Thats odd number you have got up there. Why is it 9.7K? and not 10K?

I am not too techie so just asking if there is any way to calculate the resistance level for the same. I am pretty sure that fundamentals says that BTC will keep rising no matter what happens in the next update. The coin has shown us potential before and its always been on one goal, just to rise. I dont think clearing up the 9.7K level would be that difficult for the bitcoin. So I am sure this will happen before the end of next week. Its breaking bad!!
The reason for 9.7k is because this is the level of previous resistance (and earlier support 2 months ago). This is a level I based on the previous history and the resistance haven't coincided with 10k but rather 9.7-9.8k.

In the market you can see the emotional phases combined with the stage we're in from the top in December all the way down towards the bottom in February. i think Uptrend has no major resistance till 10200 $ , then it has a pullback till around 8500$.
Yes I think it would go even higher up to $12k before hitting big resistance
there goes my chance on getting cheap BTC below $7k Cry support seems pushing upward $8k+ now
but in cryto world, anything can happen Tongue a bit FUD and unexplainable FOMO could affect market
if suddenly major exchange got hacked or went scam, price would free fall back to $5000 Lips sealed or lower
Yes I think that is something important to remember. FUD can come from anywhere and big movements can still be affected by large holders (+1000 BTC). BTC could go to 12-15k but also down to 5k, it is hard to predict. But it is interesting to try and if you are quick to identify the trend you can make some quick profits.

the discussions about this being a bull "trap" ended days ago as soon as price showed a huge buy support and a very solid rise behind it. this is considered as the starting point of the bull run now.

I agree with the rest of the things you said except that I think we may see a bigger rise after the $10k resistance was broken because of some short term FOMO buying that can take place after that.
regarding altcoins I am currently staying away because bitcoin is rising and it can cause a lot of instability among altcoins and I don't want to lose money.

I agree that the "bull-trap" scenario is a bit unlikely now but still it is worth mentioning since it was a hot topic. I hope that you are right and that FOMO might even drag the price past the first resistance at 11-12k since that is what happened last time. But since it happened last time I think the movements will be a bit "calmer" and more controlled. So I think we are going to encounter resistance and have more retracements even if we go past 10k.

I am still ready in moving a bit to the ALTs since if 10k is broken and a steady bull-trend starts then most ALTs have 50-80% discounts from ATH and could have some nice gains. But I will just be moving to the ALTs that I have researched and that have stayed active, shown progress during the bear market.

Next resistance at 9.7k. What are your thoughts on May movement?

There is a lot of discussions going on if this is a bull-run, a bull-trap or consolidation. I don't think anyone really knows but maybe together we could figure some things out. Here are my thoughts:

  • Next major resistance for BTC is at 9700 USD. Already testing this once and had a drastic drop
  • Turned around at 8700 USD and have been steadily climbing since back over 9k. This shows continued strength

I think we are in a short-term consolidation between 8.7-9.7k where these two levels will determine a more middle-term trend on where BTC will go. If 9.7k is broken there is not much resistance until 11-12k so then we can expect a nice 15-20% gain. On the other hand if we go down below 8.7k then I think next level of resistance isn't until around 7.2-5k which is around 15-20% decrease. So the benefits/risks on either side are about equal so I am avoiding trading this until we can get a clear signal either way and I am also avoiding doing to much movement in my ALTs since this will be determined by BCT.

What are your thoughts?

Re: Price prediction for 2018: DeepOnion
by
Ebenezar64
on 19/04/2018, 06:04:32 UTC
Thank you for this post, you have made an extensive and interesting analysis. Personally I think that price for DeepOnion, as one of most common privacy coin like Zcash, Monero, Verge etc... will be determinated by the rules that countries will decide and the global regulation of crypto.... let's see...

I also think that regulations will play a role in general for cryptocurrencies. And the price of DeepOnion will of course depend a lot on BitCoin (especially in the coming year) since currently you pretty much must have BTC (or ETH/LTC) in order to get ALTs that means that these will probably stay the top dogs for the forseeable future. That also mean that if we have overall bear market then of course this will affect most (if not all) ALTs. Now people are talking about a shift in the trend towards bullsih, I am not sure I believe it 100% yet but of course I hope it is true.

And if the market would turn bullish then I think DeepOnion is in a good position to have some good gains. A clear bowl formation is forming, maybe sparking another bull-trend (in comparison to BTC price) for DeepOnion. I think what could set it off is if the BTC market starts to get even clearer bull-signals, like breaking 9k.

I still stand by my price prediciton for 2018, it was a long-term view since I figured there was probably going to be a eretracement at some point. But overall I am bullish on BTC and the crypto market in 2018 so I think that DeepOnion will once again go up to levels of ATH and even higher.

But everyone should do their own research and it is good to have many different views in a thread so it is great that you share your opinions (even if they differ from mine). And if you want to explain your reasoning a bit more that would be great, I always try to explain my view and see things from different prespectives and not get locked into a single view.

The reason my view on DeepOnion still stays the same is because, even though there has been a bear market and price has been dropping, development and growth of the community hasn't stopped. They have launched a bunch of new things in the last 3-4 months: Whitepaper, Updated Desktop Wallets with latest Tor integration (0.3.3.4-Alpha), Andorid Mobile Wallet. They are also  going to release VoteCentral within a week followed by Deepvault Webapplication. I think this shows that they are hard at work and not stopping because of market fluctuations. Despite all this price have gone down but I think that is because market sentiment had turned bearish and ALTs wasn't the place where people wanted to invest their money. If/When this changes I think, since DeepOnion has shown great strength in development and continued growth, that this might start a jump in evaluation of this project.

This is all my personal opinions and please let me hear yours!

Re: An "unbiased" coin review of DeepOnion

Hi all. Just wondering why the deeponion team chose the airdrop method over an ICO. I'm guessing since the coins are premined, the team has allocated itself some of those coins and is using airdrops to distribute the other coins (because they don't need to raise money for development) and then as the project solidify and more people become interested, demand for the coins will grow (and the airdrop period will have ended), holders of airdropped coins will sell them on exchanges and the price will start rising, which will make the coins held by the team more valuable and they can recoup their investment. Is this analysis correct?

Also, are there projects out there that have skipped ICOs, mining (like bitcoin), airdrops, crowd donations and simply listed their coins on exchanges? Does doing that make any sense?

