Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2024/2025

Liverpool still doesn't want to rest even after making all these good signings. It's rumoured that they want Alexander Isak next this is after they have secured the signing of Ekitike. Although, no official bid or offer has been made yet so far but they are keeping an eye on him. The icing on the cake is that, Isak has informed Newcastle of his desire to leave the club this summer according to reports.
The speculations surrounding proposed signing of Aleksander Isak to Liverpool I initially thought would seize after the English Premier League champions signed Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt but it seems the club management have a contrary plan. There's been strong reports that Liverpool still wants to sign the Newcastle United striker and I'm curious to know if they'll want to spend much in landing another striker after reportedly paying more £90 million for Hugo Ekitike.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot I know will want to go all out to retain the English Premier League title next season and if he succeeds to sign Isak, stopping him will be very difficult if you ask me

This morning, I read a report on popular sports journalist Fabrizio Romano's page that "Alejandro Garnacho is one of the main options on Chelsea's list". The Argentine winger I know fell out with the club manager last season and publicly made statements that suggests he wants a move away from Old Trafford but for club like Chelsea who are currently going for the best players, I doubt they'll prioritize Garnacho at the moment. Below is my conclusion of about the report:

Is he a good player? Yes

Does he have issues with Amorim? Yes

Is he on Man United's unwanted player lists? Yes

Is he an option for Chelsea? Yes

Is he a priority for Chelsea? I doubt.

I no gree for wetin the OP talk for here because me self na Nigerian so I know my people very well. The truth be say Nigerians are the most daring group of people you can see in any part of the world but e get big disadvantage wey we dey get and that's the fact that we no sabi take our time to study something and that's why many of us who knew about crypto in it's early stages been no invest that time — not because they didn't have the mental strength to take risk but they didn't know much and were reluctant enough to learn. Another thing wey kill naira people spirit for crypto be say people being dey use am scam many Nigerians even when the knowledge of crypto was limited then so plenty Nigerian people come think say crypto investment na something wey carry big risk wey go too difficult for person to invest and take profits at the end. Na when wey been know about crypto at it's early stages begin dey collect better profits and benefits wey some Nigerians begin put eyes for ground learn am well.

Re: Safely storing bitcoins
by

I was reading a news article saying that bitcoins will not be safe once we have powerful quantum computers. Is there a good alternative way to store bitcoins safely in such a situation  ?
The quantum computers threat I learnt is real but not urgent. I read about how Bitcoin developers are already researching address types that could be quantum-resistant and that I think  is reassuring enough for us not to panic.

For now, smart storage practices like to store your BTC in addresses that haven’t been spent from or in cold wallets so your public key stays hidden I think can be the safest measures to take. When quantum tech becomes a real threat, there are high chances that the Bitcoin network will upgrade so much it'll have little effect on Bitcoin users. So I don't think there's need to panic yet instead, we just stay have stay informed at all times.

Re: The BTC drops is causing panics

Panic and hype are cousins, they both appear every time BTC moves alot so its a good idea to get fully acquainted with the motivation to buyers or sellers.    BTC gets into inaccurate price movement and then people can overreact as the price is solid and totally accurate, the market plays them and we can lose out.
I dont feel BTC is anywhere near a hype phase just yet but it will happen for sure I reckon.
Well said mate. That line "panic and hype are cousins" really stuck with me. You're right in your observation that whenever BTC makes a big move, emotions get louder than logic especially for beginners in the Bitcoin network. Some Bitcoiners either rush in or rush out without asking or getting clear knowledge of why they're doing it. Again, I also think we're not in a full blown cycle just yet. There’s excitement in the air no doubt and if you ask me, it's understandable considering the recent developments in the Bitcoin market but that insane retail euphoria hasn’t kicked in. It probably will and when it does, the noise will be much harder to ignore.

That’s why it’s important to stay grounded and understand your reason for holding. If the motivation is clear, then price swings, whether up or down, won’t shake you too easily.

Re: UEFA Women's Euro 2025

Eight-time European champions Germany were eliminated in the semifinals. The match ended in a 0-0 draw in normal time. Bonmati scored a stunning goal in the second half of extra time to give her team a 1-0 lead. Goalkeeper Berger missed the goal and conceded.

Spain has advanced to the European Championship final for the first time in its history. The final will be between England and Spain.

