Hey guys - good stuff!  Here's a little update from Ton in the slack just now:

just to let everyone know that everything is progressing well

was asked today how we manage to support so many different blockchains while other wallets tend to usually be only ethereum and it's tokens

the devs spent a lot of time into this wallet so that we can integrate with other blockchains in the future (not just erc20 tokens)

it's really something that no one else has managed to accomplish at this size and we are quite proud of it. Now we have to stabilize the wallets with the API clusters and then we can ready to advertise

Exodus supports 5 blockchains and the rest are erc20 tokens

with the NVO wallet we can easily add ERC20 later on

Jaxx supports 6 blockchains and rest are erc20

NVO supports 8 and the other 2 are protocols on the Bitcoin blockchain just with the first release

so nemgun has thought really far into the future while developing on the wallet and that's really amazing imo

and most of the blockchains and protocols we have added are used for adding tokens so we can expect to support the most coins easily by the next updates to come. In the future we can expect to be the top wallet.

i have the CEO of ledger on skype so once we are ready we can integrate but it's not a priority at this stage of development

Veserus is going great we are optimizing the exchange for later use with NVO. The old UIs were really hard on the eyes so I had them change it. I don't want to shoot myself trying to read the numbers at night

unfortunately there won't be a light version

just one semi-dark version but it's really easy to use that's all we need

Thanks for the update centermissing, good work!

Ton's statement sounds promising, keep on doing the great job and all will be fine:)

On coinmarketcap they show already a trading volume of around 6 BTC/14'000 $. Does anyone know if and where it is possible to trade NVST?  The coin is not yet listed on an exchange, or is it?
Inside counterwallet there is some exchange https://wallet.counterwallet.io/#
Note that there are only XCP pairs

Ah okay, thanks for your reply Smiley I did not know they even take these "inofficial" numbers...

Folks,

I invested in the NVO ICO and gave my bitcoin wallet address associated with my Ledger Nano S because I have clear ownership of the private key for that wallet. I realise now that I can not see any tokens directly for this wallet using the Ledger software. For my Ether wallet on my Nano S I use myetherwallet.com, which works great. What can I do for the bitcoin wallet on my Nano S to be able to see the nvo tokens? Can anyone please help me with this?

I have emailed nvo support a couple of times but have not received any reply from them yet.

Thanks
McBitty.

you need to join the slack chat for more support.

If you just want to check if you have received your NVST or not, you can enter your public address (!) at xchain.io and see the balance of it. The NVST are listed there. If you want to trade your NVST already, I think you have to use Counterparty wallet.

Here is another way to look at it:

15,000,000 NVO / 3055.120324 BTC = 4,909.79 NVO/BTC

You get 4,909.79 NVO per each 1 BTC invested.

OK...
I invested 0,042411 BTC, then 0,01500814 and 400xrp at what it seems now  0,00010822 per xrp and got a measly 212NVST, not even NVOT!

400xrp @ 0,00010822 = 0,043288 BTC

So the breakdown is:

0,042411
+
0,01500814
+
0,043288
=
 0,10070714 BTC total invested.

My transaction reward is:
212.52945797 NVST

Can anyone please elaborate as to what the fuk?

I searched and found what NVST is:

Quote
i think the name of tokens are changed (a troll registered the tokens with the previous name and wanted money)

from slack : "NVST is the NVO token name, and NVSX is the secondary token name".

so basically

NVOT ---) NVST
NVOS ---) NVSX

i have tought about NVO name, in my prospective NUO (can be spelled also like new in english "NEWo") is better

NUOT
NUOS

Aha. Ok. My point was - I am missing nearly half of the tokens if 1 btc = 4,900 "NVST"

I was under the impression, that all altcoin transactions will be linked to the registered bitcoin address?
I just feel very much fucked over with this.

invested 260eur ( 0,10070714 BTC total) at the time and the return is 212 x what i now see is $0.51??  how is this possible that at the time of release i lose half of the value already??

its not being traded anywhere, right?

Is it possible that you invested BTC from two different addresses (for example electrum usually changes the receiving addresses); in this case the amount of NVST would be split up to two different addresses and you've only seen the balance of one address.

Because 212 NVST is more or less exactly 0.0432 BTC which was your last investment. So the rest of your NVST will possibly be on another BTC address of your wallet.

When I checked the balance of my address on xchain.io I noticed, that my tokens (x) match only half of the percentage which they actually should (x/15'000'000 = y, but the percentage z which is given to me by xchain.io is only y/2). So I wondered why that's the case and if I missed something here. Are there 15'000'000 more NVST which is hold by the dev/NVO team? Or why is this?
And if it is like this, will this tokens always stay at the NVO team for the 50% of the fees or are you "allowed" to trade them in the future?

