Building out my gridseed farm. Got more coming. The cables will be cleaned up soon.

I'm using standoffs for stacking - handmade power cables - and yes the fan is actually a few inches off the wall.

I am looking at you Gridseed rig and I was wonder how many Gridseed are hooked up to the single Molex connector.

I know there are Three Molex connector on that single cable, so I was wondering.

I love you rigs for the love of god please switch those GPU miners to a scrypt base coin because you will earn more. But I think you know that already given how old the post is...

I don't alt.. Smiley
QG

Well... unless you are paying free energy for those GPU rigs, you ARE losing Money just from the electricity, but hey I cannot change your mind. I just want to help a person who IS making a wrong mining chose for those GPUs.....

Because from my experience switch all my GPUs to Litecoin I earned MUCH more BTC equivalent than mining straight BTC....

I feel so sorry for those GPUs.... they could have more potential mining Litecoin than straight BTC...

Ditto on the power consumption, and are you blowing the air INTO your AC Unit? Clever.

C

There is no AC Unit in that room all natural air float and ambient temperatures. I have setup the rigs to work with the room of the house. I have mined since last summers so I know to expect this summer.

I know the AC unit up stairs is not enough but the way I have engineered the rig setup the cards do not get above 80 C.

When the temperatures outside is 80 F plus I know the cards will be in the 80s to 90s the way I have setup that room. I just open the door to let the cool air from a my main room to that room. I deal with the heat like I did last year.

Also Power consumption is around 7500 Watts from the wall.

My "Completed" Rig. 20 MH/s. You see random cards I bought them over a course of a year so I have different brands and different models of AMD cards. Power Consumption is around 7500 Watts fans and all

I have a hard time comprehending fans blowing hot air from one rig right into another rig. Wouldn't it be better to orient them differently, so they're not blowing into each other?

Other than that, I like it!

I have make do with what I have in space of that room. If that setup worked last summer then this summer should work as well unless you have better solution to this issue.

Quad Sapphire R9 270X cards - average hashrate of 2.074 Mhash/s
oh, and 2 Antminer U1 = 4GH/s SHA256 mining

GPU0 (2nd card from the left) is actually on a pair of daisy-chained 16X ribbon risers since I intend to use the rig for some gaming

Love the USB Bitcoin miners on the Litecoin rig. Smiley

Nice meet you here. Cheesy

A new updated video of the rig will be uploaded soon, there has not been on for two months because of the rigs you see there.

Our 5x 290 are averaging 67C. Our 24x 280x are averaging 57C.  Grin Grin

EDIT: All of our 280x are below 70C, and BAMT actually gives us warning messages, thinking the GPUs have gone idle, because some of the cards will drop below 45C while mining at night.

I have that too. Tongue my card goes below 45 sometimes in my setup Tongue

Time to show off my "work-in-progress" rig. (17 MH/s at the moment)
====================================
That 5970 will be replace with a better card, hint the card will look like the one behind it.

Also the space is doing well for the winter but it will change quite a bit during the spring and summer.

man whats your electricity bill like?

Well now with the bill coming up I think it will be around 750 to 800 for the whole house but the rigs alone cost about 430.00 USD......rates are low here Smiley

I'm curious to see some pictures of those mining rigs.  Share your pictures of your rig and then details of build and mhash/sec.  Let's get a frame of reference up here with some visuals.

I'm a gamer so this is an older gaming rig (2+ years old now)

A single 4890 that produces 100 mhash.  Bitcoin mining will help me justify putting together a tri or quad video card setup relatively soon.

You need to invest in a can of air my friend

No comment on that.... (First post on this thread....)

Bitcoin Setup (For Now) ≈ 12.62 GH/s
============================

Litecoin Setup (For Now) ≈ 7,905 KH/s
=============================

=============================

As you can see, I have a bitcoin and litecoin rig setup, but my litecoin rig is earning more than the bitcoin rig......

I have higher hope for litecoin than bitcoin due to the fact that everyone with much higher hashrate are taking most of the bitcoin network.

It's a pool funneling through another pool or a collective of users using the same account. If you were around in the bitcoin-GPU-mining days pool stats like that would not surprise you at all.

Apparently, all users moved at the same time to give me coins now...

Wow, people are still GPU mining?

Why wouldn't they be? I make over 2 BTC daily after converting the alts I mine to Bitcoins. While everyone else was spending money on ordering ASICs, I created a SCRYPT farm. I figure why take my army into the arms race for ASICs, I'll wait until the armies are weakened and build my army for much less money.

I agree, I have a small SCRYPT Farm in my house. Earning about 0.20 BTC converted per day with the hashing rate of 6.2 MH/s compare to my ASICs mining at 7.5 GH/s only earning me 0.07 BTC per day....

is it stable with 10 BE's on 1 Anker Hub? What PSU do you use?

It is stable, and I used the stock power supply that came with the Anker USB hubs.

ATM, they are running for about 14 days now and going strong.

Hey Guyz why there is no FORUM link to bitcointalk.org?

This forum is hard to maintain, there're already almost 1000 (!!) pages of non-threaded discussion and unless somebody is reading it continuously, it's hard to find any useful information here. We prefer Facebook pages although I understand that some people dislike FB. For those, bitcointalk is still a good place to hang out Smiley. Soon we'll offer alternatives like pool's subreddit (reddit is cool!) with active customer support, however it's not prepared yet.

So much more information. :O Are you going to keep the old pool site as like a back up??
