Re: Can Blockchain Survive Without Bitcoin
by
Dorcolac
on 16/07/2018, 23:51:39 UTC
Because Bitcoin and Blockchain are so related, even if Bitcoin somehow goes so down in its value, Blockchain will somehow bring it back.
Why?
Because they are correlated. One can not work without the other, not in 2018 or in the future. These are times when the revolution in economic system happens and due to that, Blockchain will always be alive just as Bitcoin will always be alive.

BUT...!

We must understand that there are certain differences.
Bitcoin is a currency, and Blockchain is a " platform ", something that changed the whole ball game.
One must truly understand both and then, only then will know what is what.
My point is that Blockchain is used for tons and tons of things these days and we will only see in the future the merits and use of it in our everyday lives when on the other hand, Bitcoin is still and will always be a cryptocurrency.

Re: Bitcoin mining is costly...

If you want to mine Bitcoin, you need to understand the costs and benefits of it.
There is only one way you can mine it and still be in a great amount of profit, and that is to have a small farm ( meaning you have 10 rigs that will do the job for you )
But also you need to have a steady supply of electricity which is cheap or at the very least moderate when it comes to the cost.

Re: Can We Finally Call This the DEATH of Bitcoin?!?
by
Dorcolac
on 04/07/2018, 23:20:48 UTC
Bitcoin is not dead, nor it will ever be because Bitcoin is an idea.
This is the first step in order to bring crypto to our everyday lives and it is working.
Posts like this will only worsen the situation.
We need to stay postive and try our best to press the market, press the governments to accept crypto.
This is the future and nothing will stop it because if a lot of us believe it will come forth.

Re: Korean Government Formally Proposes Lifting the ICO Ban
by

This is big news.
But when it comes to the ICO scams and the future of the project, it all comes down to us, the investors.
Don't get me wrong, but if you are not doing your proper research and have a certain understanding of blockchain ( its fundamentals and ideas behind it ) then, of course, the investment will fail. You need to understand the story, idea, project and how it will work. Also there are certain websites ( I will mention NONE ) that can provide us with certain risk analysis and predictions. Fundamentally, remember, ICOs are a risk, but if you do your due diligence, all will be safe and sound.

Re: What's needed for Bitcoin to recover?
by
Dorcolac
on 29/06/2018, 20:59:04 UTC
The key word is TRUST.
In order for Bitcoin to recover, we need to have faith and trust in the BTC itself and then we, as a community, need to make certain measures to make the ICOs real, non-fake and friendly to the community.
There are a lot of ICOs that are, well, not in a real need for an ICO and lot of projects that really don't need to use blockchain technology but are using it because it is a trending technology.
Also, as a community, we need to provide full faith, trust and willingness in the crpyto system in-general.
It's been a long time ago since BTC was the only relevant one.
Now we have tons of crpyto-currencies and they also matter, not all of them, but there are some that can make an impact on the market. Ethereum, Zcash, BTC, Bitcoin Cash, XRP and the list goes on...
We should try to pressure the governments to accept blockchain as  a technology and then to accept crypto.
We MUST understand that those two go hand-in-hand.

Re: I do not understand the pessimism
by
Dorcolac
on 29/06/2018, 19:06:34 UTC
The bankers are the ones that spread the pessimism.
They do not want us to have crypto because of the fact that they lose money on the commision. With crypto there is no commision for them.
Crypto is a huge threat to conventional money.
The way todays economy works is that you need banks and bank accounts ( for which you pay fees ) for everything, getting a job, a company or just being a student in collage.
Seems okey, for the XX century not XXi.
The way crypto works is that you have a transparent ( yet ID protected ) system, with little to no fees, and the transactions are done in an instant. No more hassle.

I agree with you.
I think that the price of BTC will only go UP, and by the end of the year, it will sky-rocket.
All it takes is a lot of patience.

I am very happy that in my city, Belgrade the capital of Serbia, there are 3 ATMs.
The reason is that my country refuses to understand new technologies.
shame really, since we have a lot of IT firms and companies here.