I think it is a fair analysis. There are some more points to why choose AirDrop instead of ICO:

  • With AirDrop you can get a good decentralization and distribution of your coin. Not only big money investors get a piece of the pie but also crypto enthusiast that believe in teh project can easily get involved and are encouraged to hold.
  • As you say there is no initial fund gathering but instead allocations of coins are done for development. But that means that in the beginning the team pretty much works "pro-bono" until a value can be established in the project.
  • As for the developers and creators they have of course gotten extra coins through the Founders Reward and that is usually like normal around 10% of total coin supply. But different from an ICO where they could run away with the money the team must show promise and actual value in the project for it to even be worth anything. It is only if they can keep showing sustained value that they will be able to sell off some of their Founder rewards to get value on their investment.

It is very hard to build a succesful AirDrop coin since the project can only continue if the intial work shows promise and the consensus is kept during the entire project that it has value. Since developers are payed in the currency everyone is working toward the same goal: Making this project have value.

That is why a succesful Airdrop could be much more promising investment oppurtunity than an outsold ICO imo. As I have mentioned I am no finacial advisor so please do your own research.

But this is in part of the reason i got interested in DeepOnion in the first place. They had managed to show value to the community and kept that up during the entire AirDrop process. Now that AirDrop is finishing I think that some will probably sell off some coins (the people that have just enjoyed the free 4-5% weekly interest) the rest will be holders that believe in the crypto long-term. And these people ahve been through the ups-and-downs of teh AirDrop stage so they won't sell cheap. That is why i think evaluation of the coin will rise as the AirDrop ends and the project "begins for real".

Re: Coins with potential to x100?
by
Ebenezar64

If you are looking for 100x I think now is the best time to do research, while the market sentiment is down you have to find projects that have good fundamentals, that are still producing something (not standing still). And if they are already at 1/10 or less evaluation from ATH then that is even better since you know 10x is already a possibility. But you have to do your research and check that nothing have changed (fundamentally) that have caused the drop. If the drop is only/mostly due to bear market then that might be a good choice for a gamble on going 100x.

But as a lot of people mention you would have to look in the 250-400 ranking are for this and there are always risks that the project never takes off and you lose your investment. But if you are right you make 100x so that is a big bonus Smiley.

I can share my thoughts on a project: DeepOnion. Had an ATH of $20 in January and is now at $1.5 so it is >90% discount from ATH. I can tell you that the fundamentals have not changed and they keep development going strong. Recently they have released an DeepOnion Android Wallet for their platform, they also released a new desktop wallet where they tried to implement Stealth Addresses. On the Main Net Launch of Stealth addresses a bug was discovered so they postponed that release but it is running fine on their Testnet. So they are just working out the details it seems.

In the last few months DeepOnion has been mentioned in media everywhere: By John Oliver (satire on cryptos but still a mention), DataDash, Suppoman, Kubera, Big Man Tyrone and many more (less known) Youtubers. I think every single review have been overall positive even though none have done an in-depth analysis video yet.

All of this has happened after the ATH in January. The community has grown and it feels like something is brewing here. I think this might be one of those +100x that is waiting to happen. But for that the amrket sentiment needs to change to bullish and we would need to see BTC start to turn around again.

I am not a financial advisor but a supporter of the project so I would always advocate to DYOR and decide after that. Never take a single comment someone makes to be the truth, do some googling, check out the Whitepaper and the forum before you make up your mind. DeepOnion Whitepaper

Re: Zcash vs Pivx vs Monero vs Bulwark vs Dash vs Verge vs Zcoin > Best Privacy Coin
by
Ebenezar64
on 05/03/2018, 06:50:36 UTC
I feel like I am missing some mentions here like DeepOnion and CloakCoin which should be added to the list. All the coins mentioned (excpt Bulwark) are large to mid-caps and if you think Privacy sector will have a boom in 2018 I would look at the small cap coins. I think it will be a lot like how the ALTs surged in 2017 compared to BitCoin that the privacy small-caps will surge in comparison to Monero and ZCash. Take time and do your research into the small caps, such as Bulwark, DeepOnion, Cloakcoin and similar.

I have done my research and if I should choose one small-cap coin to go for it would be DeepOnion. The coin has a already launched a nice unique feature in DeepVault (unique among privacy coins), which is basically file verification on the blockchain. Next step is to release DeepProtocol (Stealth Addresses), which makes it possible to de-link your identity from the coins you receive, no single address will hold your coins and it will be ipossible for an outside observer to say which addresses belong to you. These are just the early steps in the project and that is when you need to get in, if you are looking for the bigger gains. You can find out more about Stealth Addresses in articles such as: Stealth Address upcoming and other DeepOnion features in the DeepOnion Forum and Webpage.

But as DataDash (Youtuber) says, don't put all your eggs in one basket, diversify a bit, find 2-3 privacy coins that you think have the tech to make it big. If the privacy sector booms then it is the small-caps that will have the biggest gains and if one of your choices is the correct one expect some nice returns.
I am not a financial advisor so this is just my views on the matter.

Chapter 4
Our meeting spot was at ’The Temple Bar’, a cozy old world pub with a nice varying menu, a good selection of beers and secluded booths where parties could eat, drink and talk in private. Everything a hungry, thirsty and security conscious bounty hunter might want.

I was arriving a little bit early since I wanted to get all my thoughts in order for the meeting. I had had little to no sleep, spending most of the night gathering intel on New York; the location of the shelter, best routes to take going in/out, what to expect when arriving and a million other things. I had to spend some of my $ONION-funds to do it, but it was nothing that staking my coins wouldn’t get me back eventually (something I could do via my neural implant 24/7). The annual staking percent of 1% isn’t as high as it was in the first and second year (10/5%) of DeepOnion, but still it helps to recuperate some of the money I spend on information gathering.

I was a bit anxious about telling them about New York, but I had made sure to drop by the office to split up the reward, so I was ready to hand it out. That should get them in a good mood (initially at least).

Entering the pub and heading for our usual table I found it already occupied by everyone. Apparently they had also decided to come early and start the celebrations on the score from yesterday. I couldn’t really blame them wanting to relax and enjoy life a bit. But it was making me feel even more like a party-pooper than I already was. And it gave me no time for any mental preparation so I was going to have to decide how to tell them off-hand.

They saw me coming and waved me over. “Guest of honor joining the party and bringing present I image” Wiley burst out before I even have time to sit down. I smile and hand out four sealed envelopes, each containing a passkey for a fifth of the food ration reward, usable to make withdraws whenever they wanted. I always make sure it is an even split since we are a team. Sometimes I take away a small part to use as supplies for future missions but everything else we split equally. The gas reward I moved over to our ‘community account’ (that we all shared and had access to). There wasn’t much need for gasoline, except on Bounty assignments, so that was the agreement we had made.

