Re: Should trading be for the rich?
by
Gideon66
on 22/03/2024, 04:09:04 UTC
There are people who have learnt how to trade, practiced on demo accounts for long but have not had the money to try trading on the market, and so they have abandoned trading to try search for money first. While there are others who have too little income, that they cannot profit from the market trading, they are always worried about loosing and because of that they make mistakes with their technical analysis and end up loosing the little money they have. Should trading be exclusive to financially comfortable and rich because of how risky it is?

No, trading is certainly not only for the rich. It certainly true that most people have more capital to invest in trading than others, you can still start up with any amount you have. You should also understand that there are risk involved and there are no guarantee for profits just so you know. That's you can lose your money through this process don't feel too surprised.  There are many successful traders who started with small money they have and has made significant profit. To be successful is to learn, understand the market and come up with possible strategies.

Re: BSV trading in USA
by

on 22/03/2024, 03:41:04 UTC
I have a few (BSV) that I'd like to sell from my Kucoin account, but being located in the US, it does not seem to be cooperating.
Is there a platform that will allow me to sell/convert so ultimately I'll be able to sell and transfer the money into a US bank account?
Thanks

BSV means Bitcoin Satoshi vision . The BSV trading is a difficult fork of Bitcoin cash , and its not presently available for trading on any US-based exchanges.

That's main the cause of legal situation surrounding BSV, and is presently embroiled Ina lawsuit with developers of Bitcoin cash.

Re: Why people mostly fail in trading
by
Gideon66
on 22/03/2024, 03:30:30 UTC
Trading is not a get rich quick scheme as most newbie think, it's more difficult that we all can imagine, but their is always a way to navigate your way in trading so  as to come out profitable.
The main reason why most trader fail in trading is that they are not trained in the craft, most experience traders as they call their self don't even know how to identify the least support and resistance, talkless of knowing how to react when they see some certain chart pattern or candle stick pattern.
The skills I  believe that are  required to come out profitable in trading are;

* Knowledge: know the craft, know what you are doing, don't trade on assumption.

* Know how to control your emotions: it's very important that you know how to control your emotions like fear and greed in trading.

* Know how to manage your risk: knowledge and emotional control gives you money, but proper risk management skill protect your money and your gains

most mistakes of traders are;

* Thinking it's a get rich quick scheme or thinking that it's easy.

* Having no proper training in the craft to attain knowledge about it.

* Watching one two or three video's on YouTube by one YouTube influencer and think they are ready for it or thinking they have known the craft.

* Having no experience traders that is good in the craft to guide them.

There are many reasons people fail in trading, but mostly there are common factors that seems to be play. Most people don't have patience to succeed in long term. Trading requires focus, patient having a strategies plan to carry out a successful trade, even when the market are volatile. Many people don't understand the basic of trading, such as the risk involved and technical analysis.

Re: Do bitcoin accelerators really work ?

I had one of my transaction stuck for quite long time. I tried some free bitcoin accelerators but it had no impact on the speed the transaction. Later the transaction got confirmed on its own. So I feel that these free BTC accelerators are just marketing gimmick to sell their paid options or to drive traffic on their sites. Do you agree with this ?

Because you had a bad experience during your transactions use free Bitcoin accelerator does give the impact to conclude that it doesn't work, considering all those offering free Bitcoin accelerator I guess is not working it's just a way of selling and getting paid for driving traffic to their website .

Bitcoin Spot ETF approval is a very big milestone for Bitcoin market. It makes Bitcoin more 'legal' and attract bigger capital to this market.

A website to track Bitcoin Spot ETFs' holdings.

If you use Twitter, you can follow

We will not see instant effects from Bitcoin Spot ETFs on Bitcoin Spot market because those companies are buying Bitcoin through OTC market. Soon they will knock the Bitcoin Spot market and let's use your imagination to see how price will react.

Re: The bad habit of business in Nigeria
by
Gideon66
on 21/03/2024, 20:47:56 UTC
Some of us has been blaming people selling at market because of the rates price of things is going high every single day, yes that is true because I have found out that most of the people that is selling in our country take advantage of the rate of dollar even when they are selling. They increase the price as long as they have heard that Dollar has gone up, they also increase the price of what they are selling like the people producing Garri. This is a very popular food in Nigeria that we produce here and order varieties of food that I may not mention. they always take advantage of the price of dollar as long as Doller has gone up.And also increase the price of what they sell, even when it is been produced in Nigeria I don’t see the reason why food like plantain yan ETC, we all know that we have a lot of food that is been produced in Nigeria and Doller has affected it a lot. Are you telling me that is because of the price of transportation? that is not true because the price has technically increased from the villages that we buy this food from, which is totally wrong please I am really worried on how business owners treat us in our country, if Doller has really gone up what is the next option? is to find a way to produce whatever we are shipping from overseas here in our country and the cost will be reduced so many people can’t afford it because I am thinking that the rate of dollar affect the import and  exporter, they no  longer capable to import, because after selling the product, they already have, and convert to dollar they find out that it has no value, even when they have really make profit from what they have sold already. The option is producing in our country to make things cheaper but our citizen are very stubborn. If you want to make the country better, the only option is to crash the country currency so that the citizen will not be able to import and will focus on what we can produce. This is the strategy I have found out that our government is using but many people don’t really know.
I will be so glad if we can talk about this maybe I am wrong, right.

