hi. great project. I am mining OCTA. I am happy to see the project is going on steadily.
I have a little question(s) for the newbie I am (bear with me): if I go to 1inch for instance, and want to add OCTA as a new token (to see if it is possible to swap it), it asks me for a token address (contract?)  that I could not find. Can you provide this address contract ?

The next version is ready as a release candidate: PhoenixMiner 6.2c.

You can download PhoenixMiner 6.2c from here:

PhoenixMiner_6.2c_Windows.zip
PhoenixMiner_6.2c_Linux.tar.gz

To check the integrity of the downloaded file, please use the following hashes (you need the last file PhoenixMiner_NVRTC_Windows.zip only if you want to mine BCI with Nvdia cards under Windows):

The new features in this release are:

  • Using the newer AMD RX470/480/570/580 kernels even on older drivers (Windows driver 19.2.1, or newer; and Linux driver 19.10, or newer). If you want to revert to the older kernels on these drivers, use the new command line parameter -clabi 1
  • Added a workaround for the SSL pools with self-signed or expired SSL certificate: you can use the new command-line parameter -weakssl (for the pool specified by -pool), or -weakssl2 (for the pool specified by -pool2), or the new WEAKSSL: 1 option for the pools in epools.txt.
Note that this option must be specified independently for each pool: if you use -weakssl on the command line (or in config.txt), it won't affect the pools specified in epools.txt. Instead you need to add WEAKSSL: 1 for each desired pool in epools.txt
  • Fixed a crash with Nvidia cards on some older drivers (e.g. 460.79, and 460.89). If PhoenixMiner crashes or exits while showing Initializing NVML... try the new command line parameter -nvmalt
  • Validated support for AMD Windows drivers 22.4.2
  • Other small fixes

For more robust integrity check, you can use our GPG public key, which was verifyed with ETH transaction from our main devfee account as explained here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2647654.msg56755869#msg56755869. Here are the signatures for the files in this release:

Hey there, just to let you know,

I am trying this update hoping to solve a minor issue about fan speed on a 6800xt I am experiencing.
Indeed constant fan speed had not been applied by PM, instead the fan speed was somehow capped at ~30%rpm. I got around the issue by asking PM to not mess with fan speed (-tt 0), I just had to open Adrenaline once PM itself started to mine, and apply a profile/set the fan curve as I wanted. Since then the fan speed follow the curve in Adrenaline. which is fine for me.

So I am running 6.2c and it runs fine.
for my fan situation, I still have to use Adrenaline curve. Although there was a little change in the sens that instead of going to 30%rpm when I setup fixed fan speed (-tt 52), PM made it run at ~62% oddly enough, but it was constant speed and better than 30% Smiley
Even tho when the miner started, it recognized my 52% setup as it is stated in the text when mining starts.

https://i.imgur.com/YaRzRA0.jpeg

adding to -tt 0, I also tried to add -fcm 2 but did not help. I wonder if -tt 42 would have resulted in 52%cfm, maybe will try it later on. For now I'm ok with my 'hybrid' solution.

now +33h PM working great ~64.4mh/s / ~48°C 51%rpm / 116W (MPT) and the fan issue resolved by asking PM to not manage the fan speed with -tt 0 (I also later added -cfm 1 but yet not tested). this means the fan speed is managed by Adrenaline which doesn't bother me. The only scenario that is questionnable is if windows crash and restarts. This is why I saved a profile in MSI After Burner and checked the option to maintain the OC when Windows restarts.
So problem solved. happy to come back to Phoenix.

hi folks,
I have a 6800xt on Windows:

I tried to setup constant fan speed with
Code:
-tt -50
but did not work as fan speed lowers & stayed at 30% ! I then tried target temperature
Code:
-tt 49
which seems to works, even tho I would have prefered a constant fan speed. Anyone of you know how I can manage to make it work ?

 I have setup
Code:
-cvddc 1100, -cclock 1500 and -mclock 2150
but I can't find how to setup Fast Timing in Phoenix Miner, I have to
go to Adrenaline to activate it. is it possible to do it in Phoenix Miner and if yes what is the command ?

is it possible to reduce the text in the cli ? no verbose or no new block info kind of cmd ?

This is what I use to control fans on all of my cards:

Code:
-tt 60
 -ttj 68
 -ttmem 73
 -fanmin 50
 -tstop 86
 -tstart 68
 -fanstop 0

For Nvidia cards, the fan minimum works exactly, but all AMD cards are running with 2-3 % less.

For fast timing use -mt 1.

