Re: Should I depend solely on Bitcoin?
by

on 25/07/2025, 16:31:14 UTC
A friend of mine just got into Bitcoin, lucky for him, his successful. Before he started Bitcoin, he was actually into a good business of selling artwork which wasn't so bad. So he got introduced to Bitcoin and had a quick success. It's actually a good and exciting thing to see someone progress fast like that, but he quit selling artworks and other little businesses that kept him going he stopped, he now depends fully on Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the king no doubt, but From my Point of view I think that depending fully on it might be risky to you financially. I don't recommend anyone to depend solely on Bitcoin or any single asset. Bitcoin can fluctuate rapidly and market volatility might impact your financial stability. It is actually very risky to invest in a single asset. The part that scares me the most is that my friend has put all his resources into this one asset. If am wrong please correct me. Thanks
It depends on how much you have been able to profit from your bitcoin investments. Alot of people who bought bitcoins at the very early stage and held till now without touching their coins would probably be able to spend their profits.. If its able to cover up all their expenses and give them a good life, they can choose to depend on it.. but it's advisible to get some investment aside bitcoin so you would be able to make extra income even if you choose not to do some physical work.. it can be an only investment or other crypto investments as well..

What's your position on this thought?
The pony about gambling with what you can afford to loss is simply so that you don't end up using funds that were meant for something very important... Most gamblers are careless and sometimes irresponsible due to their addiction.. they might borrow money from people or use moe h that's mean to for something very crucial hoping to get a double of it.. unfortunately they end up losing and begins to face regrets.. so it's better to not even think about it in the first place that's why it's said to gamble with to money you can afford to lose.. if you fail to do this, you will be the one to pay the ultimate price..

Despite the benefits of just gambling alone, there is also the beauty of gambling with other people that is undeniable. In this context, do you still prefer gambling alone?
With the advent of online casinos, it's quite easy to hide your gambling life due to how most people in the society perceive gambling as a bad or sign of an irresponsible individual... In the past we had fun going to bet shops, sitting on bench and watching our match from a big screen amongst a large crowd of fellow gamblers and sport lovers.. it's fun and you get to meet different people with their own view of the game screaming their innermost expression... Now we can simply bet on our devices and no one would even know about it...

Should I call the owner of the seedphrase careless or stupid? I guess he's both... Why would one risk the security of his funds by taking it around written on a piece of paper? I wonder if he has some coins on that because if he does, before he must had realised this video his coins must have already been moved... One lesson here don't always try to be too safe with your seed... Write it down and store somewhere safe..it shouldn't be around you all the time...

I guess you are the type that likes to play with colours.. well you gave some good points and I'll appluad you on that.. most times a lot of new traders fails to see the reason why they keep losing and at some point even think of giving up their trading career.. first thing first, get a good knowledge about trading.. get a mentor and stick to a good risk management plan. The market has countless number of trade so avoid chasing trades that are not worth the risk... Yes we have a lot of educational information and videos online especially on YouTube, you can learn the best ones and try to stick to one strategy at a time...

Re: Coyote malware stealing banking and crypto information

What is alarming is that its almost as its a real application being installed , and you can't detect that you are already compromise, feature is Keylog, fake login, steals login said that can also detects when a user is logging in, screenshot, which we have no idea it is happening, hope that antivirus company will be able to stop this kind of malwares, like the others but, to make sure everyone is safe don't just install applications, or click pop-up, emails because they are where everything starts simple click can flush everything.
It's a malware so its literally designed to look real so you as the user may not have any reason to question it's motive... Many times you see requests pop up on your screen asking to get permissions to your devices, some might not even see permission depending on your device settings install straight away...
One way to stay safe is to avoid logging in some confidential information on your pc, because it's usually much exposed. Avoid giving permissions to unknown apps and always read to know why such permissions is need if necessary...

Re: How quickly do you forget a loss
by
Hatchy
on 23/07/2025, 23:47:15 UTC
There is no gamer that will say they haven’t lost a game at anytime. We have our different staking abilities, I am referring to what you consider your high staking power. Last season was my best season in sport gambling but I had days that i had bitter losses.

I will like to know how quickly do you forget a painful loss and bounce back. I hate losing and after a big loss I will be frank I don’t forget it immediately although I don’t let it define my next game but it takes a while for me to forget a big loss and the best way I forget about a loss is how fast I can have a win in my subsequent games. A win is like an antidote to my sadness after a loss. So how fast do you forget a loss and what can help you in forgetting about it.
Eventually aside gambling no one actually enjoys losing... Losing is emotional, it's something many may not be able to bear no matter how hard they try..but in the end we all have to let go at some point just so we don't let the emotions control how we gamble.. when you make losses can consider quiting your current session and return another time.. it makes us restrategise our games and make better decisions...

Re: When gambling what do you measure? Luck or chances?
by
Hatchy
on 23/07/2025, 23:32:26 UTC
Different gambling activities have different chances attached to them and when I mean chances I am referring to the probability you have for actually win the bet or hit the jackpot in games like crash and slots. This is basically because sometimes unrealistic bets can sometimes play out as a win and some other times bets that have a high winning chance can eventually become the losing bet.

I believe people who gamble on sports may understand this better since sometimes in sports betting some gambler's prefer to go for the smaller odds that usually have a higher winning chance and sometimes they can still end up a losing game however some prefer to go for the big game with big odds and smaller winning chances.

What's usually your pick as a gambler since sometimes some persons are luckier than others?
It depends on how each individual or gambler defines chances or luck... Literally both mean that you have a probability to win a game and loss it making that 50/50... Each game designed on the casino gives you equal chances and it only differs by how you perceive the games and play it.. some games actually look easy but I tell you that those might be the most ugly but people rush over their just so they can try their luck...