Spain is my favorite.
Waoo congratulations to Spain as they made it to another finals Even though I expected that they rap things up in the regulations time but the German ladies showed class and composure as they where able to hold this Spanish team for ninety minutes plus extra time just before the end of the extra time Spain stroke through Bonmati to end the hopes of this German side, the finals is going to be mouth spectacular because two good sides Spain and England will be going against each other
I'm not surprised that Spain was able to reach the final of the UEFA Women's Euro 2025 infact, I was actually surprised that Germany gave them a good run for their money. The reigning world champions were resilient enough to win the game in the extra time. Spain women's national team at the moment looks absolutely unstoppable and that's why I'm expecting them to be their England counterparts in the final. England players definitely watched tonight's game between the two semi finalists and would want to capitalize on Spain's weaknesses in the final so I expect a hard-fought encounter but I still expect Spain to lift the trophy at full time.

Re: your bitcoin is not yours.

i am aware we all have different strategies and goals for our investments but i am sure that a lot of us are planning to hold bitcoin for the long term and it got me thinking what ways could we do to prevent us from being tempted to sell our bitcoins and spend it on unnecessary things

one way is writing off your bitcoins as not yours. that money is not yours to spend. just forget about it. the more you look at it, the more you will just want to sell it especially when you see the value of bitcoin.

do you also do this and does it really work for you?
I totally get where you’re coming from and yeah, I agree to an extent that it’s very important to stay disciplined with Bitcoin especially if your plan is long-term holding. But personally, I don’t belong to the school of thought that says I should live in abject lack or even go hungry today just to preserve my investments for tomorrow.

I believe in balance. It’s one thing to save and be strategic and it’s another thing entirely to deprive yourself of basic needs or ignore serious financial responsibilities all in the name of “hodling.” What if something happens to me before that future comes? What happens to the same asset I was protecting so tightly?

For me, Bitcoin is a tool not a god. It should serve my life not become the reason I suffer through it.

Re: Something is far more valuable than Bitcoin.
by
Donneski
on 22/07/2025, 13:27:41 UTC
Bitcoin made it to a new all time high now and the Internet won't let the masses rest, everywhere is now full with memes about people who faded on Bitcoin years back and those who had Bitcoin but sold for butter.

I am active on Twitter and I see this alot, someone also created a similar topic on here week ago.

Another one was talking anyhow to me this afternoon for not buying alot of Bitcoin at the time but I have few words to say about this just like I told him.

Nothing matters more than your life, not even Bitcoin.

Those people who faded Bitcoin years back choose survival over unnecessary stress.

This doesn't make them stupid, if surving 2017 was all about not having Bitcoin, then so be it, remember, this could be one of the reasons why you are breathing today.

Your 2017 wasn't like my 2017, your 2020 wasn't like my 2020, everyone have different battles they are fighting in those past years and some haven't even won yet.

It is fine to live this life the way you want, many people went extra miles to invest and they don't make it today.

If you are here reading this, congratulations, it means you are alive.

Those who are really grateful for life knows that they lost nothing, because life is far expensive than Bitcoin.

Seize the opportunity if you can, don't go extra miles, nothing will follow you to the other side if your heart stop beating.

Take It Easy.

I totally get your point and yeah, I also respect it. Life will always be more valuable than any asset including Bitcoin. Those who had to choose survival over investment I personally do not think did nothing wrong. But let’s be honest, most of the jokes we see now are not for people who were fighting to survive. They’re for those who knew about Bitcoin early, had the financial strength to buy but didn’t trust it enough and now, they’re watching its massive success and obviously feeling the regret, though some of them still claim not to regret their actions even when they probably do in their private moments.

It’s a reminder that staying curious and taking small, smart risks when you can is better than letting fear make all the decisions. Life first, yes, but if you can, don’t sleep on opportunities — that's one of the huge lessons I think we should learn all from the Bitcoin success story.

So, I log in today and find this scammy PM. I wonder how actually common this is. Can I request this user banned until Sun is gone?

Hi. I noticed u are new here
Recruitment is open for the private group who want to make on crypto
Access is free based on the results of the interview
Contact to the telegram if you are interested

I received a similar scam message when I was a newbie, although it was well composed than this and was looking legit. My only saving grace was that I contacted someone who introduced me to this forum and he told me that such scam attempts are rampant especially in newbies. Just report the scammer, a few more reports will get them banned.