Even Blade seemed to be in a good mood and scooted over to make room for me in the booth. “Don’t worry, we haven’t started without you. We just arrived a few minutes ago, felt we deserved an extra drink or two today for a good days work” he says with a small smile tugging on his lips.
“You deserve it” I manage to push out while taking on a more serious face and sitting down. In the moment I decide that it would be best to get the news out immediately. That way it doesn’t seem like I am trying to sneak it up on them (though I kind of was).
“I have gotten a job request I would like all of you to consider”.
“Come-on boss, have a beer and lay-off the shop-talk for later. Enjoy the moment! We can all have steaks and bears tonight!” Blade says, still with a smile on his face. Not for much longer I think while gathering my breath to barrel through my pitch. Too late to back down now so might as well continue as if he never interrupted me in the first place.

“It’s a high-risk job with equally high-value reward. It’s an extraction of 12 people from an extremely zombie-heavy area, four adults’ and eight kids’ lives are at stake.” That seemed to sober everyone up and I could notice that they were now all listening intently to what I was saying. Good, I didn’t want to have to run this through more than once.
“The client has promised to front any supplies needed for the successful fulfillment of the assignment. Upon completion they will reward us with high-quality food rations, three months’ worth, for each team member with an additional gas bonus that would triple our current supplies.” I let that hang for a moment while I gauged their reactions. Nobody said anything for a while until Wiley let out a slow whistle. “A reward like that must have some special circumstances I imagine” Izzy says, pushing for more info.

“You could say that. The target is in New York, stuck in an underground shelter since the Outbreak. A high-school teacher, the kids and their chaperones. They were on a field-trip to the shelter and managed to seal themselves off inside. Supplies are running low and it is now or never for them.” There was a heavy silence hanging in the air after I had finished. It was finally broken by Blade bursting out laughing (not the reaction I was expecting).
“You can’t be serious! New York! That is a death-trap and you know it. They can’t possibly be alive and even if they are no one can make it in and out of there alive. Therefore this has got to be a joke right?!” But he wasn’t smiling anymore, he had a clear frown on his face.

“I have done the research, they are very much alive, in New York, and no one is coming to help them. No one… unless we do.” I say keeping my voice level, but maybe something slipped into my voice since Izzy answered “It sounds like you already made up your mind on the matter”. I hold her eyes for a bit thinking of what to say. I decide on the truth and leave it in their hands.

“I can’t do this without your help, but yes, I want to help these people. They are stuck in a hellhole with no hopes of escaping. That they have held out this long shows some serious backbone. I found hundreds of blogs/posts dating back since the beginning of the Outbreak asking someone/anyone for help. The responses (when given) have been sympathetic but not enough to move anyone into action. Everyone here must decide for themselves if you are willing to risk your life to save someone else. The reward is big, but this is a dangerous assignment, and you can’t spend anything if you are dead.”

I was expecting a longer silence while they mulled it over. To my surprise it was Nebu (I can never quite figure him out) who spoke after just a few seconds “No one should have to choose between starving to death and getting eaten alive. If you think there is something that we can do about it count me in”. That was practically a speech coming from Nebu and I gave a silent nod of thanks to him for speaking up.

Wiley and Izzy looked at each other, coming to some sort of silent agreement (not unlike the old couple for last night). Izzy is finally the one to voice their thoughts. “We’re in, we know what it is like, being trapped, feeling like there is no way out. Having those ‘things’ just waiting for you give in and make a hopeless run for it”.
I think back to the shopping mall where me, Nebu and Blade had picked the two of them up in the first place. It had been partially overrun with ’Walkers’ (using the Walking Dead slang was easier than always saying zombie) but a few survivors had managed to barricade themselves in one of the wings. But without any real weapons and limited food it would just have been a matter of time before they were in the same situation the people in New York were in right now. So I could understand them wanting to help.

With that settled I turned to Blade “And you?” I said, leaving the question in the air. He still had a frown on his face but he seemed to be mulling it over. He looked around the table, seemingly at all of us. “You’re all completely out of your minds. You know you’re going to get yourselves killed while trying to help these people”. But then his frown turned up in a slight smile as he continued “I guess then I have to tag along, if only to be sure you make it back so I have someone to drink with. It’d be too damn boring here without the rest of you”. I knew he still might not be fully happy about this assignment but if he said he would do it I could trust him to follow through. I gave him a nod and a small smile back.

“That’s for damn sure we wouldn’t make it out without you Blade. Who else is going to watch our backs” Wiley bursts out with a big smile on his face that spreads around the table. Feeling it safe to continue I end the subject for tonight. “We’ll need to go over the details as soon as possible, we have a lot of preparations to do and we are leaving in only two days. But first let’s get some drinks and steaks in here! We still have a job well done to celebrate so let’s not think about work until the morning”. “Hear, hear!” they all chime in.

It is important to savor the good times, few as they are, in a world like this. And I really had been looking forward to that juicy steak with some freshly fried onions since yesterday. I set all other thoughts aside and decide on enjoying tonight. Tomorrow we set to work!

Chapter Five coming soon...

Chapter 3
Getting back to the Sanctuary we went through the regular security routines. Our IDs as 'Legalized Bounty Hunters' for the Sancuary afforded us with some special privileges which granted us a speedy entrance. The security might sound lax but remember that the zombies weren't contagious so there was really no need to be overly cautious.

Well, if people had known about my neural implant things might have been different. Them having been partly the cause of this 'zombification' and with 'The Phage' still being out there people would naturally keep a good distance to anyone still having a neural implant. That is why I don't advertise the matter (again not paranoid, just common sense). I haven't even told my team about it but I am sure they wonder sometimes how I get ahold of my info. If they suspect anything or are worried they haven't mentioned it.

While in my reverie Izzy had taken us through the main gate and further in, to the parking garage. After parking Izzy and Nebu gathered up our weapons and headed towards the weapons storage to drop them off. "Don't forget the receipt!" I called after them which received a grunt from Nebu in response. That was good enough for me.

Me, Wiley and Blade headed towards the DropBox Room to drop off our Bounty for the reward. Only one of us was allowed entry to the DropBox Room so as team leader I entered carrying the package. The inside of the DropBox Room is very Spartan-like. The only items are a single computer, a conveyor belt, a printer and a big red button on the wall. I flocked on the screen of the computer and filled in the Bounty ID number. It is the number identifying which Bounty I was claiming. The ID number I had gotten off the bulletin board in the Bounty Offices. This is normally to ensure the anonymity of the client but in this case the council had gone public with the request to encourage participation. A request from the council always had a good reward and could be counted upon to fulfill the agreement.