Yes there are all made in Nigeria like garri and plantain but we shouldn't put all blame of this sellers most of them are selling at that rate in order to meet up with the economic conditions, imagine selling at low price and purchasing an item with a high amount that total lost to them you should try and see reason why most of this people have to follow such process.

Re: Be careful when doing transaction
by

on 21/03/2024, 20:42:50 UTC
My fellow naija board greet you all!

This post  actually for everyone because no one can outgrown mistakes. Was just on my WhatsApp there's I joined back then concerning airdrop and other paying update so the admin of the group posted a screenshot a friend sent to him, in the group. So the screen shot was a conversation between him and a friend, his friend where telling him how he received 6 BnB which worth $1819.5 from a unknown wallet. And was doing the day ETF was approved so coin undergo a surge that moment so the price was bigger than now. You can see that the amount is not a small amount of money. The thing is that I'm pretty sure that the person that send that BnB made a mistakes in its public key (wallet address) when was doing the transaction. Just imagine cash you work for hours, days, or months you just lose it in a blink of a seconds sending it to a wrong address if it was normal bank he would have ask for refund but I don't think if cryptocurrencies transaction still work  that way.

Please always be careful and always do any transaction with cautious, crypto might disciving you that the amount you loss might be small in your eyes but ones you turn it to our Nigeria currency Omo you go know say nor be small money you loss so ma people make we try our best to keep our asset safe.

So you should know anything you do try as much to be careful also when trading it takes alot of concentration and focus to achieve success. The money is really huge amount and with no track because of the privacy behind crypto currency.

Every body wan make quick quick Cash .Gone are the days when youths work hard to earn a living, them no send how the money take come..nai make now scammers full everywhere...nobody is safe . Government too is to be blamed Sha cuz if you go all these government offices no workers yet they won't  employ fresh graduates .Na only God go help us
The problem is for both side the government and the greedy citizens, we safe know wetin dey right we go still support evil that's the cause of all this make I collect my share first that's what most of us do today special the leaders on the top position. Let say they have not paid salary for months and the workers keep working with no payment after calling for strick the leaders on top will just collect their share and say the matter is settled just like that which is very bad. The suffer to much is just like working with no value I bet before Nigeria can move forward it's only the intervention of God that can do that because no unit among ourselves everybody one collect him own first make the  rest people suffer.

What decrease in price? I did not even notice. However, what I have noticed is an increase in the price of almost 30% in the last ten days or so. Welcome to the world of crypto, OP!

You see price of dollar drop which causes a little drop for Bitcoin and coo trader's people who where getting $50 Bitcoin for 64,000 will be getting for 50 something thousand now you see the slit difference.

Re: What to do with 1 BTC as a Nigerian
by

on 05/11/2023, 21:05:42 UTC
It's no news that the economy of our country is draining day by day, leading to more Bitcoin advocates in the country. With the continuous hardship in the country, I bring to y'all this topic " what to do with 1 BTC as a Nigerian".

So, I once saw on a thread somewhere in the forum where these white people posted houses and cars they'd get if they had a Bitcoin and it varied from country to country. Decided to bring it to our board since we can all relate to the current price of 1 BTC which was recently over $34,000 and in our Naira currency is #27,110,056.50.

We really don't have to limit it to houses and cars only, just generally as a Nigerian what would you do with 1 BTC? Get a business, trade , hodl, real estate and many others...
Bros na truth you talk but the real matter be say if that kind money enter m my hand I go try as much as possible to make the best out of it. I know the body need flexing to we all have that gene in us good life vibes 😄  1 BTC no be year oooh I see person life don change be that ooo , I go just get one kind business when go dey bring more income.

The ones when de do ritual go de reason how to get victims when de go use for there end of year sacrifice and rumors of missing children go begin fly here and there.

The reason I decide to create this thread na base on the recent happening I de see online of recent. Just last night, a bolt driver was shot dead around my area with no clue on the course and then I came online this morning to see a video where a man's private part disappeared from him because someone touched him and supposedly took it in the process.