I don't have a problem with it but I just wondered... Smiley

30m were created accidentally and devs burned 15m, so % being half is correct.

Ah okay thanks for the fast reply Smiley So they actually should not exist anymore... but I hope this will be considered when calculating the dividends?! because 15 Mio. tokens are still held by one address...

Okay, stupid guess. NVO team seems quite professional and will consider this Roll Eyes

I believe that any funds' transactions sent after the end of the crowdsale will be refunded. So, no, they will not buy NVOTs, and they didn't participate in the crowdsale — meaning they will not make everyone's number of NVOTs less.

Hello Guys,

I am happy to be part of the NVO Project!

I used Counterwallet to send BTC to the Crowdsale! All good.

Now i have a question (never used Counterwallet before), do i need to take any further actions to receive the NVOTs?
Or will they be send to my Wallet and and appear as NVOT?

Thanks!

Again my question. Does sbdy know?
When they start distributing NVOTs, they will provide a procedure for investors to follow. Also it is mentioned in the announcement thread that an NVO address import might be required on the investors-side (investors will be required to import NVO address into the counterparty wallet).

But this is only necessary if you want to use "early access" in counterparty wallet isnt't it?! If I want to wait for the NVO wallet I don't have to do anything to receive the tokens or am I wrong?

Do you already know at which time the exchange-rates of altcoin to BTC will be determined? Or will you publish them at some time? Because at the moment there are so many changes on the market ( Roll Eyes ) and it would be interesting to see which rates you are calculating with Grin

It will use factors from coinmarketcap, in order to keep the higher value during the exchange. As they will be exchanged on different exchanges in order not to dump the coins.

The coin dumping was exactly what I was afraid of, thank you for the clarification. Really apreciate the patience you bring toward us!  Smiley

I am shortly before investing, but I have one (hopefully) last question.

At the end of the ICO the altcoins will be "exchanged" for bitcoins for the calculation of the amount of NVOT each investor gets (as I read in other posts). Will this exchange-factor be determined by real exchange rates (the NVO team exchanges the altcoins for btc in an exchange for real) or will it just be calculated with a factor say from coinmarketcap.com (1 ETH = 0,145 BTC) for example?

Thanks for your help Smiley

I added a receiving address from my electrum wallet to the NVO(-ICO) account, as the guide says...

But I wondered if I need the private key by itself (the one which belongs to this one receiving address) afterwards or if I can use the seed (12 word phrase) to use the NVO wallet and see my NVOTs? (when they are distributed of course...)
Thanks in advance! Smiley

Also what determines how many coins a person gets?
Total amount raised / 15 000 000 = price per coin. That will be calculated after the crowdsale has ended.

This is one of the reasons that's still keeping me on the fence.
For example you collect $50 000
The price of a token will be $0.003
How much tokens will each person get?
Is it possible that if you invest for example $1000 that you might get only 100 tokens (worth $0.30 (losing out a lot?) )

I think you mean to divide 15 000 000 by the total collected money and not the opposite.
The formula is still incomplete, because how do you decide how much each person gets?

If I understood correctly the price of the token is dependent to the money collected...
Your first calculation is correct, if there is $50'000 collected, the price of each coin will be $0.00333... ($50'000 / 15'000'000)

In the second part I don't understand how you calculated...
The amount you invested will be used to "buy" the coins for the price it has at the end of the ICO ($0.00333... in this example)
So if you invested $ 1'000 you will get 300'000 coins (1'000 / $0.00333...)

Control calculation: You spent 1/50 of the whole money collected -> 50 x 300'000 coins = 15'000'000 coins

>> The more money is spent through crowdsale, the more expensive will the coin be and the less coins you will get for your money Smiley

If you are talking about a bitcoin address of which I own the private keys is it enough if i know the seed (for example electrum; the 12 word passphrase)? Because I don't find the private keys/wallet file by itself...

Thanks for your help Smiley

Hello
I'm relatively new to the world of cryptocurrencies but this project sounds very interesting to me.

I already read the guide how to participate on page 18 but there is something I'm not sure about (sorry if it is a stupid question)...
In the guide you wrote I should transfer the amount of BTC I want to spend from my wallet address (I use the electrum wallet) which I have registered as receiving address (step 4-5 in the guide). But in my electrum wallet I have 20 receiving addresses listed and no idea how to choose from which one the wallet should send the coins. Would you still recognize me as sender of the coins if my wallet uses another address than the registered one (step 4) or is this a problem?

Thanks for your help:)