Re: Most Gambling Countries
by
Hatchy
on 23/07/2025, 23:23:48 UTC
In getting the accurate stats of the countries that leads in gambling may be difficult in some cases , bit I noticed some person's saying the African countries are having the highest rate of gambling precisely Nigeria. But my question is how possible can that be when we have the head of gambling activities to be las Vegas which is under the united States, so therefore I believe las Vegas is leading the way with large addiction mass basically comprises of both online and offline users.
It's quite questionable because I know very well there are other countries leading when ut comes to gambling activities.. Nigeria barly has such many casino to rank it the highest. We have more of the betting shops scattered all over the country and alot of people prefer those betting shops in a way that they aren't much enlightened to online casino platforms... I guess if a stat is done on that regards as well, it may turn out to be just the youths who engage in gambling the most...

Re: Bitcoin mining using an Android phone
by
Hatchy
on 22/07/2025, 21:28:11 UTC
Such apps are usually scam.. they tell you to invest certain amount to a mining pool and get returns on a specific period of time... Avoid them at all cost..

I'll try to break it down for you... bitcoin mining requires very powerful computational power to compete with other miners all trying to solve a complex mathematical puzzle. The first miner to solve it gets to add a block of verified Bitcoin transactions to the blockchain and in return receives the newly mined bitcoins as a reward. So literally you mobile device doesn't have such computational power to compete...

Re: Trying to replace Bitcoin in the long run in life.
by
Hatchy
on 22/07/2025, 21:16:38 UTC
Bitcoin is not an investment, Bitcoin is savings. When you have excess fiat currency that you don’t plan to spend anytime soon, the best thing is to convert it into Bitcoin for the long term. Bitcoin is a hard and healthy form of money, like gold, but even better and harder than gold.

Shitcoins and Binance are more like gambling. Binance is basically a shitcoin casino. With shitcoins, it’s always the founders, insiders, and VC capitalists who win , they pump the price, and when naive retail gets in, they dump and leave with the profits. It’s best to avoid the shitcoin casino completely.

How is bitcoin not an Investment mate? And by bitcoin being harder what do you mean? Your reply seems not to be in contest of this topic.. Platforms like binance are called centralized exchanges and not casinos.. the are different from casino who offers you various games for your pleasure and fun...

Back to the topic, there are countless times where we have seen altcoins developers try to claim that their tokens has great potential, and probably even better than that of bitcoin.. but it's all just a scheme to lure potential investors. Once the tokens are launched, it spend couple of days pumping like a balloon about to explode and then it's dumped...

Bitcoin is the only investment plan that would yield you a long term profits and if one wishes to invest in cryptocurency, bitcon should be his first option ....

by
Hatchy
on 22/07/2025, 12:14:06 UTC

If yes, I’d like to hear your story. How did you justify it to yourself at the time?
It's actually possible most times that the casinos makes us loss our games.. though it may not be directly but I've experienced something similar to this on crash... I actually got up to a reasonable amount of multiplier the highest I had for that day, but I kept on pressing the cash out button but was to no avail... I ended up losing that round . It was pretty annoying for me and I blamed the casino because it seemed to be their fault at some point... I couldn't think of any other thing at that point.. it might have been a network issue but I just concluded because of how bad other games were and the only game that went well ended up in loss...

Re: 'We Can Double Your Bitcoin', why are Nigerians still falling for this in 2025?
by
Hatchy
on 22/07/2025, 10:26:24 UTC
I'm not surprised that many people will still fall for such scam... With how the country is, everyone is looking for any means to put food on their table and most of them want it quick.. these scammers as well want to put something on their table so they purge their ill activities onto innocent but greedy fellows..

They can't totally be stopped, so it's good to inform people of such things so they become aware and stay off anything that requires you send money to get money in return.. that the true definition of Ponzi...

Re: Chances to buy Bitcoin back
by
Hatchy
on 21/07/2025, 21:27:57 UTC
thank you.
so are you saying that there is a possibility of not being able to buy it back?

There will always be a chance for you to buy BTC again... The market will not forever remain bullish... My advice for you, if you feel you want to sell, take a some portion and sell, and be ready to buy back if there's a chance of market becoming bearish... Don't take this as a financial advice though...

Or you can continue to accumulate using the dollar cost average.. that way you won't miss out on any market move and if the market eventually becomes bearish, you would still be able to acquire bitcoin from your still available capital....

I saw this thread on the Meta board and I decided to bring it here since here is our beginners board where newbies always visit so they can see the strategy some people are using in order to scam newbies here in this forum.
I'm sure this is not the only newbie that oletiteb may have sent the message to and even though this account has been banned I'm still very sure he may have other accounts he or she is using to send messages like this to newbies in this forum.
Their targets in the forum are always newbies because they know old forum members won't fall for their scam easily and because newbies are naive about the forum they decide to go for them.
Please all newbies in this forum be very careful don't give in when you receive messages like this even if it is from a legendary member.
And lastly report anybody that sent you scam messages so dey can be disciplined by the forum.

So, I log in today and find this scammy PM. I wonder how actually common this is. Can I request this user banned until Sun is gone?

Hi. I noticed u are new here
Recruitment is open for the private group who want to make on crypto
Access is free based on the results of the interview
Contact to the telegram if you are interested

We can't fully cub the scam attempts on a public forum as this, but we can inform everyone, not just newbies so they stay alert of the potential risks of falling into the hands of these scammers... Most times they redirect their targets off the forum to other external sites or social media where they may not longer be noticed until their evil deed is done. So it's very paramount that you report any unsolicited pms you receive on this forum and avoid contacting anyone that kinda offers you a deal you didn't ask for.. stay safe you all...
