Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻
by

News

Saifedean Ammous has received excellent support since joining El Salvador's Nayib Bukele as an advisor. And in Nayib Bukkel he will surely be successful because he has hired an experienced author of the Bitcoin standard. So I would like to say that El Salvador is currently the main focus of discussion and criticism of Bitcoin investment. And he will decide to invest in Bitcoin which is waiting for the bull market.

I really think that is a very nice move. With Dr saifedean Ammous on Thier side as a personal advisor, they just topped their game.

from what I read he offered his services for free and see a great future for the young people of  El savador. Saifedean Ammous has been of great help to the Bitcoin community as he is one of the men driving Bitcoin into the future and will also be of great help in El Salvador.

Re: I was shocked that my Neighbor also used bitcoin as mode of payment
by

It's a good thing, your neighbor did. And it's great to see small business embracing an other payment option to their customers. By doing this, he is not only catering to customers who actively use Bitcoin, but also promoting awareness and adoption of digital currencies in your local area.

If I'm going to buy $10 worth of items in the store why should I have to wait ten minutes on average and pay a 20% fee if paying with cash I don't pay fees and I don't have to wait.
Using LN would make more sense, but you would have to open a channel with each customer, so neither.

Even though people don't pay or purchase goods from his store using Bitcoin because of the high cost of transaction fee, I think he has actually helped a lot way in promoting Bitcoin adoption. Even a passer-by would be interested in knowing what bitcoin is about. And I think that if more ideas like this is promoted, that is Bitcoin flyers and bill boards are made available in our local areas, it would also go a long way in promoting Bitcoin adoption.

I think you have made a mistake here, 4/6 users you listed have been banned, if you can't see it, you can install more BPIP utility, it is a chrome extension that was designed by a member of this forum. Just do a search with key "BPIP Extension", and when you install it, you can see a lot of essential information around a user when they post.

As long as you take a moment out to report them, surely the moderators will care and ban them if they feel that it is correct. Don't worry about fairness in this forum, it is great!

Okay thanks I will have to update that right now and download Bpip utility to

There are many features of the electrum wallet that makes it outstanding but most users who have larger amount of Bitcoin would prefer to use a more secured means to store their Bitcoin that is the hardware wallets. Being a light weight wallet, the electrum wallet gives it users control over their private keys.

There's already a topic made on the use and features of the electrum wallets you  can check it out

The Completion of My House Project, a testimony of faith and perseverance
by
Hatchy
on 21/05/2023, 17:18:13 UTC
It fills my heart, with great joy and gratitude as I write this post to share a significant milestone in my life.with the blessings and guidance of the Lord almighty, I have I have successfully completed my house project. This achievement is a testament to the power of faith, perseverance, and the unwavering support of my loved ones.

In 2018, I embarked on a journey to build my dream home. It all began when I acquired a plot of land and started the construction process. Along the way I encountered numerous challenges and obstacles.

The loss of my dear grandmother weighed heavily on my heart, and as the first son of my parents, I had additional responsibilities that put my project on hold. Despite these setbacks I never lost faith. I knew deep within my soul that God had a plan for me and I remained positive in my determination to see my house project through to completion.  April of this year marked a turning point in my life as I proudly rounded up the final touches and officially completed my house. It is a moment filled with overwhelming joy, gratitude, and a profound sense of accomplishment. I give all glory, to God for his grace  blessings bestowed upon me.

I would like to take this opportunity to encourage each and every one of you to continue believing in God's divine plan for your lives. with the current situation of the country I know everything is not going as most of us had planned. but Whether you earn through your jobs, business ventures, or even cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, I urge you to exercise patience and trust in God. Time and again, I have witnessed how perseverance and faith can help us achieve our goals and exceed our expectations.

I extend my appreciation to this our community here on Bitcointalk, where I can also share this personal milestone. May our shared experiences inspire and uplift one another as we navigate through life's challenges and pursue our dreams.

Re: Where do reports go?
by

on 08/06/2023, 20:48:41 UTC
how is the accuracy of the comment is been calculated?
MiningBuddy has not been active since 2018.

By accuracy, do you mean how the moderators are able to tell if the report is correct? When giving a report about a post, you have to be concise and provide a clear proof of the problem you want the moderators to check out. By doing this you may have a high chance of your report being  addressed by moderators.

who is the current Moderator in beginners and Help board since MiningBuddy has not been active since 2018.

There was a topic before in 2019 about the issue of replacing minigbuddy as the moderator of B&H since he hasn't actually been active for a while now. Here's a quote from hilariousandco on this matter

Quote
it does need a dedicated mod though, just like several other sections do. MiningBuddy may still be listed there but he hasn't been a mod for quite some time. Theymos just hasn't removed his name from there.

There is no current moderator of The beginners and help board and I don't think that Theymos has the plans of adding any soon. We have some other boards without moderators and I think the global moderators are taking care of such boards. so buddy there's nothing to be worried about. If you have any report to make then feel free drop them, a moderator will surely look into it.