Everyone should be very careful in this forum as a lot of people here are just actively planning on scamming other people, and a lot of people have already been scammed
Scam comes in different ways, but most people are victims of scams for two major reasons: 1. Greed and 2. Gullibility. Remove these two, and you will hardly be scammed.
Also consider the mindset of the victims. When they arrive this forum with the mindset of getting rich overnight, you will see them fall for the cheapest scam.

Honestly, I’m very surprised seeing this thread for the first time and it deeply resonates with me. I can only hope that Satoshi Nakamoto wherever he is, might still be reading these messages. If I had my way, I would wish for a statue of Satoshi to be erected in every region of the world, not just as a tribute to the creator of Bitcoin but as a symbol of the freedom, financial empowerment, and revolutionary thinking that he gifted to humanity. Personally, I feel Satoshi didn’t just create a digital currency, he gave us a new lens through which to view money, trust and decentralization. He handed millions of people around the world the opportunity to reclaim control over their wealth and financial future and for that, his name deserves to be remembered alongside history’s greatest innovators.

What amazes me the most is how one anonymous individual or group could ignite a movement that reshaped global finance all without seeking fame or recognition. That selflessness alone is very uncommon and legendary.
Dear Satoshi, if you're reading this, I want to say thank you for creating something that continues to give hope, financial freedom and opportunity to people in every corner of the world.

Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2024/25
by
Donneski
on 20/07/2025, 14:41:41 UTC
I’m not really sure what Alonso’s plan is with Rodrygo, but selling him is definitely worrying the fans. Before Mbappe and Alonso showed up, Vinicius and Rodrygo helped Madrid win the UCL and La Liga, and the team’s success was pretty much down to them. Since Mbappe and the new coach came in, things feel a bit more complicated. But I’m trying to stay positive, every coach has their own vision and wants to build the team their way. I just hope Alonso doesn’t mess up the lineup too badly.
As a Real Madrid fan who saw the performance of Rodrygo in 2023/24 season, I'm still very much surprised why he stopped being a regular after the arrival of Kylian Mbappe last summer. Rodrygo was one of the key players that helped Real Madrid win the Spanish La Liga title and the European Cup that season with Vinicius Jr leading the attacking line. I remember a league game I watched that season where Vinicius Jr was rested by the then manager Carlo Ancelotti who allowed Rodrygo operate from the left side of Real Madrid attack, he ended up scoring two beautiful goals.
Rodrygo to me is a huge asset to Real Madrid but it seems the current manager of the club have a contrary belief about the Brazilian hence, his refusal to start or play him as substitute during most of the club's games in the concluded FIFA Club World Cup. The season is almost starting and we've been seeing different speculations of clubs that are now trying to sign Rodrygo away from Santiago Bernabeu. If Xabi Alonso thinks he'll perform better with the Real Madrid team without Rodrygo, I think it's fine to let him join another top European club and continue his spectacular career but if Rodrygo leaves and goes on to become a prominent and decisive figure in another top club by scoring and creating many goals while Real Madrid struggles in attack, Xabi Alonso might lose his job for failing to utilize the talent he had at his disposal.

Re: BTC as means of payment is a looking more possible than before?
by
Donneski
on 19/07/2025, 22:34:20 UTC
The GENIUS act bill that was passed yesterday by Trump has everything to do with USDT and other stable coins, I get it but at least now things are looking more smoother for crypto payment? I believe that using the likes of stable coins and Bitcoin to pay online will now be more possible?

What do you think? Or am I getting way ahead of myself? I so much look forward for BTC payment option on large online stores like Amazon, because I can't find anything else that's easier for payment online than this.

I am not in the United states, I am way far away from America and in my country to use Fiat as payment is even limited, imagine you want to buy an expensive gadget that worth $6000 and your spending limit on every bank account can't exceed $3000 per month.

If BTC payment become a thing then it will make a lot of sense, I can decide to spend $10,000 per day if I want or can.
I completely agree with your view. I’ve always envisioned a time when Bitcoin and stablecoins would become normal payment methods online and with recent moves like the GENIUS Act, it feels like we’re closer than we've ever been.  Crypto simply offers a level of freedom and convenience that traditional banks can’t match especially in countries where spending limits are frustrating. Imagine being able to pay for anything online without worrying about restrictions, limitations or delays. I’m also eagerly waiting for big platforms like Amazon their likes to adopt BTC payments. Honestly, I think it’s just a matter of time before we see these things becoming a reality.

