Another week and once again 5 of my miners at GND are down since yesterday.

Did you have them setup or waiting to get setup ?

Everything is back up!  There was a big snowstorm that hit Labrador on Wednesday and they lost power.  Support has responded to my ticket submitted last night and 5 miners were returned online.

Glad to hear you miners are up & running. These guys are legit & are reliable.  What people need to understand is this takes time to resolve.  People just need to pack some patience & realize the surge of Cryptocurrency is expanding & the response times can take a up to a week. My miners 3X D3 took about 1 week 1 day, but they kept me in the loop about what was going on. I expect this level of transparency when dealing with professional businesses.  So if you are interested in hosting, look no further than GND.  Happy mining in 2018 to all!  Cool

Bittrex, Cryptopia and YoBit are good choice.
Anyway if you wanna know where a coin is listed, you can use https://coinmarketcap.com/. Then click on the coin and then click on "markets". There you can find a list of all the exchanges which accept the coins you are interested in...

Thx Niya.  Very useful.  Cool

Be careful, most of those automatic exchanges that you will find on the internet are purely scam.

We all know that almost everything who is giving something with cheap rates and automaticaly, are scam. And shapeshift has a lot of scam acussations at the moment because a lot of bitcoins and ethereums are now lost in limbo.

and those coins that you are trading to buy/sell are very weird, i have never heard of them, it will be very difficult to see them listed on an exchange.

But look at coinexchange, it is a traditional exchange who is always offering weird coins that probably nobody seen before.

I have dozens upon dozens of transfers with ShapeShift and all of my transfers, not 1 issue in the past 4months or so.  I do send them all to a cold wallet right away.  Thanks, I'll check out coinexchange along with Bittrex.

FYI - If you choose to send your miners to other countries, be prepared to deal with customs mess. I chose Canada and my miners were stuck at customs and had to pay exorbitant custom fees. Lessons learned.

I thought customs fees were only 5% ?

How long are your miners stuck in customs for?

My miners went through the customs quickly but I ended up paying 15% tax. I've asked the datacenter ahead of time and they'd told me that's to be 5%.

good to know, actually I was also looking at hosting in Canada and hosting company told me 5% as well.

I've already paid local tax at 10%, to relocate them and slap another 15% is not really viable lol. 5% prehaps.

-What is the name of the data center that you sent your miners to Canada?

GND - so far 0 machines setup.  Not happy.

Seeing the sad state of the mining hosting biz I could only vouch for Hashplex. Those guys were not perfect but they're quite solid and leaps and bounds better than the rest. They're like the Amazon of ecommerce. But I guess they're no longer hosting.

I have 3x Machines hosted by GND. It took them about 1 week & 1day or there abouts to be set up.  They were inundated with machines sent all at the same time.  I can say their customer support has been terrific in terms of advising the delay & setting up of the miners.  So to those who are considering hosting, they are legit & great to work with.

Why not use exchanges? Buy BTC and use that to trade on exchanges like Bittrex.

Thanks. I'll take a look at it but wanted simple like Shapeshift makes it.

Antpool/Nicehash configuration for 3x D3 Miners

Hi,

Newbie here. I did try to use the search feature but it's not working for me.  Any help is appreciated or point me in the right direction. Below is my current configuration/set up:

I have a 3rd party hosting my miners. I currently don't have VPN access, so I can't log into the machines using the IP address to access. (they are adding that feature soon ). For now, I have to provide the setup details., then the provider inputs my information for me.

For Antpool & I created 1 Sub account  with 3X D3 worker names.  Currently Antpool is working & earning are showing but nothing in Payment history.  I configured the DASH wallet from Exodus for Antpool.  I prefer Nicehash, to be set up for Pools 1 & 2. For the worker name I used the BTC address  provided by Nicehash, however non of the miners can be found.

See below for my setup:
D3  Machine #1
Pool1
URL:      stratum+tcp://x11.usa.nicehash.com:3336
Worker: nicehash bitcoin address

Pool2
URL:      stratum+tcp://x11.eu.nicehash.com:3336
Worker: nicehash bitcoin address

Pool3
URL:      stratum-dash.antpool.com:6099
Worker:  dragonsith001.1

For my two other D3 Antminers the first two Pools are the same as above Nicehash.  Antpool for Pool3 on the other two machines.

D3 Machine #2
URL:     stratum-dash.antpool.com:6099
Worker: dragonsith001.2

D3 Machine #3
URL:     stratum-dash.antpool.com:6099
Worker: dragonsith001.3

Any thoughts or suggestions or see anything I'm doing wrong?

Thank you.