After enter the ID number the computer prompted me to input my 'Passkey'. The passkey is like a personal password for you computer that no one else knows about. It is what I need later to claim the Bounty and security conscious that I am I make sure to have a unique passkey for every Bounty. I filled out my string of numbers and pressed enter. The printer immediately started up and printed me a label with the Bounty ID number on it together with my passkey. I pasted it on the package and put the package on the conveyor belt. I pressed the button on the wall and the conveyor belt started up. It transported our package through the wall and off into whoever handled the packages.

The entire Bounty system is something of a really nifty design, created by the ruling council (with inputs from yours truly). When helping to design it I actually took a lot of ideas from DeepOnion which has features like DeepSend and Stealth Addresses which I use to protect my identity during my online dealings. The system ensures that the Bounty Hunter (normally) never knows the identity of the person making the request and the submitter never knows who performs the bounty work. This avoids unnecessary grudges to develop and reduces internal competition between bounty hunters, since if you don't know who to be mad at, why even bother?!

After dropping off the Bounty we all went our separate ways, Wiley and Izzy most likely went back to their place, Nebu to his workshop and Blade to whatever place was serving bear at this time. We had set up a rendezvous for the next day to split the spoils, giving time to the office to processes the Bounty.

It meant waiting another day before I could get ahold of my steak but I wasn't worried, this request was backed by the council after all. Without anything else left to do I set off back home to my humble abode for some rest and maybe celebrate a good days work with a bag of chips and coke. After the apocalypse it is the small things that matter!

I was abruptly woken up the next day by a hammering on my front door and it took me some time to register what was going on. I have friends but no one really that would show-up unannounced in the morning like this. Wary and a little curious I got dressed and went to check what was going on. Waiting at the door was a middle-aged couple (maybe in their late 50s).  The man was tall (half a head taller than me) and had the body build of someone used to manual labor, smith or farmer I am thinking, but his eyes had a kind of weariness to them. The woman was petite, at least compared to the man, had a slim build and kind eyes with which she was studying me with (taking my measure?).

After a moment of silence the woman took the lead, "Mr. Ebenezar isn't it, mind if we come in for a while?". I nod slightly in response and gesture them towards the couch to sit down still curious as to what they are doing here. "Tea, ok?!" I ask while I shut the door behind them and go into the kitchen to put prepare it. My curiosity is no excuse to ignore the rules of hospitality and offer some beverages to my guests.

"Tea sounds good" I hear from the living room. I lean back in and ask "Jasmine or elderberry?". The couple looks at each other in that silent communication that is developed over long years together, "Jasmin will be fine" the woman answers. Seems like, of the two of them, she has chosen to take the lead on whatever this is. With the tea getting ready I sit down in the chair next to them and motion them to start.

"My name is Janice and this is my husband Paul, we live over in the West District and have a request that we would like to discuss with you" says Janice. Interesting tidbit of information, the West District is the 'wealthy' part of Sanctuary. That must mean that they got some important skills that is of good use for the community, my bet is on Paul being a smith which is a highly sought after skill these days.
"What kind of a request?" I prompt, already having a really good guess. In a community this small word gets around and, even for someone like me, keeping your line of work a complete secret is an impossibility.
"We would like to hire you in your capacity as a Bounty Hunter, there is a certain assignment we would like to offer you" which is exactly in line with what I was expecting her to say.
"There is a normal process for this, just file a Bounty request with the office and they will put it up on the board" I say even though I know that they are already aware of this and here because of some other circumstance. Still I hold on to hope that I might convince them to leave me alone, I don't like dealing directly with people.
"We did that, even put up a hefty reward, but it has been over a week and no one has taken on the assignment. You have a reputation for helping people and out daughter is in dire need of your help!"

A reputation?! I shouldn't have a reputation; I actually strive hard to NOT have any reputation in this community. Have I helped some people out?! Sure, I have done some assignments outside of the official bounty board when I felt the reward was good enough. Information can sometimes be an extremely good reward but that isn't something that the office takes as collateral for a bounty request so I have been known to dabble.

But helping people?! I mean there have been a couple occasions where we have gotten people out of a few tough scrapes, but all those have been official bounty requests and done anonymously. I guess the ones we got out safely might have talked, it is kind of hard to stay completely anonymous from the bounty itself. Hmm, a flaw in the system?! That is something to consider for later, now I needed to get back on track.

Before I can fully collect my thought Janice presses her point. "There is no one else we can turn to. She is stuck in New York, she, a bunch of kids and other teachers are stuck in an underground shelter and have been since the Outbreak. Supplies are running low and they will have no choice but to leave. They won't make it without help!"

My mind was spinning, people alive in New York and have been there since the Outbreak?! That sounded like wishful thinking. New York was a high-tech hub before the Outbreak and 99% of the population there had neural implants on pretty much all of them turned into walking zombies that day. The chance that people, alive people, were still around in the city were pretty much zero.

My head sagged a bit while I said, "If your daughter was in New York during the Outbreak there is no chance that she is alive, she is either a zombie or..." I left the words hanging since no one wants to hear that their loved one might have been eaten. The shelter idea didn't sound plausible, a bunch of people stuck inside a confined space for that wouldn't last that long. Now that I think about it I remember seeing the Bounty request on the board but I hadn't even glanced at the reward since, New York! No one would willingly go to New York.

Janice almost jumped up from the sofa "Our daughter is alive! We have been in contact with her since the Outbreak which is how we know about the shelter and the other survivors, 12 in total, eight of them kids. We can't go ourselves and believe us that we would have. But we have her daughter, Lucy, our grand-child to take care of. She was visiting for the weekend while Tina and her class were on a trip to New York when the Outbreak happened. We couldn’t risk leaving Lucy here all alone, in case something happens; we are all she has left!" She said it with such force that I could see there being no doubt in her mind about this and the truth of her words.
Tears had started streaming from her eyes, and I could detect a quiver in her shoulders. I couldn't hold her eyes for long so I casually tried to look away.

It is something in me that makes it so I can't stand to see a woman cry, it is something basic and immediately makes me want to do something about it. So I started thinking, if there was someone alive in New York, and they had access to outside communications i should be able to find some trace of that out on the net.
If you are stuck like that then I am sure you are posting everywhere you can to try and get someone’s attention. But if no one is looking then it is hard to get noticed. I reached out with my implant to access the net looking for key words: "New York", "Shelter", "Teacher" and "Kids". It didn't take long to get a bunch of hits, so many hits in fact that I wondered how I had missed it before.

On pretty much every known message board out there I could find a thread created by someone called "Titania" asking for help saying they were stuck in a secure bunker/shelter in New York with a bunch of kids. There were even pictures of them down there, all twelve with concrete walls around. I had read the bounty request and dismissed it, hearing about it and seeing their pictures shouldn't change anything but it did.
It was going to be hard turning away now and I was not sure I wanted to. I must have fallen quite for a while when I was 'browsing the web' and I heard Janice say "Mr Ebenezar?!". People can't see when I access the web through my implant and they must have thought I was spacing out or something.

