Pre-sale will be in 2 days? Which % of all tokens avaliable for pre-sale?
I lost track of this ICO, what are the discounts offered for Pre-Sales? And did any coins get sold in private pre sales?

Every project has their initial dump right when they hit the exchange. Investors like to invest. The smartest and most successful have an exit strategy. If that means buying at a discount and selling for huge profit first chance they get, them good for them. If the project has support and is delivering on their promises, the negative impact is temporary.
Agree completely, these discount infact are a double edge sword, from one side you want big investors but also small one. If the discountes are too big and require too much cash the small investor will bail. Unless the project is extremely solid. In this case 20% is pretty much standard.
There is a private sale allocation that features a 35% bonus but comes with a 6 month lock up period where tokens can not be traded
To come back to the demo, a lot of you were talking about. They said on Telegram that they are already showing the demo at HK Fintech, CCIC, Bitcoin.com etc but won't release it before the presale. But they already shared 2 screenshots from the demo.
Good to know there is a working product? Too bad the screenshots don't say much about the application.

Will you have some kind of recruitment/marketing team which will meet with potential merchants in person? Like a live referral system with rewards if you manage to invite someone to make their own merchant token. I am guessing its usually hard so convince someone over the internet
Yes! One of the reasons, we are holding the token sale in advance of the launch is so we can establish Business Development teams in multiple markets so that in addition to the built in user base that COTOCO provides we have more user and merchants all over the world!

They could still make a demo interface and an imitation of an internal high-speed blockchain.
An imitation is not that hard, you just replace the blockchain with a regular linked list database. But then it is not a blockchain anymore and that defeats the purpose of the demo.
But it's just to show how the final product should be like, so the full integration of blockchain is not needed for the demo, or am I wrong? I would be satisfied with seeing the product, it doesn't have to be "perfect".
We are working hard on the demo app, in its current form it does not have full blockchain integration it is just to demo how the GAT Wallet, interfaces with the GAT Market Place and Exchange and demonstrate the mechanics of buying and trading in the GAT System.
I see, that you have public pre-sale, public tokens sale. And last round will finish 15 January 2018. So, we can trading only in January?
This is correct, unless the public sale sells out before that date in which case you can start trading then.

I just read the news about the delayed token sale. I think it is a good move. More and more people are expecting demos now from ICOs.

One of the thing that must be taken into account is that fidelity is a way for companies to gain access to personal datas on consumers which is a great thing economically speaking for them.
A system like Gatcoin would prevent the collection of personnal datas by the companies or not ?

That ties in with my earlier question, what is the reason for collecting all that data on those cashback forms? I suspect companies want to collect data to analyze customer behavior. From the companies' point of view if GATCOIN prevented the collection of personal data, that would be a loss for them.
Section 2.2.7 of the whitepaper is relevant:
Consumption Patterns: by analyzing geo-location and token consumption from the GAT Wallet, enterprises will gain valuable insight into where marketing resources are best applied
Since the app is on a smartphone it would be technically possible to extract personal data (anonymized or not - and we have known for long that "anonymized" data really isn't).
Therefore, from the consumers' point of view it would be interesting to know GATCOIN's stance how to serve both the companies' and customers' needs with regards to marketing and privacy.
The part of the whitepaper you quoted is very interesting. But couldn't it be possible that these geo-location and token consumtion data is without any connection to personal information about the users. More like a general information where which tokens were used (and not by whom).
Quite right. Let them collect data on movements and coupon payments, transactions, but not personal data.
Data collection is necessary for merchants. The buyer must be able to agree or disagree on data collection. In general, the presence of internal impersonal coupons should preclude the collection of personal data. When such data is collected, it ends with annoying mailing of advertising and spam.
The question of personal data collection is something that is very important to us at GATCOIN, and to me personally so decisions relating to it are not taken lightly.
Our model allows for customers to voluntarily opt in to give us permission to store certain information relating to demographics (age, sec, home region) and spending habits (ie transactions within the GAT System) this will allow us pair them with merchants that will deliver tokens that are useful to them. The benefits to merchants is obvious here as well.
It is important to note GATCOIN will NEVER sell a consumers personal information, or use our mobile app to collect data without a users permission
Imagine lots of shops issuing these tokens, the public will start using them because they get discounts and benefits for holding them
Maybe I am getting sidetracked, but could it happen that some less morally inclined personnel might embezzle a portion of those tokens that are as you say obviously valuable?
I'm actually glad you brought this up the open nature of a blockchain based rewards system actually lowers the chance of an individual within a merchants company committing fraud, as every interaction is trackable and verifiable, unlike a traditional database system that is more easily manipulated.

So Gatcoins main target is retailers; are there any plans on how to implement the technology for them? I dont see any sales people in your team (on the website), besides 1 retail client manager.
Great question, we have not established a dedicated sales team yet, upon completion of the ico we will essentially be building out 2 sides of the business concurrently, the dev/engineering team (our founding devs are doing a great job but will need more hands to make sure we are ready ASAP) and our sales/business development team, there are a couple of us on the founding team with sales backgrounds both SME and retail but as we are planning to launch in multiple markets we will need teams in place in various locations to secure merchants and onboard them with the GAT System.

According to Wikipedia, OK cashback is South Koreas most widely used integrated loyalty program where customers can earn points across a variety of retailers and redeem those points for goods, services, and discounts with over 60,000 merchants, and 38 million subscribers on its marketing platform.
This is basically the same thing Gatcoin will be doing except they will be using blockchain.

SK Planet Japan has its own rewards network COTOCO which covers over 60,000 retail locations and 21 brands. It is over this network that GATCOIN will deploy in 2018.

Not that this is not a great deal, I think it's a great partnership which will help GATCOIN to grow fast, but are you guys also in contact with some companies in Europe or/and America?
We are by no means ignoring markets other than Japan! upon completion of the ICO we will have dedicated teams for business development who's job it is to sign on more merchants in the market you just mentioned. We know that the GATCOIN system is of use to merchants all over the world and we plan to have more merchants participating in the system by the time we launch. That being said one of the reasons we believe so strongly in this project is that we will have a large anchor client in place from the very beginning which we believe benefits early investors. I think they must have some fees.. Also part of this fees (for example 50%) must be burt - it will do more liquidity and expansive tokens.

You know what I hate? Those offers where you have to show your proof of purchase to get a bonus or a cashback. You take a photo of the receipt, fill in the form and after 4 weeks they let you know they couldn't read the invoice number or something like that. Sometimes I think they do that on purpose. Anyway. Would GATCOIN also be able to streamline that process?
Such practice happened here in my place as well but mostly it's done by the employees of the company who wants to cheat the customers. And I am sure if gatcoin will be available here, such practices can be eliminate.
This is precisely one of the reasons we think GATCOIN can help merchants and customers. Blockchain based rewards provide a transparency that makes fraud from an individual employee much more difficult and easy to trace.

We have not designed GAT Coin to be used as an in store payment currency, instead we want users to trade GAT Coin for tokens/vouchers/rewards from their favourite retailers.
