Prospect of CNG gas
by
Flydolphine
on 04/03/2025, 17:33:15 UTC
For a country grappling with high cost of fuel and over reliance on importation of fuel.It is of utmost necessity for her to look inward and harness the abundant natural resources available at her disposal foremost of which is CNG gas.
This gas is a right fit at this point in place of petrol, diesel powered machines and generators.with this gas, there will be decrease in greenhouse emissions,it has minimal running cost, and its the cleanest burning fuel which makes it environmentally friendly. We can also derive it from billions of cubic feet of gas flared annually.

Though, the Nigerian governments lntroduction of it in a bid to alleviate the sufferings  occasioned  by the hike in price of pms is encouraging, a lot still needs to be done.
There is nothing wrong in starting something new here.countries like India,Pakistan, Iran,Brazil,Thailand etc have gone through it.lets emulate the rights in its implementation from them, note the wrongs and improve upon them where necessary to make it work.

Re: Fight against corruption
by

on 13/04/2023, 08:55:02 UTC
How easy for a new president who is been elected to fight corruption in a nation where all the systems of government is been corrupted,  like in the force,  and judiciary,  even the politicians.

Having  the mind to stop corruption is not easy in a nation that corruption  is seen as nothing, making an attempt to do so some politicians will do everything to frustrate the agenda. Do you think a genuine president can easily end corruption of this level ?

My country is plagued with corrupt political office holders.these people do just anything in order to have their way.they bride Judge's with huge some of money to pervert Justice, the military even electoral bodies are not spared. The president at the onset of his administration said his core agenda was to fight corruption.one can hardly imagine how a sitting president hoped to achieve that when his cabinet members and inner circle have a track record of looting national treasures.truly having the mind to stop corruption in a nation where corruption is seen as nothing will require much more than just promise's

Re: I love politics and I want to be clean politician!

on 04/04/2023, 09:39:54 UTC
Is it possible to become a clean politician? I really love politics and sometimes I feel I can do better than our leaders on sits. I don't how its sounds to you but do you think if I have the opportunity I will be worster than my current leaders who concerns is to consume the wealth and resource of the country. I can be a better politician and I must make a mark. I pray you support me.

In few years to come I should be recognised in my country as one of the youngest ambitious and creating president my country ever have. I want to prove to people that life is a function of mindset and everybody have good mindset but only few use it.

I wish you well in your aspiration in a political career but the truth is politicians have so failed the citizens of very many countries that they can not be taking for their words or paper manifestos.i can only support you when I see your track record in previous political offices.truth is, politics will always and forever be vulnerable to corruption as the game of politics is widely a game of money exchanging hands, and deals being made and in most cases dirty deals.its possible to get in clean but the bone of contention is maintaining cleanliness while in.you must also know that your integrity will be tested severally through decisions you make, counsel's you seek and implement and the circle of influence around your cabinet.if Daniel of old did it presumably you can too.

Even though I can't buy products directly with Bitcoin on jumia.Bitrefill enables me purchase jumia gift card with Bitcoin or other crypto's.with this I can make as much purchases as I so desire on jumia and it's such an amazing feeling that comes with it.

Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress]
by
Flydolphine
on 24/03/2023, 12:07:28 UTC
I am surprised there haven't been any threads opened about this yet.

In recent months, Russia has massed hundreds of thousands of troops and other military equipment on the Russia-Ukraine border. It is well known that Russia wants Ukraine to be part of its county, however Russian dictator, President Putin, has claimed that the troop mass is part of a training exercise.

The US and NATO allies are sending military equipment to Ukraine to help repeal an attack, and there is some talk about possibly sending troops to the region.

Update 2/18/22:
It appears there may have been some kind of false flag operation in Dumbas, Ukraine, an area controlled by a separatist group, today, possibly involving an alleged bombing of the car belonging to the leader of the separatist group. It is possible this is part of some kind of false flag operation to create a pretext for an invasion.

President Biden today said he believes Putin has made the decision to invade and will start an invasion in the coming days.

Update 2/21/22:
It appears an invasion has begun

Update 2/23/22:
It appears there are some kind of bombings in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine

Same way he deployed hundreds of thousands of troops over a year ago with the so called aim "
demilitarize ukraine".president Putin had top most on his agenda toppling the government of Ukraine's elected president.he hoped to over run Ukraine effortlessly and seize the capital kyiv there overthrowing the president volodymyr zelenskyy but it's rather mission unaccomplished.thanks to the bravery of the Ukrainian soldiers and NATO for constantly resisting the Russian enemy forces

Re: Bitcoin is a treasure.

