They were pretty bad and unreliable when new. So bad that Bitmain series looked good compared to them

I think 3.2c is not cheap enough. I don't mean this as an insult. Just looking at the risk/reward ratio.
4-5c is doable on larger scale in the US/Canada and usually they hook you up for free (no connection and transformer one time fee).

Of course, labor is cheaper in Kazakhstan, but mining is not labor intensive.

I advise you to start farm where you rent out Hashrate to smaller miners. In that way you can partially overcome the issues with the location.

Canaan also doesn't work for hot climates as they only specs up to 35C. As you write the reason of death for S19s is heat it could be that Bitmain just wrote a larger number even when it causes issues.

My experience with Whatsminers (M50 line) is that they just don't recover from curtailment in a timely manner.

As a result I have stayed away since discovering this the hard way. And yes I have tried fast boot etc in their firmware.

Can't comment on the "Pro" side of Canaan miners.



The S19K's flaw seems to pertain to expansion and contraction of the soldering between the chips when there are extreme temp changes.

Additionally the S17 heatsink design flaw fiasco was carried over to many of the S19K models which is utter crap.

Yes, but not if you run it in a hot place. Bitmain works up to 40C, unlike Canaan. Also they are Chinese as well.

Also the two other's pricing is pretty much just following bitcoin like BK follows McDonalds.

Too bad there are still no good (or any) alternatives. So we keep giving bitmain a fortune for questionable service + product.

For us colder weather (not cold, just colder, as we are in TX) actually improved situation. It seems that around 20C they like a lot.

The double whammy: Bitmain repair centers starting to not fixing the boards, but reporting unit as "scrapped".

So Bitmain still sucks a lot.

Unfortunately, their warranty states this for years. You send it in and they try to repair. REPAIR, not replace parts. If deemed not repairable it will be scrapped.

Pretty bad policy, but they can get away with it as there is still no better offer. After a decade, so I guess we shouldn't hold our breath.

I do agree and wrote that ASICJUNGLE is LEGITIMATE and is a good company . They did deliver the machines agreed. Unfortunately I can't change the title which is a little bit flashy, but still "be cageful" is always a good thing.

I also stated that I was our mistake fixing the minor issues and not knowing/investigating your return policy. If there is any other uncorrected/false claim I made please let me know so I can correct it.

As of the payment (which I assume you think the false claim is):
Your agent specifically asked for an invoice for the repairs we made. Why ask for an invoice if you don't want to pay it (amount were never questioned)?

I believe this is not a refusal to pay for our on-site repair, but quite the opposite. We sent invoice with cost of parts with no labor.
 

AsicJungle does offer a few days DOA warranty. But you MUST send it back even for minor issues.

Small update:
AsicJungle explained that this was a misunderstanding caused by their sales person who told us that they will pay (in writing and asked an invoice from us) for minor repairs we did. Their DOA policy says you must send it back as "trust your" customer doesn't extend as far as replacing a few $90 controller boards... To be fair, they did fix the units we sent in. Problem is that sending in cost almost more than the replacement part with used machines.

So now we at least know to not expect the payment, before this thread it was just no answer.

Mine are mix of 115T and 120T both are failing slowly under 12m warranty period.
All are the huge one heatsink on the hash board versions.

Just to share our experience if someone plans to buy from asicjungle.com.

They did deliver and overall, they are legit and easy to work with. In our case the problem was that they sold used equipment with warranty (DOA X days). Claim which they didn't fulfill. It is actually somewhat worse as they do work with you and we agreed on a fair amount (with Alex Bodromian) of which they just didn't pay. I mean after several months and many promises that they will.

Thing is, we were only brave enough to buy the used S19s because they did offer this warranty, without it we wouldn't. It could also be a red flag as they may not pay because they don't have the money.

Be careful.

It really depends. On the version on the subversion on the area you are in (humid and hot or cold), etc.

It could very well be 44c depending on the plan and place you are. Still it is a horrible price, you will need 1/10 of that to make mining viable.

Indeed these are the one huge heatsink version. I didn't know that's the worst solution. I kind of heated the falling off separated one from earlier versions.

We are experiencing somewhat high failure rate with S19K PRO machines. Hash boards start to fail (chip lost) after 3-4 months. So far about 6% failure rate in <6 months usage... (warranty repaired, but some failed again)

I mean S19J was not perfect, but K seems to be way worse.

Machines were bought new and in a few different batches (albeit close to each other).

Anyone has actual experience with these units?
