Great hashing gang!  BTCBTCBTCBTC

It's really sad (funny sad) watching the stats of my U1 continue to fall further and further behind... even with the payout system, between diff going up, and new users revolving through the list going up it looks bleak to see a payout within the next year or two, HAHAHA!!  Good thing I only run it where the power is free.

One day I'll get a few real miners to add into the pool and get a payout.

Hello, my herp is 532,529.6888275245
how much is that in satoshi? and how long do I need to reach a payout que/5460 satoshi?

I'm mining now at avg 27Gh/s

See http://ckpool.org/#/user  and look at DERP.  Expect to wait a good long while at only 27GH/s before you see a payout.  But once you start getting payments it's worth it!

Google it a bit and decide for yourself.

The one thing almost no one seems willing to do... always looking for the 'easy' answers...  HAHA!  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Is there a way to force CGminer to only stick to ANU recognition?

Not really. There was hardly anything different between many many devices that used the exact same communication protocol because hardware manufacturers didn't want to think about it, used the same usb chip, and were too lazy to add a simple identifier on their usb devices. Adding more commands now for such old slow hardware is a bit of a waste of time I'm afraid.

Totally understandable!  Thanks for the very quick reply CK!

Edit:
This is the error message that gets shown:
[2018-02-07 17:44:01] AU3 0: No valid hashes for over 2 secs, attempting to reset
 [2018-02-07 17:44:01] AU3 0 attempted reset got err:(0) LIBUSB_SUCCESS
[2018-02-07 17:44:05] AU3 0: No valid hashes for over 2 secs, attempting to reset
 [2018-02-07 17:44:05] AU3 0 attempted reset got err:(0) LIBUSB_SUCCESS

I don't expect any update or changes, I only value my U1 as a realtivly cheap tool to get my training wheels off.

I finally updated myself from an older version of CG miner to the current version for my U1.  When I used the start command line of

cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://pool.ckpool.org:3333 -u 12fvYKMQ7BgBuWqVfTvq8VH1TKnh7zNB3z.USB1 -p  --anu-freq 275 --suggest-diff 20

CGminer automatically picked it up as a AU3 not the ANU that it should have.  After a couple restarts it went back to recognizing it at an ANU.  No real issue, but when it was thinking it was a AU3 I was getting some weird error messages.

Is there a way to force CGminer to only stick to ANU recognition?

Funny how people keep asking the same question in different ways - miners here earn the same as at any other pool over a long enough period, except they don't pay any fees.

Thank you and Computer Genie for having enough patience for the same questions from people who can't be bothered to read even 2 threads worth of this forum to be considered saints!  You are a saint in my eyes!

Side note, is anyone selling any of their old working miners?  I'd be interested in purchasing some equipment that can produce more than a Antminer U1.

Instead of posting in a different forum, I want to ask here because I intend to add more hashing power to this pool.

Irrelevant of where you are buying your cloud mining (Nicehash, MRR, Etc.) from, what range (in either BTC/TH/DAY or /BTC/PH/DAY) of purhcase price do you consider valuable today?  Also, what is the max you would consider paying for hashing power?

I have been on the bubble about getting miners that can actually provide worthwhile hashing capacity (my U1 has been good to get familiar with the basics of getting going, but will never produce anything valuable), and with the little bit of BTC I have now, I would consider putting it with MRR, but want to make sure that if I do that I'm not buying hashpower at a rate that would not provide a ROI to re-invest back into more hash power here.

Unlike so many of the other new pool members who have been looking for the easy hand out of info from CK and the other senior memebers, I am totally on board with the process here, and can wait for the payouts, I need to dig some more on the pricing of rented power. Getting feedback from the people doing it just makes sense.

Here's to some Block Luck!

Would it be possible to get a stat on what amount of HERP is equal to the dust payout level?  May not be super useful for lots of users, but would be interesting to watch as the Diff keeps going up for those of us with miners that are really just running for the sake of running... (my U1...  Roll Eyes)

How can I easily calculate how far we are to our expected % progress in finding a block? Is it based on one of the stats on CKpool.org/pool?

It's the DIFF value.  That is an estimate to the average amount of hashing it takes to find a block at current difficulty.  I think we are 72+ right now...  but it is still all dependant on luck.  The pool could find one today, or at 120 DIFF...

Pool Work FAQ question

What is the number that follows the addresses that are in the postponed section of the pool work?  is that an accumulation of user/address HERP?

Just got through the full thread, WOW!  Tons of work into this.

I just got a USB stick running to play with mining, and while pointed at the ckpool the CG miner has popped up with "2017-09-27 18:04:01] Stratum from pool 0 detected new block"

As that obviously was not a solve, what does the new block detected refer to?  Apologies if this is the wrong forum to ask in.