Janice was sitting back down and had wiped away the tears, Paul was sitting next to her with his head a bit lowered. He didn't expect any help and was just trying to be there for his wife. That more than anything decided it for me, he was trying to be there for his wife like no one was there for his daughter. They couldn't leave to help and they needed someone to step up.

"I believe you, but New York is far away and convincing anyone to go there will require more than pleading words". I wasn't being greedy, I couldn't do this on my own and it would be a hard sell to my team. I would need some really good incentives with which to convince them.

I could notice her regaining her steel, "Paul here owns a smithy (I knew it!) and can barter for almost any resources you might want. Name you price!" She said it with steel in her voice but I could detect the hope it held. Paul still didn't look convinced but he looked up to meet my eyes.

Time to take the plunge, "I only have access to one vehicle, we would need two more for the eventual extraction and enough ammo for a small army. Added to this we need enough gas to get to New York and back with three vehicles in total. All this would need to be paid up front and in good faith." I take a short pause, making sure they understood, before continuing "Upon successful completion the reward shall contain gas resources, equal to the amount paid up front, and three months food rations, the good stuff, for each team member. The contract shall be signed and agreed with the Bounty Office".

This was pretty much a fortune and even though the husband might be a smith I wasn't sure that they would be able to yes to these terms. But this was the least I would need to convince the rest. I might have gone a bit too far by promising my services before checking with my team. But I also knew them, deep down they would want to help.
Hell, Izzy and Wiley were two people I had picked up while on a bounty request in Nebraska. A few weeks later they had looked me up and asked to join my team, I think they wanted to help other people in the same situation they had been in.

Paul shocked me by speaking up for the first time, "You would really try to get her out of there?", he said while looking straight at me. I kept his stare for a while, showing I was serious, and nodded. "Then you have a deal. By when do you need the supplies?"
"We should be ready to move in three days" I answered him. He nodded back indicating that he would have the supplies ready. As they went out the door Janice turned to me and mouthed a silent 'Thank you' before following Paul down the street.

I suddenly remember the tea I put on when they arrived, I didn’t even remember to offer them any. Somehow that seemed like a minor detail and a long time ago. I pick up my vintage DeepOnion mug with the DogLover logo (a classic) and pour me a cup. A lot of prep-work was going to keep me busy in the next few days. So much for my planned R&R, and tomorrow's meeting with the rest of the gang was going to be an interesting experience. Blade was going to have a fit but since I was fairly sure that the rest of them would be on board he wouldn’t want to be left out of the action.

Guess we were going to New York!

Chapter four coming soon...

Re: DeepOnion: An "unbiased" Review, Part 2

I think the main problem of this project are those airdrops. Many people get that coin for free so they can sell it instantly and get some profit. They don't have a good reason to HODL. So the price won't go up so much.

Well the AirDrop is one reason to HODL. Since the amount of $ONIONs you get are in relation to the amount of coins you hold in your wallet: around 4%. So if you sell them off you will get less the next AirDrop. That gives a big reason to HODL. Since it is also a PoS coin you get annual 10% interest on your coins when staking.

But the main reason to HODL is because it is a good project imo.

Re: China calling for a wider ban on Crypto currency trading ?

Yes, the market in China is still great. But because of the unreasonable actions of state officials, China may lose one of the largest pies in its history in the future.
Look, the mining companies are already transferring their assets to other (more friendly) countries to the crypto currency.

They are reasonable. But to themselves and to the state as a whole. They don't care about what their people are going to say. Remember their was somewhat an uprising or protest back in the last 80's. That's how oppressive the Chinese government are.

Indeed the Chinese market have already a contingency plans to move out of Mainland China because of such threat. And even Jihan can't lobbied the government so that he can protect his assets.

Right now they are really in the front of the war against bitcoin and they have justify their sudden move of turning its back to the crypto that all their people loved.

Will it even be possible for China to fully stop cryptos?! I mean there are alternatives that can circumvent any bans. At least for regular people there are ways around this. I am not sure how it is for companies but I imagine that even buisnesses will want to keep their transactions confidential.

Couldn't this be a step towards moving away from BitCoin as a main cryptocurrencies and looking to other alternatives?! Cryptos that have traceability protection and for the refular citizens something to circumvent any intternet bans that migth exist. TOR based cryptos like DeepOnion, Verge, Shield and Spectre might be alternatives in this market. but even TOR traffic can be blocked and for that you need something more like OBFS4 and/or MEEK. This might slow the traffic down but at least it currently can't be blocked. So far I think it is only DeepOnion that support both OBFS4 and MEEK for possible use in China.

If this is the move that is going to happen I have no idea but if stricter bans are placed on crypto markets in China, buisnesses and people will find other ways to invest since it is something that looks to be the future.

Crypto-Zombie Novel - Chapter 2: Sleeping Zombies Are a Thing
by
Ebenezar64
on 22/02/2018, 19:49:32 UTC
If you haven't read Chapter One yet you can find it here on Steemit: Crypto Zombie Novel - Chapter 1: The Great Outbreak, Here Is How It Started!
You can also find Chapter One here on BCT: Chapter 1 BitCoinTalk Link

Chapter 2
"Hey Ebenezar, are you sure about this?" asks Nebu. He's not a man that normally questions my judgment but staring down at the warehouse with a horde of sleeping zombies outside I could kind of see his point. Yes, I said sleeping zombies but no, they are not lying down with their eyes closed. They are more in a dormant state, standing absolutely rigid and at attention, just waiting for something (or someone) to draw their attention.

"I have verified the shipping documents with DeepVault, the items we want are in that warehouse" I answer him knowing that is not what he meant. But I am also 100% sure that the what we are looking for are in there, the shipping documents have been verified against the digital fingerprint on the Blockchain and the end destination matches the warehouse address.

"The generator parts are worth 2 months of food rations for all of us and enough gasoline to drive from here to New York and back." I say to illustrates my point, it's a damn good bounty. Not that we would ever go to New York, that place is a death trap! Better out here in the wilderness within the confines of the Gwinn Sanctuary.

"We have already accepted the request and spent resources getting out here, so we are going to get that package." I continue hoping to end the conversation. Nebuchadnezzar, Nebu for short, just grunts in response, which is what he always does when he has nothing more to say on the subject.

It was true that we needed this, our rations were running low and the gas spent getting here and back would pretty much deplete our supply. The information also hadn't come cheap, I might have a mountain of digital currency but it is not an infinite supply and can't be squandered. The verification using DeeVault hadn't cost me a thing but it was getting hold of the shipping documents that had cost a pretty penny and I didn't intend to see them wasted.

