Welcome to the provably fair seeding event for Meckabit.com, upon our first beta launch we were provided with excellent feedback from the community, along with comments on how to better optimise the site both from a physical performance perspective along with aesthetic amendments that would better cater to the community, we have taken this feedback on board and will continue to develop and enhance the site through the use of your comments and insight.

We have hashed (sha256) a secret 100,000 times. We will use these hashes in reverse order to play the rounds. In each round we will combine this hash with a block hash that as of the moment of this publishing is not yet known and will be determined by our chosen block.

In layman's terms the process will be as follows.
- Server secret (private key) is fed into sha256 (open source algorithm to create random seeds) 100,000 times
- Game will play through these in reverse order
- The 100,000 randomly generated hashes will be mixed with the client seed which is the hash from block number 504213
- Thus giving users confidence in the crash point generation through the use of random data from both the sha256 and the client seed from the block which has not yet been mined.

The source code used for hash chain creation and random multiplier generation can be found here (will be inserted soon)

JSFiddle Link (This tool will be implemented into our site for convenience) - https://jsfiddle.net/1L1uqcgv/641/

The client seed will be the hash taken from block 504213 which has not yet been mined.

Future Seeding Rounds Listed Below

- The next client seed will be taken from block 507630 (Which has not yet been mined) for round 200-300k
- For round 300k - 400k the client seed will be taken from block 510000
- For round 400k - 500k the client seed will be taken from block 510001
- For round 500k - 600k the client seed will be taken from block 510002
- For round 600k - 700k the client seed will be taken from block 510003
- For round 700k - 800k the client seed will be taken from block 510004
- For round 800k - 900k the client seed will be taken from block 510005
- For round 900k - 1000k the client seed will be taken from block 510006

If you are concerned I would recommend speaking to people on this forum that can help accelerate your transaction, they will most likely do it for free for you. It will be down to the fee that has been taken for the transaction, nothing to worry about but someone may be able to accelerate it for you. But I can assure you that 4 hours is nothing to worry about.

Re: Do I hold?
by

This is a risky way of investing IMO, unless you are willing to hold your coins for the long term (years), and if you are happy to do that I suggest that you pick coins that you have done your research on and actually offer something to the community. I would instead recommend majoritively holding your coins in BTC keep an eye out for upcoming positive press releases and buy into coins that are due to move in the next week or so. It will minimise your risk and help to generate good returns.

I would say to begin with put you $100 in BTC and hold it on an exchange, do some research on basic trade patterns and ensure that you have a tab set up for upcoming news releases within the cryptocurrency area. To begin with, instead of placing long/short trades simply just buy into a currency that looks reliable, has good volume and has ideally recently released a positive bit of press. This will minimise your risk and can most certainly lead to good returns.

I do not think that the investment opportunity is lost, hindsight is applicable to many investments, not just the cryptocurrency industry. Coulda, shoulda, woulda, hey I should have bought shares in Apple ten years ago, but hey, I'm here now. Do what you can with what you have now.

I would still say that Bitcoin is a good investment, as with any investments there is always a risk, however, im sure that with the support bitcoin has from the community it is not going away anytime soon. If you don't invest now, you'll only regrets it in a couple of weeks time. Take Action!

It is never too late to invest, providing that they spread their risk. The process of adding another 'nest egg' so to speak if an excellent idea, in fact, it may help them to have a more comfortable retirement along with potentially providing further benefit to their family in terms of inheritance later on down the line. I say go for it!

Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.?
by
Ethan_Locke

I think that this will begin to naturally take place through corporations and businesses instead of being directly marketed by Bitcoin. More and more retailers that begin to accept the currency will naturally begin to include it in their marketing and advertisement. Thus allowing it to become more reputable, for example, companies such as Amazon and Apple add prestige and trust.

I do not think that it is greedy to HODL bitcoin, people all around the world hold different assets in different classes, every human has the right to be able to make investments and hold them until they either reach their goal or desired profit outcome.

This is an impossible ask,  no one can begin to determine the effects post Segwit2x as we do not yet no exactly what segwit 2x will bring.

I would suggest that if you are looking to invest, invest now! By no means does past performance guarantee future success but  providing that you manage your risk accordingly I would say its a smart move now, otherwise you may well end up regretting not acting right away.

Re: When will banks start a war against bitcoin
by

on 11/10/2017, 14:08:07 UTC
I think in terms of starting a war, the time for that has passed. Banks now have an opportunity to align themselves with Bitcoin and begin using it in order to provide good returns for both bitcoin users along with the clients of the bank. Its a war that I cannot see them winning.

If they dont begin to act in their clients best interests they will ultimately begin to loose their speculative investors for alternative wealth management companies etc.

Use coinmarketcap < this tool is brilliant read through the list familiarise yourself with the characteristics of the coins that catch your eye. You need to look for coins with potential to increase in volume drastically, this can be caused by new coins featured on new exchanges exposing them to alternate traders.

My portfolio consists of ripple, monero, litecoin, maidsafe, factom, eth, dgb, bts and a few other altcoin that operate in areas that I am personally interested in. There are so many to choose from its important you understand the coin and its future purpose, plus it never hurts to read the white papers.

Be Safe, Ethan.

Hey ! , I invested in minexcoin and stox . actually ico from minex is already over , i am waiting to be displayed on a exchange . I invested in it because it looks awesome and have good information for mining . Also you have a new feature "parking" and you can park your coins and get 70% bonus per year that is awesome Smiley

Awesome, I invested in Minex also =] for pretty much the same reason haha! What made you invest in Stox? What other altcoins are you awaiting?
