Re: DO you think china was right to shut down Bitcoin exchanges and ICO?

No, China failed. Why do they think it is thrie business to decide if such investitions are ok for me or not. They said that they are protecting people against ICO scam and so on. People are clever enought to decide themselves.

Just imagine selling your $259,900 house for 43BTC and 2 Months in street.

and after just 2 months sell 43BTC for $498198.

Again buying the previous also you will be in profit of $472298.

would you try this technique.

Not bad. Nice plan. But I need step zero: to get $259,900 house first.

Re: Bitcoin in China
by

Till January, 2017 China's share of bitcoin market equaled to almost 95 per cent. After the government took measures the share dropped to 10-15 per cent. However, right now a lot of articles are being issued predicting China to remain the leader. How's it possible?

I can suppose that chinese officials are just developing legal base for cryptocurrency. As far as I know mining is not under pressure there. Exchanges were pressed hard. And ICO. I bet officials are just thinking how to take it everything under control, how to take taxes and so on. Once they solve that, they will allow to trade and China will retern its possitions.

Re: How to recognize scam
by
Dendy69
on 05/12/2017, 10:45:46 UTC
Hello everyone!

Today I've read a couple of articles and I've noticed that the most people are used to label each ICO as a scam. That is not fair, I know. Especially when you work in a startup launching ICO and do your best to make a project successful. However, having worked in ICO industry I learned how to recognize a scam just from one conversation with a Founder. I don't know how to explain this feeling. Probably, my subconscious translates knowledge, but I could not say a have a large experience.

So I decided to make a list of scam signs: (and this is just my own opinion)

- A founder and a team are not open.

Talking with a founder is always nice. They are usually full of energy and ready to talk about their project for hours. No matter how tired he/she is: when one is asking about a project, a founder starts talking about it with eyes burn with a fire. No matter who you are. When a founder deflects, tries to escape and avoids it makes you think that he/she just can't tell you anything important. What is more, it is crucial talking to a team. When a team member doesn't know how to answer a simple question about a product, it is also a bad sign.

In the case of the lack of opportunity to visit an event and to talk to a team, you always can contact a founder and a team online. They should be open and answer patiently all your difficult questions. Even if you ask it every minute.

- Spending a lot of money on marketing isn't always show professionalism.

Just think. A company needs ICO to raise money for a company development. Isn't it a little bit queerly when an unknown company is too fancy. How? And Why? Why do they need ICO if they already have money on expensive advertisement? I don't know too  Huh

- You know nothing about a founder. And you cant find any information about him/her.

Always google the founder. Always. And now I'm not talking about his/her FB page. I'm talking about his experience, education, photos, events he took part in. A founder should not be a mysterious person who came from nowhere. His background should be open to everyone.

- They don't have a readymade product.

Let's make a sober recognition. The competition is high. In the end of 2017 - the beginning of 2018 you just can't appear with an idea and ask for money. You need to develop your product before ICO. It should not be an amazing one. It could be just prototype. But investors need something real. They need to touch and try your product. However, just 16% of all ICO has a product.

And what do you think about it? What are your signs of a scam?

Vitalik Buterin has good scam filter. He, on one of conferences, just said: "Dear scammers, don't use ICO for your bad scam projects, please."

So. Do the same. You see ICO? Just have a contact with them and ask if they are scammers? If they answer no, everything is ok. You can participate))

Re: You want to be a millionaire? if you own 0.01 btc you already are
by
Dendy69

The title says it all get 0.01 btc and you are on ur way to becoming a millionaire, you already are one if you do not know the true value of bitcoins, cough cough Satoshis.  Forget about owning a full bitcoin, you want to earn satoshis, which we call the units of 0 and 1 or Mbits milibitcoins.  Soon a few years from now 1 satoshi will be the equivalent of 1 USD or Euro if money is still around. You know yes most of you missed the billion dollar train but still you have time to have a million dollars worth of satoshis.  so if you do the math owning 0.10,000,000 = 10 million USD  so if you own 0.01 that makes it 1 million dollars.

You are wondering why I am saying bitcoin is worth 100 million dollars right?  We have a long way to go.  Cough cough, Many factors that contribute the value of 1 bitcoin being worth 100 million dollars.  Well Bitcoin is not just a local or gov owned store of value, its competing with Fiat currency all over the world, from USD, to the YEN.  There are many factors I can shoot out but one major one is that Bitcoin is becoming mainstreamed and the fact there is probably going to be 16 million bitcoins in circulation, why I said 16 mil?  because they are probably around 5 million bitcoins lost.  If you want to add to this topic any more factors that reason why you are already sitting on a million dollars, please be free to do so.

