do not think that im going to have a loved ones but I'm saving bitcoins for my pension :g
You might be living on your own right now but if you decide to have a family of your own, you would have to look for extra income that will help in the daily expenses and for saving for the future. This is where bitcoin could come in handy as merely holding is already a very good investment strategy.

There are already a lot of information that can be gained here in the forums, but if you feel like you've learned much here already, the worldwide web is a good place to search for whatever additional learnings you wish to know. And with things changing constantly, better to subscribe to news feeds and newsletters that keep you updated of the latest happenings in the crypto currency world.

Re: 2018 NBA Season

Shit happen on Celtics, too bad Hayward got injured. This will change their season and sorry for Kyrie obviously Cavs will win their first game. Anyway, it's still early, there's a lot of time to recover from his injury. Much better it happen earlier rather than getting injured before or during playoffs.
the game only have 3 points difference it seems that celtics got something to show off, hayward will recover and this team can develop more talents, if they can play against the super team like this so its possible still that they can regain the best play offs record just like last year but like what you've its still too
early, next game is also interesting to watch its a super team against its rival super team, maybe houston got some kick here.
Congrats to cavs for their first win against celtics but this is very memorable for gordon hayward and for the rest of boston, early at first quarter he got injured but the rest of the squad do not give up and show up how strong their roster. I think they can be a new threat for the power house team in the western,
I want to see boston in the playoffs and wishing hayward can play before the playoffs to make their team much stronger and they have potential to win the eastern conference finals.
Good for Boston to keep in step with their rivals even after losing Gordon Hayward early in the game, and possibly for the rest of the season. That injury might even be a blessing in disguise for the young guys to play more minutes and become better players. Lebron’s still a beast but the Celtics should only get better as they adjust to each other as the season progresses.

Re: Difference between Bitcoin and real money?
by

on 03/10/2017, 23:53:25 UTC
Bitcoin is as real as the money that we are using everyday. The physical aspect is where the big difference comes in. Admittedly, there is still a long way to go before bitcoin becomes a mainstream currency but we will get there slowly, when most people get to see the benefits of using digital currencies instead of our traditional fiat money. Would be nice to use both side by side or vice versa.

Continue buying for as long as it is still in your comfort zone. We still have a long way to go for it to reach five digits, so that's a big window being presented to us to accumulate as much as we can. But along the way, there will always be pullbacks that put the price at a discount for a brief period of time so that must also be taken advantage of.

Here in my country, for a person to start investing in stocks, one must have a starting capital of roughly $100. The same goes for mutual funds. If we compare it to bitcoin where you can buy even the smallest fraction, the advantage can be seen clearly in favor of bitcoin. Also, you don’t have to submit too much paper works during the application process. With bitcoin, everything can be done online, whenever wherever.

Re: what you think about bitcoin in like 5 years?
by

Let’s see. In a span of 9 months, we have seen the price swing from $900 to $5,000, back and forth the price went going as low as $1,800 and now going back to above $4,000. There was also a split the resulted in the birth of bitcoin cash. With another split looming, bitcoin gold might be the new baby. This is what I am going to expect from bitcoin in next coming months and years. More splits to come. More swings due to news coming from different parts of the world. Makes me wonder how many versions of bitcoin are going to come and go in that span of time.

Re: Japan Endorses 11 Bitcoin Exchanges
by
Doms
on 02/10/2017, 05:16:57 UTC
This just goes to show that bitcoin would continue to be in demand in Japan while its neighbouring countries are still figuring how to deal with exchanges. Must have been because of the explosion in the demand in bitcoin ever since it was recognised as a legal tender back in April, with many big and well-known merchants making it known that they are in full support of accepting bitcoin. And with the demand still on the rise, we can expect that more exchanges are going to submit their application to have a share of this multi-billion dollar business.

Setting up that business might be easy but getting it running profitably would be the challenge. You would be competing with big players with huge funds and a big client base. For you to take a slice of the exchange pie would mean having to find innovative ways to attract potential clients. Also, try not be to a business that deals solely with exchanging. Add other services that people are looking for just so you would have an edge over your competitors. Once you've figure things out, promos and giveaways every now and then wouldn't hurt your chances of making it a profitable business that can run for a long time.