How a person like me goes from being a computer programmer to chasing bounties might be seen as a fair question. In a world where technology is on the decline not much need is called for in the programming department and a guy's got to make ends meet. Having a fortune in $ONIONs (digital money) makes it possible to get a hold of a bunch of useful information, like the location of this package, but sadly it doesn't put food on the table. Ever since the Outbreak people stopped using currencies in the real world, all trades are now done in manual labor and tangible things. Not much use with lumps of gold or pieces of digital code when you are starving.  Which is why I am out here doing good old-fashioned legwork.

The money does, on the other hand, come in very handy in what remains of the digital world, in there information still has value and requires a global currency system like DeepOnion to function properly. Can't really send supplies around the world anymore, FedEx and everyone else is gone. Not that I would ever let my team (or anyone else) know how much $ONIONs I really have, or my real name for that matter. Privacy and anonymity saved my ass during the Outbreak and that is a lesson I have taken to heart. No one on my team shares their actual names since who knows what someone (like me) could find out with that information; loved ones, weaknesses, etc... Information is power so everyone plays it close to the vest. Well, everyone except for Wiley but he is... well he is Wiley.

Back to the matter at hand; warehouse, zombies and a package that needs extracting. Lucky I got a team of 'trustworthy' mercenaries to help me out. It is not like we weren't prepared for this eventuality being experienced Bounty Hunters here! I laid out the plan in its simplicity, which all great plans are. We needed someone to draw the attention of the zombies and lure them away from the warehouse, while the rest of the team go in and secure the package. Wiley being his usual cherry self, volunteered to become bait for the zombie horde seemingly enjoying himself. Sometimes I have a hard time understanding that man...

I did mention that zombies are smarter than the average movie blockbuster undead but they are still more animals than people and I don't know of any predator that can resist a running prey. While Wiley is distracting the horde the plan is for me, Nebu and Blade to make our way inside while Izzy stands watch outside with the minivan c ready for extraction. We each got Walkie-Talkies to keep communication lines open in case we need to move out quickly.

Time to put the plan into action. Wiley circled around the hill covering our position and took off running west away from the warehouse, making some noise along the way. It isn't long before he's got the attention of the horde. What was once a bunch of standing corpses suddenly takes off, in unison, at full speed in Wiley's direction. A few stragglers were left around but they shouldn't pose much of a problem to us. Zombies can take a helluva beating but they are basically human and a few shots in the right spots will bring them down. But they don't register pain or feel fear so make sure your shots count.

We made our way down towards the warehouse taking care of the stragglers with a few pinpoint shots. One of them had on a cool vintage T-shirt with the DeepOnion logo saying "HODL". It reminded me of a happier time of hopes, dreams and regular life. But that didn't stop me from putting a bullet in him, sentimentality in this world will get you killed. With the way ahead cleared we made our way into the warehouse.

My information gave me a serial number but nothing more so we split up and started searching; I wanted to be in and out as fast as possible. Luckily the storage system was easy to figure out and I started making my way in the right direction. The package was said to weigh about 20 kg (yes we are using the metric system now, it only took the end of the world, go figure) so it would be possible for one person to carry. Before I even made it halfway to where I thought the package was being stored, the sound of gunshots filled the warehouse. I wasn't overly worried, my team could handle themselves but it confirmed that some stragglers where still around and in the warehouse searching for prey.

I picked up my efforts and within a minute I was in view of the package which was on the top shelf of a 3m high stack. Not finding a ladder in sight I resolved myself to start the climb. Now and then gunshots rang out in the warehouse but I ignored them, instead focusing on the task at hand. Climbing up was the easy part, getting the package down without dropping it proved more trickier but by lowering it down a shelf at a time I managed to get it down without damaging the content.

I radioed in for everyone to proceed to the exit and get ready to bail out. I headed for the entry point but I barely got a few meters before something hit me hard from the side. A female zombie had come out of nowhere and decided I was on the menu. The package tumbled to the ground and I was on my back trying to keep the girl from biting my head off. At times like this adrenaline starts to run high and it is easy to panic and do something stupid, luckily this wasn't my first time in this situation. Might be a strange thing to consider lucky but right now I was thankful for my experience. I had to move quickly before  more of them arrived so I made sure to keep one of my arms between me and the teenage zombie. I gathered my legs to my stomach and in a concentrated effort threw her off me (she was only about 40kg, not much more than skin and bones so it wasn't too hard). While she recovered and prepared for another lounge I pulled my gun and shot her twice, one in the heart and one in the head. She immediately stopped and dropped to the ground, unmoving. That might have seemed a cruel thing to do to a teenage girl but believe me, there was nothing anyone could do for her and this was the only mercy left in the world. I went back to pick up the package and made double-time out of there. Running with a heavy, blocky package isn't easy, doing it while hearing zombie screams coming from the dark behind you makes it even harder.

Blade and Nebu were waiting for me at the exit, Blade had a bite mark on his hand and Nebu had some faint claw marks on his chin. Guess they had been in some tougher quarters than I had. I wasn't worried about them turning into zombies and attacking me, whatever the neural implant had done to make these people zombies it wasn't anything contagious (thank god for small favors). They aimed and fired in my direction and I heard the bullets hit home in something behind me, I kept on running.

We made our way outside where Izzy was waiting with our ride. We all tumbled in and set off at a high pace while more zombies streamed out from the warehouse hard on our tail. Safe in the relative comfort of the minivan we set out for our rendezvous with Wiley, a few clicks (km - look at me using military jargon) down the road. Again I wasn't particularly worried, Wiley was an excellent runner and even had one of our precious mobile phones in case he needed to get into contact. Yes, mobile phones still exist and some function (to a limited degree), the satellites are still up there and as I mentioned some of the communication structure still exist from the "old world". But phones are rare and using the network cost $ONIONs I would rather save.

Wiley got in touch, via radio, telling us where to meet up, he was still on the run since some of the zombies were proving to be quite persistent. We picked him up without any issues, Wiley still smiling, and headed back to the Gwinn Sanctuary. Boy, was the council going to be glad to see us, one of their generators had been out of commission for a week and people were getting restless. The generators provided heat and power to the community and with one down people had to ration. Thereof the big bounty and us being out here in Zombieland.

On the drive back I looked around and smiled for myself, I have a pretty good team that I can trust and rely on. At least as far as a security conscious, semi-paranoid individual like me can trust anyone. After about an hour of driving the Sanctuary came into view, 'Home Sweet Home'. Collecting this reward would mean I finally get to stop hearing Wiley and Izzy complain about the canned beans dried jerky for a while. The promised food rations were on freshly grown produce from the Sanctuary farms and even a nice addition of some livestock. Until you have been through a zombie-apocalypse you'll never appreciate the luxury of fresh food. I've been dreaming of a nice juicy steak with fried onions for months!