You can find all command lane options and more information on how they work in the Readme.txt.

thank you mate,-mt 1 is exactly what I was looking for fast timing, and it works great.

otherwise I still don't know why but I can"t set a desired constant fan speed. what ever I set up, the fan ends up going at 30% rpm only ! Only think that worked is like you do, setting a target temperature.
I tried to change it from -tt 49 to -tt51 but oddly enough it seems I can't change the value too here. I tried other than 49°C it always stick to 49° when mining.

About constant speed I also tried -fcm command:
Code:
-fcm <n>
Set fan control mode (0 - auto, 1 - use VBIOS fan control, 2 -
   forced fan control; default: 0)
-cfm 2

but didn't work, the fan speed still running at 30%.
Anyway, at least target temp seems to work, so it will do the job for now until I find out what is going on and a better solution.
thank you again for your help. If anyone have an insight about why I can't setup a constant fan in Phoenix, would be great.

great results BUT it will lock and lock again & again non stop
you will have to lower your oc until it becomes the same hash as previous versions of trex.
nice try but failed (unfortunatly)

i have Ccore: 1085 or 1185 / Mmem: 2200 or 2400 / PL: 0

No problem locked core you are just newbie in OC...or bad card

what are you speaking about dude ? ccore 1085 etc... ? what gpu are you speaking about ? are you confused ?

I can confirm that indeed, it is very unstable. trex dev himself recognize it:

Code:
A few tips if you experience frequent LHR locks:

Make sure you don't have monitors connected to your LHR cards, or at least turn them off during miner start up to let it calibrate correctly. Avoid using RDP if it puts load on your LHR cards.
Do not delay applying overclock - this will mess up calibration results and the miner will display unrealistically high LHR tune values.
Try reducing memory overclock of the GPU that frequently trips LHR.

So what do you do when it have "frequent locks" ? You lower your mem clock, again & again until this release become unsuable and you're better to go back to 0.25.8
nice try tho

as already mentioned, without strong knowledge in electricity & electronic, I would advice you to not even try because of real danger during reparation and after.
Now I see maybe one exception for this rule: if it is only a fan related issue. If it is just your fan that stopped turning but your psu still work, replacing the fan is imho feasible.
I have encounter the problem where the fan stopped working but gpu still fed. I used an external fan controller to which I connected the fan and this psu is still functioning right now.
but tbh if I could I would have bought another psu. for the moment all is good and I hope it will still be ok

hi, thanks for replies.
I was first using xintensity -1, after reading sxemini reply I used xintensity 78 which indeed lowered the stales and a little the hash rate. now around 75.5mh/s which is still better than what I had (73.4mh/s with nbminer)

now I have 13 stales for 141 shares.
https://imgur.com/a/hHhg7CD

I will have to continue lower xintensity for stales to disappear I guess. fair enough.
I didn't find out the fixes for stats and api tho. maybe I should try to use 11_4 or 11_2 ?

anyway great miner, tbh I'm not the best tester, but definitively best hash rate perf I ever got so far.

hi.
my 1st times trying tbm and it's going fine with a 6800xt. some issues tho:

- can't make remote api work
- no stats
- no colors & the text is not aligned somehow, compared to screenshots I've seen here
- can't say if my stall ratio ok: 114/0/21 ?

I'm using Windows, tried 1.32cuda11.5 version. here is my bat file. about the api I tried to go to these urls:http://127.0.0.1:4068/miner, the browser failed to connect.

Re: Can't get 3080 LHR to mine more than 60-62mh/s and it's locked to 200w
by
FomoMiner
on 14/11/2021, 21:26:08 UTC
I think your cclock is too low, it is capping your hash power.
mine is at 1055mhz cclock and 1240mhz mclock (although I'm locking the core clock which should be better in term of efficiency and temp)

you can try to add more cclock first and see, then if you want, instead of cclock & pl, I suggest you to use cclock command (in miner, or in windows cmd with nvidia smi, or with msi after burner).

with my 3080 gigabyte vision I get consistent 73.5mh/s with this:

1240mhz mclock
1055mhz lock clock
no PL nor cclock setup because when you use lock clock it manages the power itself.
power draw is 220w (but with last nbminer light variation between 208w to 220w but it's ok for me), temp 40gpu/72vram
lhr tune cmd is at 75

nbminer does not manage lock cclock so I use nvidia smi:
smi nvidia: open cmd window in windows then:
#first list your gpus:

nvidia-smi -L

#note the number/index of your gpu. for instance gpu number 1 and cclock locked at 1055mhz:

nvidia-smi -i 1 -lgc 1055

#if you want to reset to default values:

nvidia-smi -i 1 -rgc

what's the model ? some mb are stubborn. I have an aorus elite v2 that at first barely accepted more than 1 gpu. I learned to know it , the x16 slots do not accept risers and I use them only with ribbon riser x16 and gpu directly connected on them. I've 2 m2 slots, the first works great with an adapter but the 2nd one never worked. I finally used a x4 splitter and now I've 6 gpus on this mb.
if you tried all settings in bios, maybe try to use ribbon riser, m2 adapter, connect gpu directly on your x16 slots and try the adapter x1pcie to x4 usb on one of your pcie slot that works.