Re: Breaking: Virtual Currencies Expected to be Regulated in China on October 1st

on 02/10/2017, 01:50:27 UTC
This is not surprising at all considering that the laws have been rather easy on the exchanges the last few years. Rather than banning bitcoin and all other crypto currencies, regulation is the best way to go moving forward. The same might be the case for all other countries where bitcoin usage is increasing in volume by the day. This could also mean less money laundering activities that use crytpo currencies as vehicles for such acts.

Re: What if another altcoin surpasses BTC in value?

Investors go where there is the most money to make. If for some reason, a new version of bitcoin comes out after every split, that might not be good for bitcoin. The decentralization aspect is being taken advantage by some just to make some money that results in splits. Only time will tell if bitcoin maintains its hold of the number one crypto currency and people would be the ultimate judge on where it goes from there.

Re: Bitcoin ban in South Korea
by

South Korea nowadays is one of the countries where a big chunk of bitcoin transactions happen. Banning bitcoin there would just be counter productive as they are only starting to embrace bitcoin for what it is. It would also have affected the price negatively but seeing that the price is steadily increasing again, seems that everything is fine and dandy in South Korea.

You might have to wait longer for your wish to come true as bitcoin is being treated by many more as an investment rather than a currency. Some merchants have already considered accepting bitcoin as payment but their feasibility studies doesn't give them a positive result. Well that is for now as the infrastructure won't allow it yet and the transaction congestion might be another factor.

I read about something like this in an Australian elementary school being attended by kids from lower income class. It educates them about how crypto currencies can help them improve their lives by relying on technological advances. I think they have also created their own coin in the process to better understand how these things work.

Re: 2016/17 NBA Season
by

on 30/09/2017, 08:16:45 UTC
The current NBA MVP Russel Westbrook has signed a new five year contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder in a deal totaling $205 million in all he is going to earn $235 million in the entirety of the contract, his contract extension has overshadowed his former teammate Kevin Durant's birthday which is today. I am sure this is no coincidence at all.

I think he deserves everything. This is the result of his last season's performance. He will carry this team once again but with the help of PG and Melo behind. Happy to see Westbrook got to this point of his career. He should thank Durant for that. If Durant didn't leave the team, then he can't performed the way he shows last year. And signing a big contract will surely inspired him to give another best this season. But he need to cap everything off with a nice ring around his finger. And it would be really good if it is against Durant and the Golden State Warriors. OKC-GSW for the West Finals.
They are a better team now with great addition and to see Westbrook playing again with his best will surely entertain us fans.
He get what he deserved for and with that big salary, I am sure he will be the most motivated man in the team, he can lead this team to step on the bigger stage and actually I have high hopes for the Thunder this season, I hope they can blend well and will compete with the Spurs or warriors.
This season will be a crucial one for the Thunder. If they can find a good balance with the trio of Westbrook, George, and Anthony, they might finish in the second spot in the West and could persuade PG and Melo to stay a little longer. Meanwhile, San Antonio would still be good but they clearly have to trade away LaMarcus Aldridge and find somebody else who fits better with their system. Houston could be good enough to finish 3rd, while Minnesota would finally find itself playing in the post season after a long long time.

Criminals would take advantage of whatever they can so they can continue with their activities. I am sure that many of them have explored the possibility of doing transactions anonymously to hide their identities. Many governments would definitely take actions once these criminal activities financed by crypto currencies become rampant and banning them could be one of the options when push come to shove.

Re: IS THERE ANY POSSIBILITY OF A PRICE REDUCTION FOR FUTURE BITCOIN
by

on 29/09/2017, 07:52:30 UTC
Looking at the charts in both the short term and long term, one can see that the price moves up and down from time to time. Certain factors affect the way the price behaves, like news from different parts of the world or just within the community. But as we have all seen, the price seems to bounce back after each pullback and the price is just going to continue break new all time highs in the years to come.

With that amount of money, I would suggest that you invest it in a gambling site that would give you a small monthly profit. There are many gambling sites that you can search that are already established and you wouldn't have to go through all the hassle of setting up your own business and the risk of going bankrupt can be minimized.

Different age groups have different risk tolerance levels. If might not be wise for a very old woman to still invest her money on speculative asets like bitcoin. If for a reason the price slides down by more than 50%, it might take a while for her to recover her losses. And time is what she is lacking considering she should just be spending her life enjoying her remaining years.