Chapter Three coming soon...

Crypto Zombie Novel - Chapter 1: The Great Outbreak, Here Is How It Started!
by
Ebenezar64
on 22/02/2018, 19:40:59 UTC
This is a new project for me where I combine some of my interests, cryptocurrencies, zombies and story-telling. Would love some feedback on what you think. This is the first chapter and the second one is already out. A link to the second chapter can be found at the bottom. You can also find it on Steemit and feel free to share the love if you think it is any good: https://steemit.com/deeponion/@mobbe85/chapter-1-the-great-outbreak-here-is-how-it-started

Chapter 1
It all started a few months ago... But then again, in these days, who even cares about exactly when it happened... It happened and here we are!

"The Great Outbreak" people call it. This was back in a world where technology reigned and everyone was in some way tapped into the digital world (worlds to be specific). Everyone used their implants to interact with everything, payments using digital money (cryptos/cryptocurrencies), starting their car, unlocking their door and even monitoring their health. Heck, I was one of them... But because of my work I had made sure to have safeguards in place and keep an extra layer of security between me and the digital world.

At first no one knew for sure what it was that caused it, the Outbreak was widespread but still seemingly random. Some said it was gods punishment while others blamed the implants. It took a fellow computer programmer to figure out the truth.  Someone had managed to introduce a virus on the bigger crypto blockchains: BitCoin, Ethereum, Neo, take your pick, almost every single one of them was vulnerable. The virus, later named "The Phage", could trace the neural implant of the users, access it and trigger an overload which induced a permanent zombie-like state.

I can't imagine someone would want to create a world of 10 billion zombies, but that is what happened. A mistake maybe?! Overpopulation was a huge problem and maybe someone thought they had found a solution?! Again it doesn't really matter, here we are and just trying to survive. I don't think it really matters who caused it or why but what is important is to deal with the aftermath. At least the zombies aren't contagious, apparently it was a one-time thing, but it is going to take time to cull out 10 billlion of them and sadly they aren't the shambling messes as in the movies. No, think more animal level intelligence with human reflexes and speed, with one goal: raw meat for food.

Contrary to popular culture, all technology doesn't just disappear in a zombie uprising, some stuff is still working, running on solar panels, geo-thermal energy, wind and water power etc... It's a lot less than before but there are some working computers out in the world (even something resembling a global communications network) and radios of course. Those of us alive that still have our neural implants are few but it gives us the ability to remotely access what remains of the digital world. As a source of information there is still no better place.

Most needs have reverted to the basic essentials: food, shelter, work and information of course. Digital money is still a commodity used between digital information brokers but the virus is still out there and the cryptos that are safe to use are few and getting fewer. The largest one to survive being DeepOnion. Being a former supporter of the DeepOnion project (back in it's infancy) I guess I could considered it lucky that I have a sizeable fortune in the currency, which is part of the reason why I am accepted as the leader for this rag-tag group of 5 survivors.

What to do now?! I guess apply my skills, selects as they are, to try and survive in this brave new world that someone has created for us. Maybe there is still room for the skill set of a former computer programmer, even in a world where not much of the digital remains and the dead roam the streets.

The ponzi bubble will pop once the "free airdrop" (which is neither free nor an airdrop) is over, possibly a bit earlier or later. Expect some wash trading from the devs to artificially inflate the price so that they can dump their load easier.

I can image that there will be a drop in price close to or after the last AirDrop since some will sell off their coins for profits. But I don't think it is a bubble or anything but that it will be temporary, then the price might stagnate while people see what will happen. As development continues as normal and releases come out the price will start to rise. Especially if it gets added to one of the larger exchanges since then it will probably take off.

That is my opinion but I am glad you shared your even though it is not in line with my thinking.

Deep Onion today at 3.79 Damn thats looks good ! I cannot wait for the airdrops to finish to get on Binance Just hope the price stays the ssame this is my number one pic to HODL !!!!! Show me the money . Whats it take to get a free onion ?
My personal goal 5 to 10,000 onion going in balls to the wall on this !!! This is a solid team thats growing !
Then I am going to treat myself and buy that anonymous mask . Let the games begin ! I am the Chosen One

That is some serious dedication. I am aiming for 2-3k $ONIONs and hope that will bring me riches Smiley. I also think DeepOnion looks good now, it has a downward trend but most ALTs has that now. BTC is regaining some of it's dominance and maybe preparing for a bull run. But the ALTs will follow suit.

I had a look on the long-term trend of DeepOnion and it looks like it is about to complete a full Elliot Wave with the 5 steps up and the ABC correction (in BTC price). This is looking at the time period between end of Nov until now. It is hard/impossible to predict exactly how low we will go but I think the time to turn around should be soon. The another long-term positive trend can start that might break new ATH. Lets hope Smiley

hey guys! just been reading through website and i saw something like no ico or crowd-sale conducted on this project, all tokens are going to be airdroped to members participating in the airdrop campaign,  i thought of been a part of the campaign but i realize you must have at least a certain amount of onion in deeponion wallet to qualify for the drop and the amount of onion you have determines the quantity you get (not realy happy with that Sad)

so if there was no crowd-sale in this project, how did some hodlers with huge amount of onion comes to have so much in there possession? this part is not very clear to me, except there was a private placement of some sort, between love the deeponion platform, looking like the next generation of bitcointalk but more advanced Cool

The AirDrop has been going on for 31 weeks. The people that joined from the beginning have of course gotten a good deal of $ONIONs. In the beginning every AirDrop participant got an equal amount of $ONIONs.

As DeepOnion became available on exchanges and to avoid people dumping their $ONIONs the DeepOnion team changed the rules for the AirDrop saying that you needed a minimum amount of $ONIONs to participate and that your "share" in the AirDrop depends on you $ONION holdings. This also gave a chance for investors to come in and buy up more $ONIONs to increase their holds.

So, as it functions today, is that you get approx 4-5% interest on your $ONION holdings every week (if you are a part of the AirDrop). That means that the long-term investors and those that have larger holdings gets a bigger part of the AirDrop every week.

Without this shift in rules the coin would ahve been prone to very large "dumps" after each Airdrop. This gives people an insentive to HODL since they will egt more each week because of it. Think of it as weekly staking!

