Brief dev update:

The new website is live. We have streamlined it. The one we had had terrible load times, likely leading to a higher than normal bounce rate. The new one is 3 times faster in measured load times. The erc20-DNA functionality is working on the wallet, the part that is now being built is the UI in the wallet to hook into that API and make it available. I will alert you when that becomes available, it should not be long. The design of the new site is geared toward conversion of visitors to users, people who will create profiles and upload data. We will measure the metrics with the new site and determine how effective it is and adjust.

Briefly, on the roadmap this year are:

1. Release of erc20 Integration and new website (planned in March)

2. Cool new survey tool for researchers to add custom surveys with payment in DNA to individuals - this will really extend the flexibility of the platform, and afford new income stream (planned by May)

3. top secret new B2B product as part of partnership with Microsoft (by 3d q)

4. additional files types and native browser. In addition we should expect some significant new partnership initiatives to become realized and announced in the next month or so, plus the beginning of our Whole Genome Sequencing sales engagements packaged with the Gene-Chain

PR Update - CEO, Dr. Koepsell


PR strategy going forward: Everything we do from now on will be based on metrics, with the measure being: does it increase the user base. We can track that using google analytics, and our google cloud console, and correlate to the appearance of news articles, etc. Blog posts, and crypto-focused articles so far have a negligible impact on user base, with the highest recorded jump in users and websites being about half of a percent jump beyond background. Only articles in mainstream press, which our PR guy Chris Powell is constantly working those connections (e.g. Financial Times, Wired, Reuters) have shown to improve acquiring of users beyond background over 1% - background being our ongoing google ads campaigns) and those contacts take a while to nurture, but we are constantly working them.

Actually we are not giving any fancy usecase to the blockchain but we are using it as a store of transactions and the DNA utility token is the way of payment to purchase genomic data profiles on our marketplace. Its never too early and if you do your research about what we are aiming to do you will find out that Encrypgen is the first with a working product, we launched the Gene-Chain earlier and our goal is to increase the number of transactions on our marketplace (atm its arround 78) and bring more data profiles to the Gene-Chain. With what you said, it is definitely interesting. I would probably research how much data/store of transactions you can add to the blockchain and being cost-effective. I would also like to know how you can intelligently extract the data profiles from the chain (Like searching with parameters). I hope to see more developments on this.

I would definitely recommend you to ask this in the Telegram directly to the CEO, Dr. Koepsell. He will give you an answer on this questions.

Basically, customers of the Gene-Chain will negotiate sharing and payment for data via our tokens. Because they are limited to only 100 Million tokens ever, the value grows as traffic and demand grow on the Gene-Chain.

Yes, our business has been focused on the development side of things, so we we're late to the game for the ICO, and learning as we go. Doing it all in-house and grassroots. The bonus changes every week. We started at 80k GENIES per BTC the first week, diminished 5% per week.

    What does the Encrypgen project aim to do?

    What does Encrypgen have to do with genetics?

    What problem does Encrypgen solve?

    Encrypgen solves multiple problems at once. Before Amazon shopping existed, people would drive to each store separately, buy their products, and continue driving to other stores. Amazon created an online marketplace where customers can conveniently buy most things in one place from the comfort of their home, and have them delivered. Encrypgen has a similar aim, which is to create a secure, convenient ‘marketplace’ for institutions to easily obtain large quantities of sequenced DNA, while being given ‘consent’ by the providers automatically included in the transaction.
