Well, as long as they abide by it that's fine. Bi-weekly would have made last Friday, the 6th, the date that an update should be posted. I was actually taking that into consideration while making trades, which is why I wish they'd stick to the numbers with updates when they use terms like that. That said, I am pretty embarrassed that I didn't notice that question on the list above my post.

I really don't understand this mindset. We have a shitty situation and now have an established company stepping in to try and help resolve the issues. I've asked this before of people voicing similar opinions, but what more do you want? The fact of the matter is, people aren't able to get their coins at the moment. No amount of yelling and stomping your feet is going to change that. But then when it's stated that instead of one person (Ukyo) trying to solve the problem, we get an additional company to help as well, this is somehow seen as a negative?
If Neo & Bee somehow manage to lose more coins as a result of stepping in, then you'd have a case. But in literally any other scenario, their assistance isn't hurting anyone. Quite the opposite in fact.
I don't understand what you don't understand. Nobody doubts that the chances of salvaging some btc from WeEx got higher by Neo & Bee stepping in. What people are worried about is how this will affect Neo&Bee. All people see is that Ukyo lost a lot of btc and then Neo&Bee steps in to try and save the situation. It is very hard to imagine that this can be done without actually spending some Neo&Bee funds. What this will buy them in the long run is not at all clear at the moment.
My speculation is that they're hoping for it to play out like the Internet Credit Union with Bitfloor. Imagine at the end of this if every person hoping to get paid back from WeEx has to open an account with NeoBee in order to claim funds. Pick up a massive user base right off the bat.
Well given the current huge wave of noobs who ABSOLUTELY want to mine (at least that's what I see in the French subforum), I still think we could have another year.
I had a "thuggish" friend of a friend come over the other day going on about "this bitcoin thing" and how he and his brother were going to start "mining money." I'd have felt bad if I didn't give him the obligatory explanation about difficulty increases and ROI but he wasn't hearing it.
There definitely may be a chance, though I wouldn't base my strategy upon that hope.
And this is why you should never buy this type of bonds above their buy-back value. You never know when one of these operators is going to "cleanly" shut down and screw you out of your money.
This was explicitly stated from the very beginning. Anybody buying above that price did so at their own risk. TAT is hardly "screwing" anybody with this decision.

I feel like self mining may become a big thing once again for AM if the exchange rate remains as high as it is or higher. Mining hardware will necessarily be prohibitively expensive for the average miner. The combination of that fact with the new immersion cooling tech and new gen chips around the corner might make for an interesting 2014.

Btw on that very important blockchain based exchange will be zero fees, if I read it correctly.That's how I read it too. Hopefully it's a translation thing, that wouldn't make much sense to me otherwise.

Would it be possible to do direct shares without using an exchange (like what Asicminer does)?
I sent out a email concerning it, and in short the answer is yes. I just need to find out what's legal and what is not. A great deal of it would depend on whether or not you're located in the US or not.
Seems like a good time to be leaving the US.

So will Hong Kong law be the determining factor in facilitating US investors or would US law still cause problems? Or were you referring to Bitfunder stipulations when you made a comment earlier saying that you may or may not be able to continue servicing US customers?
If the law in Hong Kong allowed you to do so, but Bitfunder said that they would not accept you if you did, would you consider a move to a freer exchange or convert to a direct share format?
We have discussed with our lawyers our situation and options for us to proceed in setting up Havelock as a long-term viable enterprise. We are now pursuing these options, but cannot provide a firm time frame as of now. We were hoping that we could be more specific but this is all the information we can provide at this time.
Do these options include dropping US customers like Bitfunder just announced? If this occurs, will they be allowed a reasonable amount of time in order to get their affairs in order? If this occurs, will said customers be required to pay fees in order to liquidate their assets?
