20% of the vote?

ahhh, now that makes more sense Smiley. I'm sure there are a select few with the majority of shares.

DGC has passed the Vircurex shareholder vote.

Thank you to the shareholders and the digitalcoin community.

Re: CoinChoose - alternative site to show respective profitability of the alt coins
by

For Worldcoin adjusted profitability:

With the new higher difficulty, and somewhat stable hashrate, we are now seeing anywhere from 75%-95% of a return on estimated rewards. This number fluctuates mostly on network hashrate and a few other factors.

The WorldCoin dev will be releasing a patch to help with some of the mining parameters. We are waiting for the patch before we release any official numbers.

Sal, currently on coinchoose.com, we are at 67% adjusted profitability. I think a more fair number, for now would be around 80%, up to you Smiley.

-Thanks

Thanks Sal.

Still doing more testing, but it looks like we are getting about 90% or more of estimated returns. We concluded the 60% number when the difficulty was at it's early phases. (hence a lot of variance, orphans, stales etc.)

thanks again

I don't see how coinchoose can change it to 60% because one person creates a topic on worldcoinforum about it claiming to speak on behalf of everyone.

At the very least make a forum poll and see the results from the community. Undoubtedly the amount received is less than 100% but I would place it in the 80-90% range.

I agree it seems a little quick to just make the change. When we calculated the 60%, it was multiple miners and pool operators that had agreed on the number. Again, this was in the very low difficulty days, and im pretty sure that number has changed to 90% since then. Running more tests to confirm, will take a couple days.

Thanks DeadEye, I agree with both of you.  Seems unfair and reduces interest because it looks like it's failing.

I prefer coinwarz.com tbh

the 60% may have just been a result of the low difficulty. Most miners are claiming it's now about 90%. I'm doing more tests to see if that is correct on my end. Should have results in a couple of days.