Good Day medium, there is something I will want us to be aware of since bitcoin is a life-changing investment some people are taking it as property, I say this because I overhear someone making a call and saying he has 2BTC and that's is his property.
Now that bitcoin is more valuable in most countries, that shouldn't be a property it should be an investment, those who see bitcoin as property should learn more or read more about bitcoin and how it works.
To me, bitcoin is an investment and also a treasure, I don't know if am wrong or right.
But if someone may ask you, what do you call BITCOIN?

Simply put; Bitcoin is an asset similar to a property.it digitally represents your ownership of a value or right to something.bitcoin is a digital asset and your asset is your property.

Re: Who is most reliable person?
by
Flydolphine
on 22/03/2023, 09:36:33 UTC
When it comes to bitcoin wallets is totally a kind of private pants for females and boxers for male. Bitcoin wallets is like ATM pin which is assigned to individuals which banks do not respect another person on your behave. Is personal identification number, that's what bitcoin wallets, private keys and seed are. But to some point because of love, trust and spouse lips, we give out our details freely for this person to access.

Can we also show our bitcoin key to someone closer, maybe love, spouse, next of kin?
Better still between someone; who introduced and taught you about bitcoin, a friend or family member and your children who's most preferred and reliable person to give out our information about your bitcoin?

It's okay to share your private key(s) with spouse based on trust and proven integrity.but to share these keys with someone that introduced you to Bitcoin is an emphatic No.as a matter of fact that's why it's called PRIVATE key,so it ought to be private.its even perfect to keep your private key(s) offline or rather secure them on paper wallet or hardware wallet rather than on a device to prevent your wallet accessed via the internet.this is so important because your private key is an integral part of cryptocurrency therefore my advice is that you need to treat with utmost caution just to protect your asset.

I first heard about Bitcoin in 2016.at that time BTC wasn't very expensive ($200+) .i was thrilled about the prospects then but couldn't afford to invest much because I was preparing for my wedding.although I later started mining on a bitcoin client and was able to make profits daily even though it wasn't much.it was really interesting then and I value every time invested in learning and understanding cryptocurrency.

Re: will bitcoin continue to rise
by

on 18/03/2023, 17:20:02 UTC
hello, all my friends... now the price of bitcoin has increased quite a lot... and now bitcoin is in the range of 27000.
but I want to ask do you think the price of bitcoin will continue to rise until it reaches 50000 or not... ?I want to hear it from all of you...
and if I sell my bitcoin now I'm afraid the price of bitcoin will fly even higher... I want to hear your opinion...?

Hopefully it may continue to rise to $50000,even though no one really knows to be exact but for speculations.but I'm of the opinion that it will keep rising as the price tends to significantly increase this year.for sure BTC has a history of bouncing back even though it remains a volatile asset.

Re: Early bitcoin investment for my baby
by

on 15/03/2023, 10:59:04 UTC
Few days back, I came across a post encouraging people to use the money well wishers gives to newly born babies and mothers as a gift  to invest in bitcoin for the baby,  then I was pregnant, just delivered 3rd of march. My baby and I has made up to $50 if converted just 10days after giving birth.  I am definitely going to use the money to invest in bitcoin this year for my baby so that in the next 18 years my baby will be proud of the decision I took for him.

Im so glad I discovered this platform this year, I believe I am going to achieve a lot from this forum

Below are lovely pictures of my cutie, my bundle of joy.🥰

A million hearty cheers to you for safe delivery and the joy of motherhood.its an amazing future plan you have mapped out for your child.interestingly, cryptocurrency can be an exciting investment opportunity.the returns on investment with BTC will far outweigh the interest gains on kiddies savings account in a bank for that long.you therefore have the responsibility to nurture and grow this asset for this child until he/ she comes of age then the wallet is transferred.you would still have to school the child growing up to become financially literate;to understand how skills like money management, budgeting and investment can be used to make effective financial decisions so as to avoid waste.having said that,it's also important to understand the risks you could face like price swings, fraud and lack of crypto insurance.but in all, every type of investment involves some level of risks.there are predictions of increase in the value and price of bitcoin in the near future.a good step you have taken as one could only wish the best for you

The assurance of quick returns is one enticing bait scammers use to attract their victims.its important to check and double-check to be sure of where you want to put your money.it pains to loss funds to this so called online investment.but instead of the pain of losses I would recommend the pain to search, research, thoroughly investigate
and background check before putting your funds in.caution is the key word here.

