Re: Which one do you choose?

YEah I would try and trade the Bitcoin if possible - but if something needed BTC to be purchased then I would use the BTC to use in the marketplace too - it all depends on what is being trying to be done at the time.

Re: LOOKING TO INVEST MY LIFE SAVINGS NEED ADVICE
by

I really really hope that you did not invest your life savings into cryptocurrency, please tell me you did not! Unless you had been one of the lucky ones who bought back when the Bitcoin/cryptocurrencies were really really cheap either back in 2017 or earlier on in 2018 and managed to make good gains - in which case lucky you.

I'm glad that your risk did pay off but it for sure seemed extra risky borrowing money to put back into Bitcoin to get that money you lost initially. Glad it worked out for you though.

The Bitcoin is definitely mined but the resources to do the mining is enormous these days cause of all the ASICs and all the mining power needed to do so... Mining is needed to keep the network going but for sure trading is easier - but you still need new Bitcoins.

Re: your own factors behind an investment

I do try to base my investments on fundamentals, the teams involved, likelihood of success, the financial skill of the team, the technical skill of the team, what is the chances of return on my investment. Try to buy the new coins is like angel investing almost. However there are too many scams out there.... Yes too bad that poll ended early

Re: Why does it call "market will never sleeps"?
by
FreeOxen
on 14/09/2018, 17:42:20 UTC
Forex market is often called the market that never sleeps as there is always a market that is open in the world but that market technically opens only for 5 days a week in each country. Cryptocurrency is a true market that is open 24/7 regardless of the country you are in. I hope you packed enough sleep to last you those late nights up watching cryptocurrency Smiley.

You have to be careful about what exchanges you trust - there are many out there that are just dodgy, some are just outright scams. There are many examples of exchnages taking people's money and running. There are many reputable exahcnges though but remember even size of exchange doesn't nesccesarily guarantee safety.

Re: Main reason behind crypto currencies red market in 2018
by
FreeOxen
on 06/09/2018, 11:33:47 UTC
Oh a salary in bitcoin - would mean people would have to sell their Bitcoin to get cash if they were not using crypto - though if people were using crypto to pay for things more then that would work out well - though one would argue, why not just pay with cash?
There must be multiple factors causing the red market... question will be how long will this go on for?

Re: Corporates plan to adapt bitcoin and blockchain?
by

on 05/09/2018, 19:30:15 UTC
If corporate companies do embrace the technology then it will definitely help to drive growth but yes the environment is too unstable to use it for that purpose of paying employees etc. The technology in itself can be used for other things without necessarily worrying about the monetary value side of it but yeah I think it'll be a while longer before we see the Bitcoin used widely.

Yes always take care when you are having to use those exchange/swap trade services - usually is best to use trusted escrows and don't directly release the Bitcoins for sure - too many scammers out there. Just do your best not to be conned out of your hard earned Bitcoins/moneys.

It is a good idea to take into account all factors affecting a market, even if some of that news might be influenced or biased or has some agenda - it might lead to some opportunities that might arise that may not otherwise have been there. But yes everything does need to be taken with a grain of salt.

Re: I can I predict the Dump and Pump of the price?
by

on 30/08/2018, 19:53:49 UTC
If you ever develop the crystal ball to predict the dumping and pumping of the BTC price let me know so that we can all join in on the good times and profit out of it haha... but yeah even the charts and other software are only so accurate. Just never put in more money than you can afford and don't go putting in your whole basket in one go...

Well you can't really predict with 100% confidence if price will go up or down - even with trading software and charts and looking at macro and microeconomic factors - at the end of the day, who knows if there is some whale waiting in the background to play around with the market.

Yeah so true... I like that opening post.
People on the record saying one thing then later one they are on the record doing another thing. Just be careful of what you listen to and think, is there something in the background influencing what is being said in the news etc. Always think about it.

I guess at least the guy was upfront about the price of the bounty - though where exactly will that money come from? Likely a theoretical value for those tokens - which more than likely is a gamble in itself - all that work, price might not hold up.

Re: Why the market is falling and why not be afraid
by
FreeOxen
on 21/08/2018, 15:19:03 UTC
Yeah there are many hidden and overt factors out there for sure affecting the market. I think that lack of retail funds that we saw enter the market at the end of 2017 reflects that depressed price too. Ultimately it is very hard to beat the market - often it beats you instead lol. Even when you hold a ton of coins the market can turn on you in a dime - and in a market that never sleeps like cryptocurrency stuff can happen even when you are sleeping!
Ultimately just remember not to overextend, do not invest more than you can afford - that way downturns don't hurt as much, hopefully.

Right now it has not been good news very much for cryptocurrency and Bitcoin in general. The SEC rulings around the ETF will affect the market for sure - it would not be surprising if the SEC knocks back the application for the ETF - would see the market go down again. But who knows.
