They can be used for continuous, or "base load", or intermittently as "peak installations", and can be fully operational for 4-10 weeks after deployment. Combustion of natural gas in high-efficiency turbines with aviation fuel derivatives by Gigajoule technology is the cleanest way to burn all fossil fuels with the formation of small amounts of sulfur, mercury and particulate bits. Although the combustion of natural gas produces nitrogen oxides, their amount is much lower compared to the combustion of gasoline or diesel fuel used in cars. In addition to hydropower, natural gas turbine generators are the cleanest form of base-load power generation available today and in the foreseeable future.

We have been working extremely hard and thought it would be a good time to give you an update just before we launch our Private Sale on Friday 1 November.
Over the last few months we have noticed the IEOs have been performing rather poorly. Whilst negotiating with exchanges, we have also found that in order to list, we would need 2 or 3 times the amount we were wanting to raise to put into market making. This is a great avenue for a utility token wanting to promote their service, however, we have found that for fundraising - even on the biggest exchanges - IEOs are not raising what they used to.
As a result we did some reflection and realised that we fit more into a STO environment. We are proudly a security token, we have engaged legal counsel to ensure that we are compliant with legal and regulatory frameworks and we would love nothing more than for our community to share in our profits when our projects are up and running.
We have decided to partner with the largest Security Token platform - Polymath - https://polymath.network. Their infrastructure has been independently audited and they are the leader in this new wave of blockchain based investment. Their platform does the heavy lifting for us to roll out our GIGJ token, from issuance to dividend payments and we believe it is the best fit for us.

Where will Gigajoule floating stations be located?
Gigajoule team has spent years preparing for the introduction of the first three floating power plants in Nigeria.
Why Nigeria?
The choice of Nigeria as the first location for the installation of floating power plants was due to a number of reasons:
* the abundance of natural gas in the country;
* existing national transmission system;
* support from the World Bank to guarantee the government's commitment to pay for the purchase of electricity produced by floating power plants under the electricity purchase Agreement.

Investment in the power generation sector has not achieved anything near its potential
180 trillion standard cubic feet proven gas reserves, yet only a fraction of this is used for power generation. We have spent four years developing three project sites which are capable of immediate
implementation, using the floating power plant technology on a bespoke basis.
Each project is designed for a 528MW installation. The technology is best-of-breed utilizing the Siemens GT A65, a 66MW gas turbine which is an aero-derivative engine commonly known as the Rolls Royce Trent with class-leading efficiency.
Over 30 years of research and development have gone into this package! As far as the reliability of the technology is concerned, the SGT-A65 has a continuous operating life of 50,000 hours (6 years) after which (in under 72 hours) the core of the turbine is removed and replaced. As a result of this reliability and the quick change-over time, Siemens, is able to provide a guarantee that the generating sets will be available to operate for the equivalent of 95% of all the hours in a twenty-year period. It can also be extended up to forty years.
Siemens is Corporate Operator, which in turn, also provides operational performance guarantees of fuel efficiency and the availability to generate power for 95% of the 24/365 hours for at least 20 years.
The SGT-A65 can provide base-load power both to national electrical grids and for industrial applications!

WHAT IS A GIGAJOULE TOKEN?
The Gigajoule token (symbol: GIGJ) is the digital token that shall be issued in the IEO, using the Ethereum standard ERC, for the conduction of the fundraising. GIGJ tokens shall be available for purchase throughout the IEO and will be delivered to investors wallets after the completion of the IEO.
ARE GIGJ UTILITY TOKENS OR SECURITY TOKENS?
GIGJ tokens will be security tokens, not utility tokens. Utility tokens, the most common method in ICO/IEO fundraising, give token holders the right to exchange them for goods and services to be produced by the project which is financed through the ICO/IEO. Token holders do not participate in any way in the profits of the project. In contrast, security tokens provide investors with profit earning rights, among other potential rights.
WHAT RIGHTS DO GIGJ TOKEN HOLDERS HAVE?
GIGJ token holders shall have a right to earn 15% of the annual profits generated by all Gigajoule projects, according to the percentage of tokens they hold. For instance, if in year 2025 a total of $20,000,000 in net profits is generated, a token holder who owns 5% of the GIGJs in circulation, will earn the sum of $150,000 in annual profits ($20M x 15% x 5%).