Edit: It seems a few of you are agreeing and few are not.  I remember a time the few of you said the same thing about 10,000 USD a bitcoin.  I remember when they said that about 1,000 USD.  Guess what they are all kicking their arses now.

Here is another factor to add that Bitcoin a World Wide curreny that is competing with fiat.

Okay. If I will be millionaire owning 0.01 btc, where is going to be Roger Ver? And Winklevoss brothers?)) Bros have 100 000 btc. So 100 000 x $100 000 000 = 10 trillion. Trillionaires?))) What are you smoking? Grin

like my thread is saying i would like to know any opinions and assertions on durity of btc as leader in the land.
thank you

For about two years bitcoin is going to be a leader. Reason of bitcoin leading is, first of all, it is like a benchmark of cryptoworld. So all amateurs who decided to invest in that cryptohype are choosing bitcoin. In about two years situation is going to change.

Since the total number of bitcoin is fixed, so the value of bitcoin will keep grow, and it's price will keep grow also. So will there a price cap for bitcoin?

The price will grow till the bubble go off. Plain and simple. Aftter that< i think, we will have another coin which is going to be leader. Not bitcoin. We now see bitcoin leading because all the newcomers think that all crypto is bitcoin. They don't know anything about alts, so invest in btc only. In future situation is going to change.

Re: Is 50% correction on BTC possible?
by

With the current continuing rise of Bitcoin price, we expect a correction coming soon. Do you it can reach around 50%? Give us your thought and own prediction.

50% is not a correction. It is something greater. If somethink fundamental happens, than yes - 50% possible. For example, Bitfinex and Tether scam. But I personally don't expect this. I think we will see 15k+ in expectation of CME launch future on btc.

I hear from many sources that btc is used for trading much more than it is for goods and services; doesn't that make it an asset ??
and is that necessarily a bad thing ?? and what can we do about it as a community ??

It is an asset, for sure. And yes, it is not bad thing Smiley It is really inconvinient to pay with bitcoin nowadays. And, I bet, It will not be better in future. Other coins could serve better.

Bitcoin and other coins are bubble. Look at that temper of growth. Look at exponent growth. It can't be "natural". It is absolutely speculative. And also crypto is stiil not secured by anything phisical. What is the base of bitcoin? Code. Blockchain technology. That's all. So it is a bubble Grin

There are a lot f reheasals about potential scam of bitfinex and tether. I personally don't believe that. They are too big and too professional in my view.

But if Bitfinex and tether are scam, it will be a great panic on the market. I would like to buy some crypto on low levels.

Re: Why is bitcoin the most popular cryptocurrency?
by
Dendy69
on 21/11/2017, 10:03:34 UTC
I believe that they're popular mainly because well it was the first of all cryptocurrencies to be made. Honestly most of the other coins are scams and greedy ways that the developers make money. The only other coin I can think of that isn't a scam are dogecoins! What do you think?

You are right for sure! People who don't care about cryptocurrency and financial makrets at all could hear about bitcoin from somewhere accidently. These people will not care about cryptocurrency in future, but they already know a little bit about BTC. In mass media we are not being informed about altcoins. I personally paid attention on BTC only when I visited crypto exchange for the first time in 2016. I heard about BTC, but had no any info that there are another cryptoassets. Thats why BTC is #1.

Re: Countries Banning Crypto Currencies
by
Dendy69
on 21/11/2017, 09:41:06 UTC
Unfortunately, many counties have banned and will be banning the use of crypto currency.

So far, these countries have banned crypto:
Vietnam
Bolivia
Ecuador
Kyrgyzstan
Bangladesh
Nepal

These countries however do not have a major influence on crypto as they are third world countries and most investors/influences come from the West/China.

Do you guys think as it becomes more of a reality that crypto is the future of currencies, more countries will ban the use due to fear of losing control? Do you think as it becomes the normal form of currency, these countries will lift the ban?

What do you think?

I think that if cryptocurrency popularity will grow with the same temper as it goes now, governments will have to either find out how to control crypto and take taxes from it or ban it. Because if there is no control on crypto and no possibility to take taxes economy as it exists now will be ruined.
