I went into the hospital for surgery and came out a few days later to this mess! Now, as a long time developer I know what "Beta" means and I agreed to the terms of service, so I can't complain about that. I will say for some things, at least while it was up it was better than CoinEX which has UI and security bugs all over the place. When an app can't do the basics of what it's supposed to do, then it's more like an alpha and I CAN'T AND WON'T pay for that any longer. I continuously ask myself "Why do we as consumers/traders put up with all of this sub-par software, the charts are a joke, no statistical analysis at all, only 1 type of order, no stop losses, trailing stops, etc...
So, I'm finally Pissed off enough, I'll create my own exchange with a "Real" API, none of these REST services that you constantly need to poll on a site just to get stale data. In the finance world you should be able to subscribe to specific market information and get it in milliseconds & not have to wait for xx seconds before calling it again. I'll create a client side trading platform first so you don't have to deal with all the web based issues and security.
Basically, I'll build the common sense, normal level of features you see in a typical stock trading platform... a quality FIX engine, realtime tick and data feeds so we can automate some of the simple trades we want to do but don't have the data or platforms to accomplish them. I'll also, create a trading API that will allow you to build quality automated trading systems that can make you money 24/7... It won't happen overnight, but fortunately I have some of the code already from a stock trading project I worked on a couple years back, and I may purchase some key components for different parts of the system.
Until then, I'll mine... only deal with reputable exchanges, and work like crazy on getting a Version 1.0 of the system up and running and available to the rest of the trading world. I won't be opening up a "beta" version like it was a regular release and exposing your money to my mistakes/bug which I guarantee you will be there.
No I don't have a name, web domain, or anything more concrete than this email and a couple of conversations I've had with a developer friend of mine, so at this point it's vaporware. I don't want donations, this will be a "for Profit" venture NOT charity and definitely not open source and I think that by taking the approach where we only make money if customers like the platform and our service we can become very successful.
And with that I am withdrawing the very last of my coins from Coinmarket.io.