Re: Without money, the knowledge is a waste
by
Hatchy
on 16/06/2023, 22:21:15 UTC

I will disagree with you on this. Not having money to buy or invest in cryptocurrency doesn't actually mean that you can't study or you shouldn't study about it. you cam always gain knowledge and keep saving up until you get enough funds to start investing. So it doesn't necessarily mean that your knowledge of Bitcoin has been wasted it will definitely come in handy.

I want to know the essence of wanting to crowd ones brain Brain with so much about bitcoin  when such a person doesn't have any more to buy rather than seeking ways to buy?

Let's take for instance, here on Bitcointalk, a community where Individuals from different part of the world all come together. i really don't think that most members of this forum who are Bitcoin holders today, actually invested their money on it. They probably got their first Bitcoin here from signature campaigns and this wouldn't have been possible without having knowledge about Bitcoin. So from this, you can see the advantages of studying Bitcoin even when you don't have money to invest in it.

If I may, your topic should rather be without knowledge, your Money is a waste Because even when you have all the money to invest in Bitcoin or crypto, without knowledge you end up Lossing all your money.

I really want know if getting more degrees can make life financially better

We should not forget that knowledge is power. Nowadays, companies often prefer people with practical experience over just having a degree. But having both knowledge and experience is the best. It helps you stand out in the job market. So,no knowledge is wasted. Getting a good job also depends on how well you connect with others.

In countries where it's hard to find a good job, it's a good idea to learn useful skills and look for work locally. Because finding a better even with your degrees might not be easy. Unless you search for opportunities in a different country.

Ohh thanks a lot. I will do that for sure. Can you delete thoose thread which seems like spam.
And also let me know what is the meaning of (OP) here in my user name?

He can't do that, only an admin or a mod can delete them. The op close to username, means original poster. It appears close to your username, when you create a new post.

As for your original question, it might seem dumb, but if you still want to know how much is being paid or received from a signature campaign, then you might have to check every spreadsheet on every campaign thread. You just have to visit the service board (link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0)
There, each campaigns has a spread sheet, find and open it there nothing hidden on the forum. Here's one, you can check out

Re: My first knowledge in bitcion/bitciontalk
by

on 24/09/2023, 15:59:37 UTC
I heard about bitcion from my uncle and he has been talking about bitcion since February 2022 and have been hearing how bitcion pays and support youths. If invest in long term. And he also warned me that bitcion is not get quick rich scheme and there are different ways one can get bitcion. And the ones he told me were:
1) buy bitcion and store it in the wallet for the next bull market   to come. And he told me to buy it in the bear market and invest it for a long term investment for like 3_5 years period, so I am planning to invest for the long term.
2) trading is the buying and selling of bitcion in the market at all time or anytime which gives you profit if you can trade well. But trading is more risk than investment.
3) mining is the solving of mathematical problem through computing system when someone send bitcion to a recipient, a minor must mine the cions in the blockchain before the recipient will receive the coin.
         Conclusion:
In my incusive to know more about bitcion, he told me to register in bitciontalk so I will be learning and knowing more from there. So if I make any mistake in any of my writing, please correct me. I am open to correction.

wow, your uncle knows alot, is he here on the forum cause i would love to know him. hope you dont mind telling us his user name?

Getting rid of gambling is not possible especially when you are addicted to it whereas no matter how many times you losses the Yorning of playing more will still come

If smokers can quit smoking, then quitting gambling is definitely possible. It all depends on the person in question. Sometimes these habits are not just ordinary but might be backed by other forces(spiritually). For someone to quit gambling, they have to go through many process which they might find difficult. They will have to engage them selves with another thing that will take the place of gambling. Something much fun, I really don't know what it might be, it all depends.  One can either try to quit gambling Or learn how to gamble wisely which might be a better solution.

Re: Can Gambling affect your relationship?
by
Hatchy
on 20/09/2023, 06:48:35 UTC
Gambling is one of the key problem relationships face.

How exactly is gambling a key problem? Gambling can only affect a personal relationship when addiction falls in place. When we speck of addiction, some how to me it's when someone who consistently loose to the house keeps playing to the extend of stealing or loaning funds to gamble. This way he is becoming stress over something he isn't certain to have a possible result which might leave him somany bills and dept to pay. From this, I will say such person is becoming irresponsible and this might end up damaging his relationship not only with a spouse but also to his local area. On the other hand for someone who sometimes wins and losses, understand his limits and when to stop, I will call this a responsible gambler. And such person can maintain a health relationship.

Re: Have you seen gambling advertisements on TV? Opinion.
by

on 26/09/2023, 21:25:24 UTC
Those gambling sites are usually sponsors of such sporting activities, that why they are aired on Tv alongside some sports. There's no point living to your kids about it mate. As long as you show them a good example and don't gamble if front if them. They won't mind. I think parents makes one mistake all the time and that is, when your child ask you something that you know they should be aware of, just give them an idea of what it is, so they can chill on that issues. If you let them go out on Thier own to know what it is, they will probably learn it the wrong way and try at all means to know how it works. So I will suggest you stop lieing and tell them the truth about the adverts.