Re: Try to save money while you still can, will you ?
by
Flydolphine
on 11/03/2023, 17:31:23 UTC

Well, the inflation in my country now is not extremely high but has already damaged the economy. The cost of living is increasing and does not seem to stop. Last week one of my friends lost his job after working in the same company for a decade. His life abruptly changed, putting him in a place where he could not support his family. If you were him, how would you survive this tough time ? As a friend, I am trying to help him as much as I can and meanwhile, I am planning to save more money to prepare for the unexpected challenges in my life. What about you ?

Well if I get you well.your friend work in a company for a decade and suddenly lost the job and his life is negatively affected.hmm..i guess he lacks good financial intelligence, management plan and prudence.this calls to mind the need for proper management of earnings through savings just in case financial emergency arises as in this pitiable case.one can avoid debts and loans if you are disciplined enough to start saving early.this ultimately will keep you off financial stress, cushion against sudden job loss and give you a firm sense of financial freedom.cultivate the habit of savings, you can fall back on it in situations like this until you pick up again.

Re: Why is money ruling the world?
by
Flydolphine
on 10/03/2023, 19:15:24 UTC
In today's world that we live in,money rules because money answers all things.the main reason behind this statement is that money makes life very comfortable.a million dollars man is respected and loved because he has such influence and power to control everything.a poor man with no money in his bank account can't affect much that's why money rules the world.without money life seems immobile.without wealth everything becomes futile.money though has its pros and cons.one must be cautious while chasing it as I have come to realize that the crave for money is insatiable.the more you have it the more you want more.money is the wheel that sets our dreams on motion.in all money is good but the love of it is evil

Re: Will accepting cryptocurrency as a payment be profitable for business?
by
Flydolphine
on 09/03/2023, 11:31:45 UTC
Bitcoin opens opportunities for greater business scalability, because it is a more acceptable type of currency without unnecessary conversion processes (time efficiency).
But not transaction fees is the main reason. Bitcoin actually has a built-in fee (tx fee) which throughout history has been a source of skepticism in retail business use cases. Because of course more influential on the consumer side. The L2 (lightning network) solution still seems to have some complexity in its implementation for the average merchant. If bitcoin is going to be implemented in business, it should remain an alternative for now.

As a business owner you must be aware that your customers are subject to Capital gain taxes on any cryptocurrency used to pay you.it is also worthy of note that you as the business owner is not directly involved in this process as this will opens up varieties of options to the customers when they decide to pay you.if you have to restock your supermarket for instance,at the point where you need to buy, will the seller accept cryptocurrency from you? if yes, what if there is sudden high price volatility just between the time difference from when you sold and when you want to buy.these are factors to consider.

Re: Caution Newbies Bitcoin is BTC
by
Flydolphine
on 09/03/2023, 10:54:01 UTC
Yesterday i came across an unfortunate incident and i never thought people will be so dump here Sad

We are having a PSL season 8 (a very popular cricket tournament where local and International players play the game) and it is being broadcast over the national sports channel locally and also worldwide.

One of my friend told me that he has heard about bitcoin as it is being advertised in that tournament and he asked me if he should buy Bitcoin as it was advertised in PSL ?

I was shocked as I never saw a bitcoin advertisement on national TV but later the whole story fold up.

Actually, they were advertising the Bficoin BFIC coin to which my friend thought that it was bitcoin.  Sad I told him that this is not real bitcoin but he insisted that I was wrong. I told him that bitcoin has 21 million supply and he told that this coin also had the same supply https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/bficoin  Sad

He was of the view that since BFIC was advertised on national TV, it is a real coin and Bitcoin is just a clone or a scam.  Sad
He was not agreeing with me as he said if bitcoin was real, then it would have been showing at the PSL matches and not this coin.

This is how the young generation can easily get detracked because of a lack of knowledge. I was really sad to see people don't want to accept reality or even research.

Firstly, your friend isn't well knowledgeable about cryptocurrency and should have being more interested in learning rather than engage in pointless argument.for the fact that Bitcoin and Bficoin both have the same sounds "coins"at the end doesn't make them the same. Bficoin is best Fintech investment coin and is different from BTC . Bitcoin has a higher market value and is more widely accepted and recognized.

Re: How will you feel when your government make BTC legal?
by
Flydolphine
on 08/03/2023, 09:54:54 UTC
My way to class this morning with some of my lovely course mate, someone raise this question that if our government decide to adopt BTC or make BTC legal how will i feel? I told him that the day our government will announce that BTC is now fully legalized in the country, I will throw a big party to host all the bitcoiners in my environment to join me to celebrate. If your government decide to adopt BTC or make BTC legal in your country, how will you feel?  Will you be among the people that will be angry because i know there are some people in our various places that think BTC is a scam digital currency which is not true, will you go to make them to understand it better in a positive way?