Re: Which is more risky? Bitcoin or bank investment?
by
Dorcolac
on 07/06/2018, 19:57:13 UTC
In all honesty, I think BTC investment is riskier. A bank investment is always 100% gonna make you profit, but the downside of that is that you have a very very long ROI.
When it comes to BTC, if the price goes up, the ROI is instant, if it goes down, you have to wait certain amount of time for it to get back to its original value ( the value it had when you invested ) and then wait for a spike up in price.

Re: Crypto currency in five years!
by
Dorcolac
on 07/06/2018, 08:29:10 UTC
I fully agree with that statement.
Crypto is the future of money, and blockchain is the future of platforms in general. There are so many examples where you can use it or is being used. Government services are starting to move to blockchain, banks and financial companies are also moving there.

Re: Patience is all we need

I agree that patience is what we all need. When you do the research, everything says that there will be a spike in the BTC price later this year. That is what we need, the spike, but in order for that to happen, we need to be patient.

Re: Why people are still buying Bitcoin?
by
Dorcolac
on 01/06/2018, 11:08:47 UTC
I think its much more than just its value in USD/EUR. Bitcoin will have its value as a currency when national governments start using it. When that happens its value will skyrocket and it will become much more influential than your paper money.

Re: Crypto VS national currency
by
Dorcolac
on 01/06/2018, 07:54:14 UTC
It will happen. What needs to be done before that is that you as a country have to make the infrastructure for that, stabilize the crypto which you are using and turn the people towards crypto.
If you manage to do those three things, you will do it.

I think that people still believe in the the future of money and they see crypto as that future. Bitcoin, as an example is the most popular one so they have chosen to buy BTC. But time will show that there will be more cryptos and possible national cryptos as well.

Re: Ways to improve Bitcoin Community
by

We need to spread the news about what is happening worldwide. Make the community read, try and make them fully understand what BTC is, and how it works. If me manage to post about the professional usage of BTC, then they will be interested and thus the community will be better.

Re: Will banks ever offer bitcoin deposits?

They will. They have to because more and more people are getting involved in crypto. Now how that will happen, what method they will use and how they will implement that, that is the real question.

Re: Can Blockchain Survive Without Bitcoin
by
Dorcolac
on 29/05/2018, 07:31:29 UTC
I think it can. First we must divide bitcoin and blockchain as two different things. In order to use BTC you have to have blockchain since that is a "platform" where it is stored. Think of blockchain as giant pile of LEGO. Every block has a certain data information stored which can not be edited, faked or censored. And then you add another block, and another, and so on. Best part is that the more you add, the chain gets bigger without the risk of previous blocks being stolen, forgotten or forged. Like I said, look at it like a "platform".
Now, BTC is data information that you store onto that block.
Secondly, we use blockchain to create apps, programs and other platforms to improve our daily lives.
You have apps that are looking to improve national health systems, B2B communication or other. I can go on and on forever what projects are done, being created or will be created but the point is that, yeah, blockchain WILL survive. Because its value is not only measured as a platform for BTC, but for a lot more than that.
Hope I helped. Smiley

Re: Bitcoin will get legitimacy in all countries?

Many countries think that Bitcoin is harmful for their country. They think that Bitcoin will create inflation in their country. But is that right? Will Bitcoin never get all the legitimacy?

Hey, can you explain in just a few words what do you mean by harmful?
I get it that crpypto is not taxable, but is there anything more that you wanted to say?
Thank you.

Re: Bitcoin SCAM!
by
Dorcolac
on 24/05/2018, 13:03:22 UTC
One of the most frequent scam that I have seen so far is that scammers open a social media accounts with only 1 letter as difference when it comes to their URL but the caption name is the same. Then they boost posts how you have to send them 0.1 or 0.01 ETH or BTC in order to receive 1 or more ETH/ BTC. People, be careful, check the URL, check the profile info and every credential. Check the number of likes and community activities. Best of luck, and may crypto be with us.