you say there is no signal in your display, I'd make sur your pcie slot of your gpu is powered:  I would connect a x6pcie (from the psu) on the connector named " POWER_CUT1 ", we can see it on the 4th&6th photos  which should be what powers the first pcie gpu slot (where is your gpu)

I would connect your display hdmi to your gpu hdmi connector

the red light seems to be on the (msata?) disk ?
maybe you can try to remove and re seat it again, or remove this disk and boot without it to see if you can access & see the bios, and if the disk is faulty just use another one (sata one, ssd, hdd or even usb stick with os on it)

I never had a riserless motherboard but this is what I would try if I were in your case.

Re: What 9GPU+ Gaming Motherboards are you guys using?
by
FomoMiner
on 19/10/2021, 12:21:45 UTC
you will hardly find a gaming motherboard ready to accept 9gpu BUT
if you find one with 6 pcie + 1 or 2 m2 nvme slots + the use of pcie extender (1 to x4 pcie), depending on the config 'motherboard+cpu) then you can achieve +6gpu, at least 7, 8 or even 9 or more.
you will have to use m2 adapter to pcie and the pcie extender x1pcie to x4pcie
.
so in this scenario your goal is to find gaming mb which has the more pcie available and m2 slots, like for instance this one:

-Asrock B450 Steel Legend AMD  : x6pcie (2x16slot + 4 x1slots) + 2m2 nvme slots
- MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max : x6pcie (2 x16slot & 4 x1) + 1 m2 nvme slot

it works great. now will you be able to use all the 4 slots ? depends mainly on your config cpu & motherboard. for what I understand it can be limited by the number of lanes still available in your system.

Hi,
I have 3080 lhr, started with Trex without unlocker, then went with NBminer 39.3 and now I'm using Trex 24.2 which gives me the best results so far.

GPU Model: 3080 Gigabyte OC Vision
ETH Hashrate: between ~69.5mh/s to ~72.5mh/s at ~220W - 45°C/~78°C at 61%rpm
OS / GPU Driver Version: Windows 10 / Driver 470
Mining Software: T-rex 24.2
Config or notes: lock clock:1100mhz / mclock:1250mhz / because of lock clock: no pl nor cclock. lhr tune:71 / lhr mode: off

I was using NBminer:

GPU Model: 3080 Gigabyte OC Vision
ETH Hashrate: between ~67.5mh/s to ~70.5mh/s at ~220W - 48°C/~78°C at 62%rpm
OS / GPU Driver Version: Windows 10 / Driver 470
Mining Software: NBminer 39.3
Config or notes: lock clock:1100mhz / mclock:1250mhz / because of lock clock: no pl nor cclock. lhr tune:70.5

At start I used Trex 21.6 without unlocker:

GPU Model: 3080 Gigabyte OC Vision
ETH Hashrate: ~54.5mh/s at ~180W
OS / GPU Driver Version: Windows 10  / Driver 470 (not sur)
Mining Software: T-rex 21.6
Config or notes: lock clock:1040mhz / mclock:1240mhz (not sur, maybe 1200 or even 1180) / because of lock clock: no pl nor cclock. lhr tune:71 / lhr mode: off

Hi.  I'm new here and wondering if anyone can help with this.  I can't get t-rex miner to work at all on any coins.  I have no problem with lolminer or nbminer but for some reason keep getting this when I run T-rex.  I'm on windows 10.
"WARN: WATCHDOG: T-REX DOES NOT EXIST ANYMORE, RESTARTING..."

seems to be antivirus related. your av is deleting your trex exe file somehow, or windows defender. be sure to create an empty folder that you will exclude on your av then add trex in it.

should do the job
Ya I tried all that as that is what I did with lolminer and nbminer but those never gave me the same message.  I even turned the firewalls off but the same message.  Tried different drivers and different versions of t-rex but always the same outcome.  This one has me stumped and I've been trying to figure it out for days

damn !
some ideas:
- running trex as admin
- make sur to add trex.exe file's path in bat file inside " ", eg:
"C:\Users\admin\Documents\mining\_T-rex\trex.exe"

other than that I can't see why it wouldn't start. if I find anything that can be useful I would come back.