Of course it will be amazing to have my country join the list of countries like el Salvador and the central African republic that have made Bitcoin a legal tender.it will be good because monetization and authentication of Bitcoin does not require central authorities or third parties and it's safe and secure.it will ease the rate of doing business and suffice for the cashless policy that my country is fighting so hard to implement and yet haven't been able to achieve it for so long now.

Re: Why we should note sell our votes
by
Flydolphine
on 06/03/2023, 18:01:59 UTC
Looking at this country now ,not all people want to move from the state we are to the next level

Selling our votes is like selling our life's for the years the president will be in seat ,

Selling our votes will only increase curruption ,I thought everyone was saying that we should avoid bribing and curruption too,but it's not like the way we said it 😩

Selling our votes will make things hard for our country ,what we should be looking at is the next years we will spend,if it will be a proud one or a disappointment ,some are just thinking of the present situation by selling their votes ,in the next years to come they will be the ones to cry out .

We should really think about the poor too, some are just greedy and thinking only of themselves and their benefits, this is our country ,if there is any way we make progress it's by our own selves not other countries coming to make decisions for us.

Most of us says that we wished our lives or our country will be as that of other outside country ,but the question is are you really making this country move too,or you are one of those that are dragging this country behind ?? When it comes to bribing and curruption do we resist it my not selling our votes for selfish reasons that will not last

Let's discuss about this ,I also need ur opinion

Your vote is your legal power.your vote is your voice.selling your vote makes you speechless and a political slave

Re: Do you believe racism has come to stay!! ?
by
Flydolphine
on 05/03/2023, 15:57:39 UTC
The majority of American adults believe that more than 150 years after the 13th Amendment ended slavery in the country, the legacy of slavery still affects how black people are treated in modern American culture. According to a recent Pew Research Center study, more than four out of ten respondents believe that racial equality has not been sufficiently advanced in the country. There is also some doubt that black people will ever enjoy equal rights with white people.

Racial and ethnic discrimination still occurs on a daily basis in many parts of the world.i'm of the opinion that someday, maybe in no distant time racism " oppression" of a racial group will be a thing of the past,it will not stay.though there are different forms of racism today that may not be very visible to the ordinary eye's except when looked at closely.i believe that the cure for this ungodly attitude is genuine love void of jealousy, bitterness and hatred, acceptance and the practice of the principles of equality.its high time we together kick this menace of our society cos racism is dumb.

Re: Education as the bed rock of a country
by
Flydolphine
on 05/03/2023, 15:15:59 UTC
Education is the bed rock of the any society. A country that wants to develop must concentrate on the investment of education. It is a serious business for the end result is great. Taking education as a serious business starts from the  budgetary a nation has for it and this is why
UNESCO has given a stipulated percentage of a yearly as 26% because that's the way a country can develop and take advantage of their environment.

In Africa, picking Ghana, South Africa and Nigeria as a reference point, the first two mentioned have done far more better than Nigeria in budgetary allocation.

In comparison, Ghana's budgetary allocation to education is 18.6% in 2018. This according to google from world bank data

Quote
Ghana - Public Spending On Education, Total (% Of Government Expenditure)

Government expenditure on education, total (% of government expenditure) in Ghana was reported at 18.6 % in 2018, according to the World Bank collection of development indicators, compiled from officially recognized sources. Ghana - Public spending on education, total (% of government expenditure) - actual values, historical data, forecasts and projections were sourced from the World Bank on November of 2020.

Also, south Africa has been budgeting more than Nigeria in education with 20% going to education and this is evident in there standard of education.

In Nigeria, the story is not the same as the budget for education isn't fairing any better.

Quote
The troubled sector receives a meagre 5.6 per cent of the total budget, much below the recommended benchmark.

The educational system looks like no proper attention is giving to it and it witness a lot of brain drain and her best brains are found in other countries studying and doing great.

The consistent lecturers strike for demanding better funding and well functional system can't be overemphasized. You can have better reading with the source
https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/422829-buharis-2021-budget-share-for-education-is-nigerias-lowest-in-10-years.html

I strongly believe this assertion because education facilitate increase in productivity in science, arts, human capacity development, mental rejuvenation required to better a country etc.when an entire country is educated growth and development increases and unemployment decreases as citizens are supposed to be educated and equiped with the right skill meant to create jobs than to seek one.education leads to economic growth and stability of a nation.education enables one to maximize his or her full potential and in return give back to the society.check every developed country today and see how flourishing there education sector is.this completely eradicates any form of argument against the subject matter