I know that some are concerned that after the final AirDrop there is going to be people "dumping" their coins since the weekly interest will be gone. That is a slight risk but the community support is strong and since volumes are still fairly low and a "major" dump is improbable to occur. A sudden dump will jsut give a chance for the real supporters to buy up some cheap coins. I will be ready for it to pick up some cheap $ONIONs at that time. You still have the staking interest of 10% annual that is also an insentive to keep HODL your coins.

The question you should ask yourself, do you believe in the technology and in the community support? My answer is yes but you should make your own decision. Take a look at the Whitepaper: https://deeponion.org/White-Paper.pdf

I hope thise helped answer your question

I know it's really hard to predict the price of a certain coin however, I would based my prediction based on the current price chart of Deep Onion where I observed it has a stabilized trend in the market. I would speculate that the price of Deep Onion would reached as high as $30.00 in the Q4 of 2018. With the current involvement in the bitcoin community, this will make an impact to the price growth of Deep Onion.

I think $30 is a conservative estimate but it is true that the climate has changed somewhat since BTC had the retracement. I will look into doing another Price prediction in a month or so where I look at my earlier prediction and follow up. I still hold by my estimates since the really big releases for DeepOnion is still upcoming.

Re: More $ONIONs in AirDrop and Stealth Address upcoming
by
Ebenezar64
on 16/02/2018, 21:31:08 UTC
Interesting ! so this is like bitblender but for onion right ? Our personal data will be completly anonymous

As I mentioned with Stealth Addresses your $ONIONs can be "unlinked" from your ID. If you make sure to receive all of your $ONIONs in a stealth address it can never be linked back to you. It is still not 100% anonymous since the ONIONs could theoretically still be traced through the network. It can't be linked to you but a set of $ONIONs can still be tracked through the network.

The issue of "traceability" will be solved with DeepSend and Zero-knowledge proofs which are planned for Q2.

Onion are claiming/promising anonymous features from months, like Deepsend and they don't deliver anything. Regular alt sh*tcoin with TOR exits.

Stealth Address could change this, but I will look on only after they released it. Promising doesn't mean delivering.

In October DeepSend was planned for Q4 but the DeepOnion team realized that it wouldn't be possible and they moved DeepSend to Q2. This move was done way back in November last year and since then they have never "promised" that DeepSend will come any sooner. The plan is still for Q2 as it has been the last few months. You have probably heard mention of it for months since people are excited but everyone is saying that it will come in Q2, not sooner.

The addition of Stealth Addresses came as a recent announcement but it sounded like we won't have to wait long. There was even a Demo of it in the weekly update so the technology is already working, they are just fine-tuning it.

DeepOnion team has been very busy lately with: WooCommerce plugin making it possible to integrate $ONION payments for web businesses, updated desktop wallet to latest TOR version (0.3.3) that is integrated with OBFS4 and MEEK for circumventing regions with TOR blocks. All this in the last month or two. That is a very active development team, much more than I have seen almost anywhere else.

The complaints I hear about not being anonymous yet, come-on the project is 7 months old and is just getting started, it takes some time to get everything rolling... Now it is rolling and rolling fast. Upcoming are: Stealth Addresses, Android Wallet and Vote Central all coming in Q1. That is something to look forward to imo.

More $ONIONs in AirDrop and Stealth Address upcoming
by
Ebenezar64
on 16/02/2018, 17:44:51 UTC
Some interesting news going on this week for DeepOnion. The developers hinted that "Stealth Addresses" will be coming very soon to DeepOnion to protect your anonymity when sending/receiving $ONIONs.

Another piece of news is that, starting next week, the amount of $ONIONs in the AirDrop is going up to 300k $ONIONs every week. So next week all participants can expect a slight rise in their $ONION distribution. That is something I am looking forward to!

Going back a bit, what are Stealth Addresses you might wonder?
Stealth Addresses is a way to do transactions "outside the public BlockChain".  To try and explain it, a stealth address is something you can use to receive $ONIONs without it being linked to you. The stealth address you use to receive funds is used by each sender to generate a new, completely unique, address on the blockchain.  Even though the sender creates the new address,  the funds inside can only be accessed by you. An outside observer will not be able to link that address to your wallet or "original" stealth address.

An example
I have seen numerous people to try and explain it but it always left me a bit confused. So I ventured out to try and give a more complete view of it through and example:

So let's say you have some $ONIONs in a wallet address (Original Address) but due to postings on forums and previous transactions done you feel that people know that this is your address and people can see what you are doing with your $ONIONs.  Maybe you also want to receive some new $ONIONs to your wallet (from Sender 1 and Sender 2) but don't want it to be linked to you. Here is where Stealth Addresses can come in. For an illustration see the figure below.

You start by sharing your Stealth Address "New" with Sender 1 and Sender 2 (No need to share the address with yourself, you already know it). Based on "NEW", that you shared Sender 1 and Sender 2  each generate unique addresses: "Gen 1" and "Gen 2" and send the $ONIONs to the respective address.

To follow up you yourself generate three separate addresses (based on "NEW"): "Org Gen 1", "Org Gen 2" and "Org Gen 3" to which you split up your existing $ONIONs (in some random distribution for obscurity). Only you yourself will  know that "Gen 1" and "Gen 2", "Org Gen 1", "Org Gen 2" and "Org Gen 3" are all connected to "NEW" and accessable only by you.  Why this is the case is basically due to the fact that only you have access to the private key of "NEW" and the private keys of the generated addresses all are based on "NEW".

Who knows what?!
From the BlockChain perspective the transactions all went to these "generated addresses" but only you as a recipient knows that these are all linked to you. Each sender only knows about their own generated address and that it is linked to you. But Sender 1 won't know about "Gen 2", same for Sender 2 about "Gen 1". Neither Sender will know about:  "Org Gen 1", "Org Gen 2" and "Org Gen 3".

An outside observer that has been monitoring your "Original Address" will know that you have sent $ONIONs to  "Org Gen 1", "Org Gen 2" and "Org Gen 3" but they can't be sure if those addresses are all linked to you or to some friend you gave something to (or something else entirely). But the observer will know nothing of "Gen 1" or "Gen 2" so he will have no idea of the total amount that is linked to "NEW" or even the address of "NEW".

As you can see it is not fully anonymous yet but at least you can make your $ONIONs "unlinkable" to your ID and any single address.

The great part is that you can easily make it even more obscure by generating another Stealth Address "New 2" and send funds from  "Gen 1" and "Gen 2", "Org Gen 1", "Org Gen 2" and "Org Gen 3" to newly generated addresses from "NEW 2". It will then be even harder for an outside observer to link which addresses belong to you.

I hope this shed some light on what Stealth addresses are and how they can be used to "unlink" the connection of your $ONIONs to your personal identity/wallet address. Share the likes if you enjoyed the read and look forward to further updates on DeepOnion!
