Mining difficulty will go up by 22%. What is you plan to do with 741?

741 seems outdated for me, even thought I am sitting on free socket.
You want to share where you get your magic number from?
And anyone sitting on ACTUAL free electricity and not mining is an absolute idiot. If you have free energy, then what is your reason for not using a 741? You're not making back compete profit fast enough...?

lets make the diff 1844 vs 922 and coins at 4000 see what we get.

with a pool charging 1% and diff 1844g 2x current diff the gear still makes 1.36 a day
I used

I think you took too small a sample for your increment, not least because it contained the lowest quarterly increment in the last two years(as far back as that web site shows). The average increment from the entire 2-year data set, is 5.46% per increment.
Using that average increment produces the following results...note that the calculator only goes about 280 days forward.
5.46% increment @ $3700 BTC, Avalon 741 ($875 inc. PS, 1150 watts) goes negative profit in 248 days, Net$(-434)
5.46% increment @ $4000 BTC, Avalon 741 ($875 inc. PS, 1150 watts) goes negative profit in 262 days, Net$(-341)
5.46% increment @ $5100 BTC, Avalon 741 ($875 inc. PS, 1150 watts) achieves ROI in 258 days, 280days Net$14
5.46% increment @ $6000 BTC, Avalon 741 ($875 inc. PS, 1150 watts) achieves ROI in 147 days, 280days Net$308
If the difficulty trend continues (which is possible due to overshoot in mining equipment purchases) then the BTC price will need to rise above $5000 for the 741 to be a winner.
More likely, the difficulty will stagnate as mining rewards dwindle, and rewards hover at a point that favors low or no-cost electricity.
But quick ROI is no longer to be expected.