As we go about our daily business, let's try and be safety conscious make we no fall victim of this ember month wahala

My own opinion to this I will say this is not unusual for cryptocurrency. The price goes up and down  for pass history Bitcoin price fall and raise dropping at 50% . However It's important to know that the long term outlook for Bitcoin is still positive, with many prediction it will continue to increase in Time.

Re: Bitcoin fraudulent activities in Nigeria
by
Gideon66
on 03/11/2023, 21:19:21 UTC
In recent years niger has been know for cryptocurrency fraud. Most scammers in Nigeria used social media like Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp to decieve people into investing crypto with the promise of getting higher returns with little risk, while they will steal your money. This have lead to the scrutiny of crypto government have warn against investment in cryptocurrency. Many Nigerians today see cryptocurrencies have a way for them to over come the high inflation. This is a very important notice before investing crypto in Nigeria.
My broda fraud dey everywhere and I know why people wey dey this naija dey always think say Nigeria nai do fraud pass. For my thinking, I actually think the motive that first lead to Bitcoin being ban, no be even the issue of fraud because I believe say the matter dey related to the fact  say these government dem no fit track and tax the use of Bitcoin in the nation since at that time the technology was still new to them but with recent development the new government seems to be kinda creative when it's comes to matter of such.
I know bro but Nigeria has been know for fraudulent activities any body online and you just mentioned Nigeria they begin to see you as a scammer

Re: Educating Nigerians about Bitcoin
by
Gideon66
on 03/11/2023, 21:03:25 UTC
As I started my bitcoin journey last month I observe say bitcoin knowledge is very backward in the country and bitcoin knowledge na wetin everybody go fit acquire in a simple way. According to wetin Satoshi Nakamoto talk bitcoin is for everyone and people who become part of the technology, and that's why I'm using p2p. I come dey wonder for naija way we so I no know for your area but for my area i no too dey hear bitcoin, the thing no dey popular for my area. Most people never hear the word bitcoin for their life self, so how we go do?
Last time I wrote about a topic will Nigerians marketers accept bitcoin if legalize. I saw different comments say them go accept, but to accept bitcoin no be the problem, them get the knowledge about bitcoin? Because wetin person no know big pass am by far. People need to get a solid knowledge about bitcoin first before using it and how to secure their coins/wallet if possible make them get guide wey go guide them through because if bitcoin dey legalize for naija scammers go dey invent new methods every day just like the way scammers dey for fiat.
In essence I wan talk say make we dey teach about bitcoin for our area because as bitcoin dey grow so countries go make bitcoin dey legalize as the world dey develop with different technology and Nigeria no go dey left behind, I believe say Nigeria go make bitcoin as their legal tender one day. So make we start to dey teach the knowledge about bitcoin so that the thing no go dey new for people ear.
  • students/children I have seen many threads on children education and I also want to contribute my view, one thing I observe about children them dey very sharp when it comes to learning especially learning about technology. I go like say make we start to dey teach the younger ones about cryptocurrency(bitcoin). Teaching them about the advantages and disadvantages about bitcoin, the risk involve and everything wey person suppose know about bitcoin. Some go say wetin concern small pikin and bitcoin, so as long as the pikin don know good or bad that pikin fit learn about bitcoin, so creating the awareness of bitcoin to our children is one of the best idea.
Here are some threads about educating children about bitcoin:
     https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5438924.0
    https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5432314.0
    https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5454984.160
  • business owners: I think if you're a business owner maybe you're into selling of goods, clothes or supermakert, is best if you accept bitcoin as your pay in return. By so doing you're creating the awareness of bitcoin to your customers for example a school principal accepting crypto (bitcoin) as a school fees payment, he also stated that he believe that one day digital money will gain more acceptance than paper money so he wants to be part of the technology now.https://cointelegraph.com/news/nigerian-secondary-school-will-accept-crypto-payments-despite-regulatory-uncertainty
Lastly bloggers, if you dey into blogging, make your site dey talk about cryptocurrency(bitcoin), cause everyone makes use of the internet everyday.
My brother Bitcoin no be wetin you go just wake up learn over night and understand they are still many things you need to learn ooo just last month now you don dey feel yourself say you don understand Bitcoin and the values behind am no be so still try check some topics about Bitcoin and some threads as you talk so Bitcoin no be everyone know am maybe your area no dey exposed thats why for my side even 15 year old know wetin them dey call Bitcoin and for today so wen e be say everything dey the internet I believe many people don hear am but them fit still never understand the potentials.

As we approach the festive season...prices of things have really gone up...from food items... clothing..even household items and there is less flow of cash
What could be the actual cause? ...will the average Nigerian survive it? Well we only hope for a better tomorrow
I will say this has been a common thing now any small increase in us dollars Nigerians will just increase price of things, fuel prices which is very high now making it difficult for both car owners .this increase has make life difficult for people the salary Is not even enough to cover the needs we Nigerians need to do something about this.