Re: Spinly.io 🎰✨ - Next-gen Crypto iGaming Platform 🚀💸

What is the essence of insisting on using a VPN to access a gambling platform that is obviously restricted in your region when you can as well make use of other casinos that are allowed operation in your region. Could it be that the very casino restricted from your region has certain features and games preferences that of interest to the gambler. Because I don't get it why someone will blatantly flag a rule and expect not to face some consequences.

I want to believe that people violate casino rules without knowing they are breaking them. If someone is breaking the rules even after knowing the rules, then I assume they are doing it because either the casino offers something better than other casinos, or the casino has some bonuses, and the player wants to use the bonus. In most cases, the player gets caught because of using the bonus.

The casinos usually check the accounts of those who use the bonuses carefully. If people use a platform knowing they are violating the rules, I would say they are stupid. They know that they will face the consequences.
I see your point and honestly, it makes me curious to know if there are cases where a player might not realize they’re breaking a rule just by using a VPN? For example, do casinos make these restrictions very clear during registration or are they usually hidden in the terms and conditions? I’m asking because I want to know if ignorance really plays a big role here or if people knowingly take that risk because of the bonuses or games offered. I would appreciate it if you could clarify this for me please

Re: YEET.com Crypto's Casino | Casino & Sportsbook| Airdrop |$5k BTCTalk Leaderboard

I registered a account on YEET.com today, But I am afraid to deposit here. When I go to find the deposit address, it shows many coins like BTC, ETH, USDT etc.. But when I click on the withdraw button, there is no other coin in the list except ETH. Is this happening because my balance is 0 or is it a problem with the site? Does anyone have experience gambling here? If anyone has gambled here, please share your experience. I will play a game here which I like a lot and they are providing it.

As one who recently registered a YEET account but is yet to deposit in it, I became worried immediately I saw this post of yours about your observation on their withdrawal options and just like I always do, I decided to make a little research about what you observed. Below is my findings from my little research and I hope it answers your question and curiosity to know more about YEET.
Yeet’s cashier defaults to showing Ethereum (ETH) until
(a) You open the currency selector, and/or
(b) You have a balance in another supported coin.

So what you're seeing is very normal and it doesn't mean withdrawals are limited to ETH. Infact, my findings shows that the platform supports many cryptos like BTC, USDT, USDC, SOL, TON, TRX, XRP, BNB, DOGE, SHIB, PEPE, etc. However, most of them only become meaningful choices once you’ve deposited (or converted into) that asset, because withdrawals must come from funds actually held in that currency. Your question is very helpful to be honest as it's made me research more about YEET which at the end, I've also learnt more from it. Hope this clears it up.

Manchester United is monitoring Jackson now. His future is becoming uncertain with the came of Delap and Pedro to the Chelsea's squad.  It means a competition to be the number one in the striker position is just getting even harder.
When I first saw the report earlier today that Manchester United have shown interest in signing Nicholas Jackson on X, I went under the comment section to see hundreds of Manchester United fans condemning the move by the club management to sign the Senegalese striker. Now in real context, the Chelsea forward had a better goal record than anyone of Manchester United top 9 strikers last season.. currently, Manchester United have Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmund Hoijlund to rely on in the striker's role but we already know that Jackson is a more prolific striker than the two players for a team who are trying to return to the top four next season after finish in the bottom half of the table last season, signing Nicholas Jackson I don't think will be a bad idea.
Nicholas Jackson might not be the best striker in England at the moment but I don't think he's far from being the ideal striker the 20-time English champions wants.

Inter is going for Lookman.
The player given the ok fro the tranfer from Atalanta to Inter.
Atalanta is asking for 50mil €.
The past year the player 15 goals in Serie A.
He is not so young, 27 years old.

Do you think it is worth to spend such money for a player at his age?
If Atalanta is asking for only €50 million for Ademola Lookman, then I think Inter Milan management should make it a fast deal and sign the Nigerian winger. We saw how they had an almost great season but weren't able to either win the league or the UEFA Champions League title despite reaching the final where they were humiliated by Paris Saint Germaine. In the just concluded FIFA Club World Cup, Inter Milan were also shown the exit door by a Brazilian club. I don't think all these would have happened if they had a pacy and skillful Ademola Lookman in the team. They need to reclaim their position of dominating the Italian league and signing the current African Best player I think will be a great move in achieving that
